  • been reading this thread for a while and we are sort of trying - if it happens it happens so to speak. We are aware may not happen due to some medical problems so would be delighted if it does

anyway a quick question done a pregnancy test yesterday and immediatly came up with a very dark pink control line and then after 10mins came up with a very faint pink line under the test section which would mean a positive but took ages to show so could be an evaporation line?

did another today and same happened although it came up in 4mins very very faint getting slightly darker but still not as dark as control line.

Last period was 27th Nov and cycle is anything from 33-40 days but is generally 35 days and their is the potential for being pregnant.

not missed a period yet so what are peoples thoughts - should I wait for missed period ie: upto another week then retest?

  • Just had a marathon catching-up session, after having been away the last few days... Sorry for not posting before Christmas - work was absolutely manic, and I didn't have a spare moment to myself.

I was so sorry to hear about various people's troubles. elliebobs - you've had such a rough time recently - my heart goes out to you. Penny - I've got everything crossed for your next scan. And big hugs to mariagti and everyone else who has had a miserable time recently.

Huge congratulations however to all the Christmas BFPs - such fantastic news - particularly to LauraLou and Ali and Courgette - I'm sitting here sending extra sticky vibes to you, and to everyone else of course.

Thanks for thinking of me too, Laura. All going okay here, touch wood. I've now reached 14 weeks, and all looked good at my 12 week scan, so hopefully out of danger mc-wise, which is a huge relief. Of course, I'm now worrying about whether all will be okay at the 20 week scan, but that's because I'm incapable of not having anything to worry about...! Felt sick as a pig for two months, but fortunately was only actually sick once, so mustn't complain. And my first non-queasy day was Christmas Day - excellent timing. Haven't moved onto the pg board yet, as it still seems to early and it definitely moves too fast. I thought Courgette's idea of a early pg thread was an excellent one, but realise there are rules and regs MSE-wise about which I have no idea.

Anyway, best wishes to everyone, and a Happy New Year.

Freebie, I'd say it is a positive, since the line became stronger, and appeared quicker. Congratulations! I would test again in few days to confirm though, I'm not a doctor:D

    Thanks for this

embarassingly I am a nurse and do pregnancy tests in a young peoples clinic and my advice would have been to retest in 2wks if period hadnt arrived but not good at following own advice.
