Cedrickerry Happy Birthday! :bdaycake:
.
Thank You Becs .....pretty crummy day. DH has been on a downer and gambling again (he's a compulsive gambler) gone through £100 in 2 days and still no birthday present, and my card was from the box upstairs. Try not to look upset for him. Nothing from my immediately family - not even cards. Work colleagues made up for it though with some nice little gifts. Fancied a meal out but DH had agreed to go on call so no luck ......bought a huge pizza and only managed 3 slices
No luck on the TTC front either - 2 days of EWCM wasted I feel and to top it all I'm older so that makes TTC even harder.
Sorry to be on such a downer, have opened some fizzy wine which may help (as DH is lying on the sofa watching the footy)2009 total raised £2373.60:jthe new garden beat me in 2010 just £1306.66:o2011 - 365 £ a day.

:grouphug:Ah Cedrickerry what a crap day! Hope your DH has some serious guilt feelings and makes it up to you soon! Try a bit of self pampering with a nice bath and some candles with your fizzy to make you feel better!
Welcome Dusty, I will add you to page 1 now!
Maddie I think parking is one of the most contencious issues! I have a friend who bought a house that doesn't have parking outside, just a garage around the corner. There is parking in front of the house next door though so she took to parking there instead. Then the original neighbours moved and now the current neighbours want to park there. Friend has not taken this well as believes this is "her" space even though it's in front of neighbours house. She's got a little one now and frequently has stand up rows with this poor woman because she has to carry baby and shopping from round the corner! She can't see that technically anyone can park there and if anyone does have more right than the other it's her neighbour as it's outside her house! It's certainly made me realise that parking outside is crucial, what does happen if you have a little one and go and do the shopping, you either have to keep lugging bubs back and forward whilst you empty car or leave it in the car or house alone! :eek:0 -
Maddie lovely house. I live on a terraced street so it's each man/woman for themselves when parking up!! I've never known anything different though - I've always lived in a terraced house without a parking space.
I'm hoping a bit on inane rambling from me over tea will help cheer my friend up tomorrow night! I'm just going to rabbit on like I normally do and make her laugh (if she wants too). Alternatively, I'll offer my shoulder and a cuddle...whatever she needs.
I have really chapped lips. Managed to get through all this cold snap fine and now my lips go!! Boo!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
% of house owned/% of mortgage paid off. July 25 - 38.82%/31.66%

Very good point with the shopping becs - I imagine that could become a bit of a nightmare.
How do people without cars cope???
I used to live in a 4th floor flat with no lift and it was such a challenge bringing shopping in from the car. I got good(ish) legs though! We went from that to a semi with a little drive and it was such a luxury.
cedrickelly sorry you've had a crummy birthdayyou should definately treat yourself somehow this evening xxx
Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Blimey, you lot can talk; have got loads of catching up to do so have been clever and posted a doc in word to add too as I go along as my memory is shocking.

Sleeptiger; I so wish that your idea could actually happen; it might also help me in my diet if I could see the copious amount of chocolate that I am scoffing at the mo

To the whole ‘telling people that you are TTC’ debate. We didn’t but following the M/C I imagine that most people would automatically assume that we are! Hopefully though they will be sensitive and not constantly badger us for updates on my monthly cycles.!

Stef240377; Basically I think that as soon as you have stopped bleeding and feel up to it then go for it. I’m certainly intending to! I’m sorry but I did laugh when I heard of your toilet escapade!

Notmyusualname; re test etiquette. It would be nice if OH was with you but have you got the patience to wait???? I also love crumpets; great comfort food. LOL at samples in the fridge! It reminds of one poster who had a ‘special’ cup to pee in when testing and once saw her OH drinking from it! I don’t think she told him but merely had a little giggle to herself

Welcome GEG; I’m sure you’ll soon get the hang of it here but hoping, in a nice way, that you’re not here for too long!

As usual, I’m loving fuzz’s smilies and I’m also happy about Danni’s news! I think it’s because she is older than me and can still do it that gives me hope.

Ladylegs; welcome too and I’m also in the North West

Rach; sorry about your ankle; you said that your job involves walking; what do you do??? I would love a job that doesn’t leave me deskbound!

LOL at smartie’s lovely buns; how mature am I. Hope everything is going ok for you and keep us posted on your progress missus. X

I must admit that I don’t get remotely embarrassed about buying HPT’s

LOL at kamperkat prodding her boobs! We all do it so I can’t help laughing because you’ve just described me at certain times of the month!

Miss bint; is that your LO in your avvy??? Gorgeous!

Lauralou; loving the pink jacket; I also buy pink whenever possible. My ski trousers are bright pink; my thinking is that if there is an avalanche the mountain rescue will see me first! Hope you’re feeling a bit better now, if not, you know where your friendly stalker is!

Maddie; good luck with house buying; it’s a right stressful time; but will be worth it once you’re in and can decorate it exactly how you want it. I have to confess that parking is something that is important to me too. We have on street parking here but there is always a space even it’s a just a bit down from the front door.

Jacobsmum; what OV tests have you been using??? I use the superdrug ones and they were easy to use. I think there are some digital ones, aside from the clear blue, that may be less confusing but I think they are quite expensive but…probably cheaper than if you waste the ones you are using now by them not being clear enough iyswim

Twinklie; sorry to hear about your friend; I really hope that things work out. How are you feeling anyway; any other weird bodily things going on with you????

Cedrickerry; Happy birthday to you! Sorry it’s been a bit of a pants day.

Becs; any news on the tests that your OH had; apologies if I missed anything on that subject.

Wow, didn’t I do well. Sorry if I missed anyone; it’s not intentional honestly! I haven’t commented upon anyone wanting advice on temping etc as I really don’t have any idea.

My initial joy on finally stopping bleeding following the M/C was premature; it started again so the hospital want me back in tomorrow am; I might have to have a D and C but won’t find out until they see me. I stupidly rang them from work thinking that I would be ok but as soon as I got off the ‘phone burst into tears at my desk. Luckily the girls I work with are fab so it wasn’t too hideous an experience. I just want to be able to move on and I can’t at the mo.
Feeling a bit meh at the moment but on a happier note, the tickets for our holiday at the end of January turned up today so the mood chez Ellie has lifted considerably. The joys of being female eh!0 -
Evening lovely ladies
I am indeed guilty of posting far too much random rubbish - but in my defence I have no work this week and hes in work all this week so im lonely and refusing to do anymore cleaning - although i did think today ohhhh i could well paint a room while hes out at work and hed never know ~ and then realised the flat would smell and id make a mess. plus i dont want here to be my forever house - its very much a boys bachelor pad and not in an area id want to bring up lo's plus i dont like the room spacings (oh im being fussy tonight)
Im CD 23 and normally a 28 day cycle and going back home tomorrow and very tempted to poas in the morning while im with him - trying hard to resist walking to tescos now or seeing as hell be walking past on his way home :rolleyes:Could you be my sunshine on a cloudy day?
Could you be my yellow when im feeling grey?0 -
Happy Birthday Cedrickerry! Sorry to hear its not been the best day ever. Theres still 2 1/2 hours left; hope it picks up a bit for you.
Grrrr! I feel so stupid for feeling like this, but here goes! This is what this thread is for right? For moaning.
I think I only OVd yesterday (CD 12) & I'm already symptom checking. Its driving me insane! I've had constant pains (trapped wind) in stomach all day, although this could be a bought of IBS. It just seems worse than ever! Google doesn't help either. Its the worst thing ever for symptom checking as it always tells you what you want to hear.
Feeling rather selfish for feeling like this as its only our ttc month one.:j Comping Newbie :j
