  • hi all im new here and dont really know all the terminology so sorry in advance!
I went to hospital on sunday 29th nov with a suspected mc, then had several blood tests over next 2 weeks as hormone was still rising so they were concerned of an ectopic, it was then comfirmed on thurs as a definite mc.
TMI bit i only bled for the first 2 days and had nothing since. until friday when i was bleeding again but have now got the feeling this is AF as it has that achey feel and is not the pain that i had for thosde 2 days, is it poss to have af that soon after mc and if it is AF does that mean we can ttc again after it goes, sorry am not sure of much at the moment and still trying to get my head around mc. i felt fine and was coping but all the waiting and tests have seemed to make me feel worse and now im really sad couldnt even walk past baby clothes in tescos! sosrry again x

    Good morning everyone!

CD8 here. My cycle is long and irregular, so my ov is sometime around 21st Dec. Should I tell OH when my ov is or shall I just don't mention it?
It is our first cycle TTC so I don't want to make it un-romantic:o (but definitely want to BD around ov dates:cool:)

I wouldn't tell him, or at least don't make a big thing of it! We're also on our first month and I thought that we should bd last night as we hadn't since thurs but DH was tired and didn't want to (first time ever!! I must be wearing him out!) and he said 'i don't want to feel pressured into it all the time'....so, i'd advise keeping it low key!

I fear that although we've bd'd loads we haven't since Thursday and I think I ov'd yesterday so may've missed the boat this month, who knows as my temp is all over the place. I've also read a lot that the main thing is just to bd lots between periods!

Hi billy, so sorry to hear your sad news. I've recently MC as have a few on here so we feel your pain too. the sadness will pass eventually but it is totally normal.

Can I ask, how far gone were you? everyone's different but have the hospital offered you an operation (ERPC) or tablets or did the MC pass naturally?

We can help you with our own experience if you can say. I don't think AF arrives that soon - for me I MC naturally (TMI: there was a lot of bleeding and large clots) at 8 weeks on 14 November - I bled for just over a week -and I am still waiting for first AF although I think she's due next weekend as I had signs of Ovulation last weekend so I think I am in the two week wait now.

As for trying again, no one gave me any advice this time (it was my second MC) but the first time they said wait for first AF as it helps with dating when you get pregnant. If you feel emotionally OK you can try when you are ready (we just got back into it this time as we waited 3 months last time and it still resulted in MC so I just thought what's the point). I've been promised some tests if it happens again but i'm hoping it won't come to that.

So, I think you just need to look out for signs of ovulation once the bleeding stops. You might feel a bit of pain or the egg white cervical mucus or if you're brave feeling the postion of your cervix - I'm no expert on this one!

SOrry for the long post. I just wanted to tell you what happened to me and offer you some support. I have made lots of effort to not use abbreviations but you'll get used to it.

Take care and others may help with your query too.

    Katy x

PS. SS is symptom stressing - eg. ooh my boobs are sore, I wonder if I'm PG???!!! Silly but we all do it when AF is due.

Sorry to hear about your mc. I had a missed mc where the baby died at 10 weeks (found out at 11 weeks), but nothing happened, so I had ERPC operation.

I had ewcm at 10 weeks which I thought strange (morning sickness ceased at the same time), had ERPC at 11 weeks, and a week after that, light AF. After that my cycle is back to normal.

So AF can come back pretty quickly:o
Some people TTC straight away without waiting for a period, and have perfect pregnancies, so I think it is OK to try again if you are emotionally ready:)
