Hi all,
How early did anyone start buying stuff for their baby? I am really unsure, I didn't want to start until May, but I am finding Boots, and Tescos both have offers on baby stuff at the moment, do they hold these events very often?
Thanks!0 -

Try singing whilst having a contraction you will think now that you may look like a complete div doing that but it does work suprisingly well. Midwife looked at me gone out as i kept singing the rainbow theme tune it was the only thing i could remember the words to other than the i like big butts song and i didnt that would be appropriate lol ;-)
Yeah thats true, I was saying to my friend that I couldnt have my mam in the delivery suite with me as I would probs crumble into a little girl whereas with OH there I might try and be hard and it might make me last longer without drugs lol
And my friend said she was like that when she had her baby 2 years ago, she was detirmined to prove to OH how hard she was lol
We are silly us woman really arent we.
Yup I am thinking Curry fried rice with chips and have to have prawn crckers (I may get chicken fried rice though as well hmms depends how much I can eat)
I am pleased your sis is sorted out EA
And its so easy to spend money in poundland isnt it lol
I cant believe how soon it is till we are due EA its mad isnt it!

Kitkat i think we all just started buying when we felt it was right. Me im very impulsive and started buying straight away some like to wait until the 12wk marker others a lot longer. One thing to take into consideration is the space you have dont forget what ever you buy you have store until baby comes along. the baby events are a regular thing as are the special offers so i wouldnt worry about missing out to much :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Thanks for that kindofagilr! I am now 15 weeks so I am unsure, I have just seen things like half price steriliser, bottles, and some other bits and I know I will need them. I have been warned by my mother, I am NOT allowed to buy a pram until bubs has arrived! Oh these old wives tales!! Mind you, I am following that one! I have been told not to buy too much now, but I hate to miss a bargain, I would be gutted if I had to fork out full price in a few months time when I could get things now half price. Oh sorry to go on, OH is working late and I am bored and lonely!!0

I think I give up trying to sleep at night, it's just so uncomfy and I don't even have much of a bump yet! Tried sleeping with a pillow between my legs but I turn over too much so it just gets in the way. I just crave sleeping on my back! arrghhhh.
Just watching that My fat gypsy wedding on 40d and can't believe the dresses, how insane.
Easy labour vibes to you KT and I hope things get moving for you too Nikkit.
My other half bought me a lovely heart shaped pillow last valentines and it was a godsend in the earlier weeks it was just the right size to put between my knees and i was still able to turn over. He got it from tesco they may have some left. Later on i had my body pillow adn just couldnt sleep without it :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Thanks Xmaslolly! I am also too very impulsive, I had been looking at baby stuff since I was confirmed at 5 weeks, but I havent bought a thing! Space is a good issue, as our house isn't massive so buying big items is a no no, I might see what OH thinks, I have also got a £10 voucher for Tescos that needs to be used online before 28th Feb and theres nothing else I think I want!0

We bought a steriliser and some bottles when I was about 14 weeks and apart from that my mum bought us a pram a couple of weeks ago. We won't be buying anything else now till I'm 30+ weeks but that is because we have a kitchen to pay for first, otherwise I would be buying bits and pieces all the time now.0

I think the problem is I just don't like sleeping on my side at all. If I do fall asleep on my side I always wake up on my back but then feel guilty and turn back on my side. It's just so uncomfortable it's unreal!0 -
