Hi guys - congrats to newbies and those reaching full term! Scary how quick it goes...
I'm 19 weeks today and having real trouble at night for the last few days. My bump is sore as soon as I lie down on both sides - I last about half an hour on each side and then have to roll over, but its like softly-moan-out-load sore to move. Feels almost like the bump is bruised all over inside. Its mostly low down - i.e. bottom half of bump. It means my sleep is really bad.
has anyone else had this - are bump pains at night just normal? thanks
I'm only 17+4 but this past week I've had tons of trouble with sleeping at night and being uncomfortable. My bump has also felt bruised in places, and very tight at times so think I must be having a bit of a growth spurt. That's what I'm putting the soreness down to. Problem for me also is the fact I'm a back-sleeper and am struggling to try and stay on my side, it's really disturbing my sleep.0 -
Soooo these bump band thingies... am I correct in thinking you can have the button undone on jeans for example and the band goes OVER the top to cover up the zip and button area?? I can't remember them being around when I was pg with DS.
That's right, they weren't around first time round for me either. They're 3 for £10 in New Look. V compfy and cover up undone jeans and safety pinsUpdating soon...0 -
sidekick - got my bump bans from ebay too, one white one black from here tho a lil more expensive than the ones kindof posted. Also New Look do them think there 3 for £10.
Xmas - yeay for passing 12 weeks, my bags have been packed 2 weeks now but have had 2 hospital visits (1 at 29 weeks and 1 at 33) so gotten pretty good at chucking overnight stuff in a bag.
kym - my bump gets uncomfy and sore at night too but no underlying issues here, I always assumed its cos I'm used to sleeping on my front, my hips really hurt too but have spd so could be down to that.
kavinam - big congrats and well doneWelcome to the world Erin x Love the pics with the pink baby grow and dress
Gym - Italy and the lakes sound fab, would love that but dont think OH would. Saying that he doesnt have a passport atm so would be out for us anyhoo. picked up a brochure for Haven today so gonna have a flick thru thatGirly shopping was fab tho ended up in a lot of pain
but kinda my own fault as decided not to take the crutches! Oh and the clock is real funky
Kindof - I wouldnt worry am not doing anything to evict baby atm, I dont think RLT counts either as its not really meant to induce labour. Sorry your feeling rough, I was mega hot this morning but freezing now!
Well shopping in town wasnt so bad, did spend a lil more money than expected but only £15 and £4 was lunchPicked up a pair of button front pjs in primark reduced to £3 and a pj top with a poppered opening reduced to £1. Aswell as some knickers in the sale at £1 for 5, figured they'd do for after and if they get ruined no big to bin them. Got OH some pepsi for his bag and some almond oil and a pack of dried apricots form H&B making the most of their bogohp. Like I said decided not to take the crutches, big mistake as was really painful after a few hours and had to walk real slow and am now suffering
Will not make that mistake again!

Hello
Congrats xmas on 12 weeks! And congrats courgette for being 2 weeks ahead!

Thanks for the labour vibesI swear if i get any bigger i will burst!
Im going into town Wednesday to buy some more RLT and some pinapples, ooh and my gym ball to
Went up mums today, she has given me a dress that i wore when i was a baby so its 21 years oldIts so nice, and almost all the baby girls in our family (born after me) have worn it for photo's
Nikkit and Twinkles - Have some uber labour vibes!! I'll settle with some small ones until you both have given birth
eta: I just checked my emails and i had an email from someone about the comp i entered for tix to the baby show. I got all excited and opened it and it was to tell me i lost the comp! lol. Nice of them but they got my hopes up for nothing!0 -
Oh no Kindof, hope you're feeling better soon
Has the HV been? I've been ringing for a few days to try and rearrange my appointment to no avail still, eurgh. Glad you've going out before next Valentines, I was starting to feel like a horrid mummy!!
I'm done fiddling with the photos and have sent off my order for them so babys room will be totally done once they're back, framed and up, wahoo! Well, aside from bedding...must think on that one. Mothercare had some gorgeous bedding in by Myleene Klass but it's so overpriced!
Thanks, I had another major hot flush but its gone again now, yes she has just been, she was uber late though lol
LOL no your not a bad mummy lol

anyone tried these, I've found them much better than safety pins
you could even make them yourself with string elastic & a button

good for when you back size is gong up but you cup size is staying the same - make existing bras last longer
Courgette your now expecting the same day as me - race ya:rotfl:
Sorry for the long links it never seems to work when I shorten itBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
Oh i forgot to say, will prob be on most of the night. OH is working until 11pm *sob*
Work have put him on lates until my due date  And he's not allowed to have his phone on either, so if i go into labour and he's at work i cant call him. The work phone is only an answerphone they check once in the morning.
So if i go into labour and cant reach him i will call my dad and get him to drive me into work (as i have an access pass) and i will leak waters on their floor until they release him :rotfl:0 -
Glad you had a lovely day Som
Sorry about the pain though, I can only imagine how horrid it is - I'm getting seriously uncomfortable now as his head's so low and can barely walk without gritting my teeth so must be a million times worse for you
Sounds like you got some bargains too, might try & pop into Primark before dinner tonight
EA that's crazy, is there not like a managers phone or something you can call to get hold of him?! You'd think they'd make exceptions in circumstances like these?!
Yay for the scan & being 2 weeks ahead Courgette, must be ace skipping a fortnight
Did the HV do anything exciting Kindof?Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
I have one managers number but he is hardly there, or always in "meetings" lol.
The reason he's not allowed his phone on is... (and this is a bit OTT)
Incase he connects his phone to the work pc, download all the SKY customers details onto his phone, takes his phone home and uses all the customers details for fraud. Its the same reason we cant take PSP's, DS's or books in lol.
I was like "surely your IT guys would notice something being plugged into the PC's and data being downloaded?" lol.
And as if he'd be able to do all of that without someone saying "Why is your phone plugged into the pc?" (The PC that doesn't have USB slots bythe way...) :rotfl:0
