SJ - I know you're off for a few days. Thanks for the post about feeding, but I fear that would never work for us! When Finn's rooting around like that, there's generally very little we can do to placate him other than feeding! I think you just got very lucky with a sweet, very mild-mannered Alfie!
(no, I'm not jealous at all
)
(Beenie, let's gang up and steal her baby, no?)
No worries. MIL |& partner have gone now to their hotel so thought i'd pop in while doing 11pm feed.
I feel very lucky that we've managed to settle into a routine so quuickly and easily. He is generally very mild mannered and co-operative!
How long will Finn go between feeds then?0 -
redmel - thats so awful and I hope like you they can get the girl factor out of their systems before she arrives, how unfair on your boys. Still not sure about the crutches but the tubi grip is def helping.
Will steer clear of the TTC thread, I have no issues with folks who are lucky and fall quickly its just the way it goes! Its not like it makes them any less worthy or worse/better parents.
Mylittlesister - have bought arnica pills have heard great things about them and I think tea tree is fab stuff too so may use this also, no nothing of clary sage oil tho. Best bet is to ask your MW.
CAFC - yeay for aptimil bear, I love mine so cute
Kindof - thanks for the hugs, its a real shame but we are grateful to at least have 1 nowSux about the milkshake
esio - sorry to hear about the pain, if it continues get it checked out x
Agutka - how annoying about the one topic of care atm, hope it doesnt carry on!
delain - will keep that in mind if I get asked if they can have students, will ask how many!
Smartie - we too have a tiny house but would have found a way to work it, am sure you'll be happy what ever the scan reveals, how exciting x
Sorry if I missed anyone, its late and am tired, seriously need to think about napping thru the day, but its just not natural for me!Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Morning,
Welcome to all the newbies (there's loads!)
Som your little girls name is beautiful, I really really love itWe thought we were totally firm on our full name but now wavering a bit, not good! Pants about the crutches, they sound like a nightmare, must make everything so much more tiring as well
MLSL - I read something about clary sage a couple of weeks ago, apparently it helps to intensify contractions, so once you start it'll make labour quicker? It's v cheap on eBay btw, so I'd go there first if you were gonna buy - really expensive in h&b!
Kindof, sorry OH went to his friends again, the man needs a bl&7dy good shake!
Mel your poor boys, hopefully it's just their excitement and once she's here she'll just be one of your kids iykwim, rather than 'the girl'?
Well done to Xmas's LO sleeping for so long
Smartie how exciting if it is twins! OH is a twin & would have loved twins, think he harbours secret hopes for any possible subsequent babies!
I'm up & about to go shopping, need to buy new bras, how frustrating to start growing so rapidly now with a few weeks to go. Totally begrudge buying bra's I hope to never fit in again post pregnancy!! Off to get some old pictures copied too of me & OH and families when we were little to put up in babies room& maybe for a sneaky sushi/wagamamas lunch, yum!
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Well my excitement about bubs sleeping was short lived it appears i have a poorly boy on my hands he has a very slight temperature and is deffinately not himself he was a little bit sick after his bottle too. I hope he hasnt got his brothers bug he has been up all night with the runs. :-(:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Is there any benefits anyone can think of that we can claim in pregnancy/after birth ??
Things I can think of are
Surestart grant - not sure of the minimum income on this one
Increased tax credits
Increased child benefits
Free dental
£190 healthy eating grant
Free prescriptions
Free school dinners - not sure what the criteria is
Housing benefit - not sure about this one either
Home improvement grants - not sure
Child trust fund
can anyone add to this
Just trying to work out my finances and though it might help othersBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
