  • Welcome Nuala! Nice to see you! I spend maybe 2 hours 3 days a week doing housework, and I try to wash up and keep things relatively tidy on the other days. The point of the flylady is to free up more time to live and spend less time on housework – if you have a clean and tidy house it makes everything run more smoothly! Most people spent whatever time they have, some fly for a bit in the evenings after work, others fly in the day or at weekends or what ever works for them. It's best to do a little a day which is why we have the lists.

    Lil_me, Matthew sounds great!

I have the remnants of this week and next week left then I'm on the shelf again. When are you flying out? If you fancy a jaunt to Newport, which I now know so very well and can put up with the dog on the journey, I'm sure we could do it together. We might even be able to pop in and see Jo at the same time...

And it doesn't take two minutes to pop into a PO to get a form and another four minutes to use their photo booth :p

Erm yes... but I fly out on Saturday :o ... so if I do need it I'm going to have to do some quick thinking, and try to pass a main post office when it's open!

Obviously it'll definitely need doing when I'm back... so... I think Natty & Rosepink need to get together. I can meet rosepink somewhere on the way back from work, then you and I can wander down to Newport to see Jo & Holly... :D

    Hi Rosepink!
Lovely to see you - I've not been saving my coins any more but am still being good paying extra off loan.
You're super-organised, I can only aspire to that but I think lurking here and reading what you all do will help. The time you spend sounds doable to me and I like the idea of it freeing up weekends. I've got a busy work day tomorrow so I won't be doing housework then but I will start thinking about where to start.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

I think we should do that trip to Newport but you'd need to book the appointment first.... I could pick you up on the way - but not until week after next and then not the 20th - I'm on a first aid course...

Jo - that dog is not ginger - please don't insult him so - he's a gorgeous red colour. If he's a cross between a setter and a spaniel then he will be extremely intelligent. You need to teach him what the boundaries are. He will soon learn. And keep him stimulated with intelligence games (like shut him out of a room, hide treats behind cushions etc. and get him to sniff 'em out). Don't forget, he's needing to settle into his new routine and family too.

Right, I'm off to bed. Night all
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
