I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do or not...but I'm going to anyway and hope you dont all hate me. We got our bfp this month. I know I haven't been contributing but I have been lurking-I also didnt want to put it on the fb thread because I dont want to have a relplay of mothering sunday. I just thought I could let you know as you have all been so supportive of my journey and some of you have become ladies whom I consider friends. I am incredibly scared of this one not sticking-I have a stitch in my sides so I keep panicing its ectopic (which its clealy not if ts both sides right?)
I do intend to go onto the pg thread but I didnt feel right about doing it without saying bye-bye...and THANK YOU.0 -
Congrats Polkadot; I do remember you vaguely; I totally understand where you are coming from but just try to relax if possible. I've seen you have posted on the PG thread too; the ladies there are lovely and some have unfortuately suffered MC's previously so will certainly emphasise with you.
Tentative congrats to MV; test again tomorrow and let us know. x
For ladies who use the high street OV sticks; superdrug still has the BOGOF offer on a pack of their own OV sticks (5 in a pack). The offer ends on 29/12 so hurry on down.
I bought some yesterday; I now have 20 OV sticks and 2 FR preg test sticks. Just need to get the go ahead to get back in the TTC race; prob February time I think. Lets hope January flys by!
Snow here so am v excited; we're curled up on the sofa watching Matilda. I have been signed off work until 4 January so haven't got to worry about communting at least.

Thanks Ellie..OH is going to buy a couple more early res tests tomorrow, so I'll do one tomorrow and another on Tuesday.
Not going to get too excited, its VERY early days, and the line was so very faint.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Hi Ladies
Not been on for a while, you may remember my last post I was confused as I had just bought a clear blue ovulation monitor and it did not show that I had ovulated the month I used it. I know it was only a month I used it but I was gutted and worried it was down to our age, so put it the box and decided to forget about it for a while.
The this morning I reliased I had still not had my period could not understand why, did not remotely believe I could be pregnant.
I had a clear blue in done the test it instanlty showed PG, so went out and bought another clear blue this time the ones that shows the weeks and again instead PG and then 2-3 weeks.
Me and hubby are thrilled I am 36 it is my first baby, I cant really believe it.
I love reading this thread you are all a lovely bunch and much stronger than me, we have only been trying since June/July and I was already getting worried.
Anyway I am waffling now..will stay with this thread a while if you dont mind.

very early and not fmu but a line is a line, no hcg to detect unless ... When I had my first BFP last Sunday (seems soooo long ago) it took a really long time to come up (best part of 10 mins) and even then was very faint. Looks good, hope it turns into a full blown BFP!

Hi Penny - Congratulations!!! Top news! :T
I'm 36 too, and this is the first time I've tried to get preg, so one of my fears is can I even get preg, am I too old etc?
We used a ov kit this month and got a good strong line, so BD'd those days, and now waiting for AF which is due around Xmas Day.
Got a very faint line this evening, but I'm totally keeping it in my head that I'm not as its too early to get excited.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
