I just love the wonders of the internet, my 18 year old nephew is on a gap year and else where in the world, he ran in a marathon, I have just watched him cross the line, and seen all the photos, just like being there, but none of us are.

    Hugs to all

rosepink well done but still lots to do! Why dont you focus just on that room this week and get it spotless, borrow your neighbours hoover and get it totally spick, you'll feel brill and the bd will turn from a big labrador into a poodle. Then next week you could nominate another room to blitz if you have another which you need to tackle? keep going though girl:T
thankyou.gifI am trying to focus on it, good idea about borrowing neighbours hoover, hadn't thought of that! Knowing me I will probably break it! The whole flat needs blitzing, but I need to take it steady. Next week I will probably be focusing on the main lists or else the place will descend into chaos and then I will be blitzing another area the week after.

Dusty, hope they find your cheque, that sounds like a nightmare, was it for a large amount?

Natty, if you still want to meet up, maybe you could bring the hostess trolley here and then I could take it to Greenbee’s and she could pass it to someone else…and eventually it will get to Jo! ETA: Just seen Jo’s post about going to London so this might not be necessary!

Toots, have a lovely time at Macmillan tomorrow xx

Jinks, did they take £60 out of your account or £40? Might be worth checking your balance!

Scotrae you have done incredibly well today! Well done!

Hellsbells, makes you wonder why you bother doesn’t it! Grr to DD

Tim brought a chicken home from his Mum and I made some mash and cooked some veg and it was lovely! I've fancied mash for ages. Going to freeze the rest

I got nearly 5800 steps today and have just looked at my pedometer and I'd leaned on it and zeroed it so now I feel like this frazzled.gif

Tomorrow will be more of Phase 2, I should be able to get behind the TV done! Yay! And a man is coming to reseal the bath, sink and kitchen sink, so i need to make sure these areas are accessable and clean and tidy. He was meant to come in June, remind me tomorrow why it's taken so long if you are interested

It's amazing the difference the tidying makes! The kitchen looks great (although windows/window sills need doing in the next few weeks). I know that none of the cupboards are particularly grubby, but I may find one to do (in fact, I could hoover out the hoover cupboard. I'll wash the floor when I do the hall/loo/stairs.

Just a couple of bits and pieces that need doing and then I'm off to bed...

Ive done enough tonight now, Im wiped out!

The spare room is gutted - completely!

My room is kinda done....whats left on the floor will be put on the bed tomorrow when I get out of it in the morning.

Downstairs however is like a bomb hit it!!

There are boxes of toys, piles of board games, suitcases.....its just a sea of carp as far as the eye can see!! Im going to spend tomorrow morning trying to make it presentable before they come at 9.15!!!

Im sure I can be persuaded to stop for a coffee on the Sunday on my way back from London.

On the Friday, I am going straight to my aunts from work, so will be about 9ish before I get there and little one will be tired, but Sunday when Im on my way back should be ok? Depending of course if I can see Natty in between those times.

But yay - come to newport!!

I do have a four legged friend here with us.

He is a cross between a Spaniel and a red setter, so he looks kinda like a biggish ginger spaniel. And as toots rightly points out, his name is copper.

He is technically my little boys dog but I couldnt cope with a four year old and a puppy so he went back to scotland to live with my mum. Now that shes off to Oz for 3 months, he is back with me and littley. Copper is 3 now and Sebastian is 7 so its much easier, but hes a big sook and wants my attention all the time, which is fine till Im trying to do something!!!!!!!!

hang on, i will try to post a pic x

That's sweet! I call mine a mirkowave after seeing it spelt that way on a plug in a holiday cottage once. And because mine usually needs cleaning :o

    Hi,

I've started lurking here as I really need to sort the house ouit. It's in chaos due to decorating which isn't finished yet. Will also be getting some repairs done which will make more mess. And I need to declutter as house is going up for sale soon.

Could I ask how long you spend each day on housework etc? I've never been good at having a routine - tend to blitz housework and spend all day at it and then fall over.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!
