I was actually tempted to get my sons to wash the one accessible downstairs window until I realised that DH had done that yesterday - for the first time since we moved 7.5 years ago! (Does it count if we get someone else to do one of the tasks rather than doing it ourselves?)

I'm almost wanting to do my HHI and sort a cupboard now before going to bed but that would be a little too keen for my first day wouldn't it?
It doesn't matter who you delegate to, as long as it gets done! And it doesn't have to be done on the day either... so the bathroom bits you did will count towards bathroom day (if they're on the list). Well done on your first day!

    Right... where's my list?

    Good evening, all.

I've hardly stopped since I came in from work, but it's been worth it. Apart from my new list of dailies (morning, at work, after work, before bed), I've also made a plum and apple crumble and a banana loaf (thanks for the recipe, sexymouse). Not through boredom, but the fruit needed using up. The boys claimed the last two bananas for a milkshake.

I've still got to have a quick shower, do lunches, put the SC on and start the WM. Best not forget about a quick bit of planning for tomorrow... :o

The dailies list is working so far - the only thing I didn't manage to fit in is decluttering, both at work and at home. Must work on that, but it was only the first day, so I'm proud. :D I don't think I ever managed L1 on a work day! The extras will wait.

Monday~ Kitchen of Grot and Dining Room of Gloom
    Level One
    DONE :j:j:j
    Level Two
Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
    Clear a sticky dishevelled cupboard
    Level Three
Wipe the table and replace the cloth if necessary.
HHI - DH will do that tomorrow night!
Clean the oven and hob.. - done the hob

    Extras
    1. Clean out the fridge.. make use of anything almost past its best
    2. Wash the windows
    3. Binbag dance
    4. clean door deals, filters and detergent drawers!
    Monday’s extras:
Finish setting up calendar and diary
Phone Polar for missing trim and compare price with local garage
    Decide on car tyre deals
    Write to-do lists for DS1 and DS2

I'll post tomorrow's list later, so I won't have to log on in the morning.

Hi  to all the new people - I'll miss keeping up with everyone, but it's all in a good cause.

I see you put yours to wide and varied use too

:rotfl: to me it will always be the milkrowave, ever since laddo called it that when he was a toddler when he used to watch us zap his milk :o

Guess I should go and make sarnies for the kids to save them time in the morning - I usually leave them to make their own

Great - level 1 is a dead cert, even though I'll be out most of the time. Due home just before 5, then out at DS1's college open evening (first of 3). I don't think I'll manage much else other than the dailies, apart from that.

    Any takers??

I seem to have missed something here Jo - do you have a four legged in the house? Pictures please so we can look and decide if we want to take him off your hands ;)
    greenbee wrote: »
I forgot about that! But I don't have either a form or photos yet :o I guess I'll have to decide tomorrow whether I'm going to take the risk, and if not I'll have to get my act together. Pity you've started working :p

I have the remnants of this week and next week left then I'm on the shelf again. When are you flying out? If you fancy a jaunt to Newport, which I now know so very well and can put up with the dog on the journey, I'm sure we could do it together. We might even be able to pop in and see Jo at the same time...

And it doesn't take two minutes to pop into a PO to get a form and another four minutes to use their photo booth :p

OMG:eek::eek::eek: I am sorry your HIGHNESS ...............ok just in case i have UNINTENTIONALLY missed anyone else here is what i have done from last week's thread so far - most of it probably out of date by now .........

rosieben hope the moving is going well and you are happy with your new flat.
PenPen hope you are ok and there hasnt been anymore BG bashing xx
Jinky I thought you were to be moving this weekend - are you all packed and ready to go? Hope your Gran is on the mend.

Kazm (((hugs))) sweetie I hope you have got through to DD and things are going to be better
Valli of course you realise honey that if a Dh is murdered with rat poison you will be an accessory for giving the link where to buy it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
fedup dont be rushing back to work - stress is a difficult illness to really understand so if the Dr says 2 weeks then take the 2 weeks - as for staying friends with your EX thats fine but you need to become stronger about the split first - IMHO you would be better to have very little contact for a while until you can cope with seeing him and not get upset. just because you are not in touch doesnt mean to say that you wont be 'friends' - give yourself some space honey.
mudbath what about keeping stripes on the lead some days so that she doesnt think its an automatic 'right' when she reaches the park. and i like the sound of hex's training too. I hope DS has had a better week and fingers crossed for the results on tuesday.
pigpen thats great news about your aunt - I hope they get the radiotherapy done soon and she feels better in time for christmas. I am sorry to see you are having such problems at uni etc but I acn only say that I wonder if some of it is down to the fact that you have been sooooo poorly and are still under par. I am in awe of you for getting your place at uni and IMHO I think you would regret it if you give it up - I ampleased you are going to give it until Christmas it will also give you time to speak to your new adviser. Thank goodness you got your money sorted out - what a relief and just in time to get you back on track. I hope you are feeling better and the bleeding is under control.

valli I am very impresed that you have done all that planning :T:T:T
sexy well done for getting in touch with the union and I am pleased you have managed to get some planning done to keep you ahead xx
grateful I see you have come to a decision regarding babies - hope you are successful - have fun trying!!!:D
pretz hope the new job is going well
LadyL hope you have had good week with DH and your new regime of meds is helping (((hugs)))
mummy2mygirls sorry to hear you havent been well - a little bit everyday and you will get it under control - you know you can do it.

Toonie I am glad your OH is helping with the lists - especially since you are both suffering - hope you both feel better soon - if you can keep OH helping the work will be done quicker and you will have more time to do things together
vivw nice to see you popping in - babysteps honey - level one and get used to doing that regularly and you will see a difference - what a lovely teacher you are - none of mine ever brought us cakes or pizzas!!
soappie "You need to understand that it's not the REAL Toots doing these things at the moment, it's her slightly incompetant PA. xx":rotfl::rotfl: psml - Oi !!!! less of the incompetant!!!! I think I should be your PA - you are a much more high profile executive lady than me!!!
toochoosey belated Happy Birthday honey - hope you had a lovely time.:bdaycake:
scotrae sorry to read you are out of work - its not easy - dont try to do the whole house at once just follow the lists as best you can and soon you will see a difference. try to establish easy routines that you can maintain.

    toots xx
