long post alert!!!!!!
Hi there everyone, I've decided its time to join you all again. I've spent all morning catching up as the last time I was on here was back in November - it really has been a roller-coaster of a thread over the past couple of months. I just want to send big big hugs to all those that need them; LauraLou I'm so sorry to hear about what happened, me and my OH are thinking of you.
I also want to send a big congrats to portsmouthali (if she's still lurking) sending you huge sticky bean vibes xx
For those of you that don't know/remember me I started posting here in Sept after my second miscarriage. Me and my hubby are both 31 and we have been TTC since Dec 08 (which didn't seem that long until I've just written it down). Fell pg in Jan 09 and found out at 10 wks 6 dy that I had a missed m/c (lost at 7/8 wks). Fell pg again in June and had an early scan at 8wks 2 days all ok. Found out at 11 wks that I had had another missed m/c (lost at 9 wks). Went private for blood tests and everything came back negative apart from one of my tests..... are you all with me so far??:o
So this doc specialises in LIT (lymphocyte immunisation therapy) where you are immunised with your partners white blood cells. One of my blood tests was for this and it showed that I don't have any anti-paternal cytotoxic antibodies which may/may not be a factor in my m/c's. So LIT is how we go about rectifying this but obviously you have to pay (although its less than waht we imagined). I am a little sceptical but we are going to go for it because at the end of the day it may work and its worth a chance. So I am on the waiting list now but I won't get an appointment for treatment until May  and then you have 3 months to conceive.
Well I was very disappointed that I'm going to have to wait at least 5 months so me and hubby have had a long chat and we are going to give it another go in the meantime - I am incredibly scared about having another m/c but we want kids so badly. So AF due sometime next week and then back on the TTC. I'm hoping for lots of support and PMA from all of you lovely ladies
sorry for the long post

Hi Rik - Can you please tell me how much you paid for your blood tests I am looking into getting them done and wondered roughly what they cost. Though to be honest whatever they cost I am having them done ..Would be nice if you got your BPF before you tried your treatment, good luck.
Dont want to ask horrible things on a Saturday afternoon, but ladies I would really appreciate you tell me how long you bled for with your mc. I would be very grateful and hate to have to ask things that may be a horrible memory.
Thank you

Welcome back Rik
Please don't apologise for the long post, it's nice to hear about the different ways doctors can help with TTC and I've never heard of LIT before

Welcome back Rik; let's hope it's 3rd time lucky for you.
Penny; I'm prob not the best person to ask seeing as I'm still bleeding from my M/C. I bled for about a week prior to the actual M/C on 17 Dec. I had another scan last week and they could see that there was still a small amount of tissue left which is probably accounting for the ongoing bleeding. I honestly can't wait for it to stop and for AF to show so that we can get the TTC show back on the road!
Becs: list details for moi
elliebobs 37 TTC #1 since 06/09
Am horribly hungover today; I very rarely drink but am so fed up with my body and was having a low day so went out for a pre holiday drinkie with OH and friend and it turned into a bit of a session! I'm paying for it now though and copious diet cokes and Maccy D's is only just taking the edge of the crudness.
Feel very bleurgh...
Smartie; what % are you at now?????0 -
Hi everyone
Feeling better today, OH toke me out for tea last night which was nice, had a cosy evening in after. Had a little cry before i went to bed, OH was really nice giving me cuddles and trying to make me laugh!
rik so nice to see you again, you enjoying the snow? We didnt get much did we?
penny ive been looking into private help my sister found this website for me http://www.miscarriageclinic.co.uk/index.html. rik this that the one you went to?as i remember you saying that you went to london and that clinic is in London?
right so..
Lauralou (20) TTC#1 since 02/09
Could we maybe put in brackets our ttc journey? so for me it would be (3mcs) then newbies will see each off our journeys and will see someone that is in the same posistion as them?
Also, with the gradutes could we say how long its taken them to get pg and any 'problems' they had? Like they do on the TTC 12+ board?
Just a thought dont worry if its not a good idea!!0 -
Hi Lauralou, I was really disappointed with the lack of snow especially as my mum lives in Maidstone and they have had tonnes. Although I can't complain too much, I work at Soutnampton Uni and they've closed it on Monday due to the forecast for more snow and ice tomorrow and Monday and that they have run out of grit, 3 day weekend for me woohoo :j
I went to see Mr Armstrong at The Portland Hospital.
my details for the list

Hi Rik, I am still lurking. I'm too nosey not to
thanks for the congrats, I'm over the moon but obviously very nervous at the moment. I'm glad you posted, it's really interesting to hear about the different tests you can have.
*TMI alert* Penny, I'd been bleeding lightly for about 5 days when I had the scan that confirmed that the embryo had stopped growing at about 6 weeks, I was then advised to wait a week to see if the sac passed of it's own accord. That was on a Monday, the sac came out on the following Saturday and I had another scan on the Monday to confirm everything had come out. I bled for another week after that, and it wasn't heavy but the blood was very bright red. Anything else you'd like to know, just ask. It's not upsetting if I think it might help someone xxxxxx0
