I did raise that odd one with my GP when you told me to, but showed them again today....I have ringworm:eek: and thought that the itchy thing there was one, its on the back of my shoulder, and the locum said it has to go...got to let it heal and they will whizz it off in the new year.
Oh poor you....my other frienjd down your way had that and didn't know what it was.
Easily treated with iodine I think...or is that not what they do nowadays?0 -
I should write to her as I'm her age, never married, so she's "ahead" of me there (allbeit for only 7 years before she mucked that up) ... don't have the cushty job, don't have the cushty cash rolling in, don't have the connections etc.... she really does deserve one huge big slap.
They do say: "Be careful what you wish for - you might get it". Well, she chose to live where she does, chose the lifestyle and all the animals. Tough t1tty it didn't turn out to be as lovely as being The Lady of the Manor in Emmerdale.
What a whiner. How VERY dare she!!?0 -

I'm taking a pill....but luckily I knew what it was and spotted it as son as it came up last night and put some athletes foot cream on it (the ringworm, not the mole) and hopefully will stop anything going too crazy.

I was trying to work out why I read her columns. When they were just about Londonlife and her ex husband, I didn't really bother...just glanced at them, but when she bought the farm...and then wrote some really annoying rants about working mother colleagues shirking, I started to read her stuff more regularly.
What she spent ££££ on always stunned me, but, I didn't really have an opinion or judgement...I mean, if you want to buy £50 candles, £1000 Bottega Veneta dresses or feed rats organic meusli from M+S, and can afford it......who am I to judge?
It was finding ot she had a sub prime mortage on the farm and £150k of CC debt that highlighted the columns to me...made me read them differently.
But £450k pa salary for writing this stuff...that takes the biscuit, it really does.0 -

Thanks for helping me deal with the mortification Pastures:rolleyes:.
I almost wept this morning. Doctor told me they knew it wasn't grubbiness, just me being ..vulnerable... and that people who have persistant athletes foot often also scratch their bits... because they don't put socks on before pants . So if you have filthy foot hygeine, put socks on before pants.0 -

yes you can, but mine don't have it! (yet). so far the cats are not convinced they shouldn't be sitting with me, so I've covered it,an they'll have to have a fungicide bath jut in case. We had ring orm on a horse once, and we left it with a companion, prepared to treat both for the sanity of the former (horses don't cope well with alone time) and the other never caught it..hoping the same happens here this time.0 -

You aren't whining or self-serving or anything else I think of La La Liz. Sorry about the ringworm though. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
