Hi all
Can I join you? I did pop on the other day and am usually on the less than 12 weeks thread (and I'll stay on there still) but that moves quite slowly at the moment so I thought I'd join you on here too. I'm 7+0 today so still quite early days!
I haven't read up on the TTC thread, maybe I won't now either, what a shame they're fighting. Although it's of course heartbreakingly difficult for those who have been ttc for ages when someone new gets a bfp (I was almost too scared to report mine on there as it was only 2nd cycle) its not that there are only so many bfps to go round and that if the new ladies get them the older ones don't.
Cravings - I've not really got any apart from Alpen, which is all I want to eat! On my second box in a week! I've got plenty of aversions though, stuff I just can't even think about!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
alpen is a good one - high in fibre it'll keep constipation at bay
hope your feeling well
no cravings to report still being sick so keeping anything down is a bonus, i find most foods I would normally love don't do it for me any more but I'm sue it will passBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
The smells get me i cant go through the bread isle at the supermarket at the moment it makes me heave yet i can eat bread till the cows come home and im drinking alot of milk and juice and it has to be ice cold other than that no real cravings :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

the worst smell for me is people on the train in the morning especially - smokers, garlic, sweat, booze - I almost vomited yesterday on the train!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

frying fat is the worst smell for me, can't stand even driving past a chippy or frying chicken myself at home!
congrats newbies and those who've got to 12 weeks/had scans! yay :j
kindof your post about McDonald's milkshake made me laugh, it's so like that when you have a craving. Mine have been Laughing Cow triangles, eggs and now i can't get enough of pineapple (although not eating 8 in one go so nothing to worry about) and fruit, even though i'm not much of a fruit fan normally. Also eaten LOADS of toast and cheese, bit obsessed.
Can I ask a question, have any of you actually had that "blooming" feeling everyone goes on about? I'm not as sick anymore but constantly feel like i'm ill and just a bit rough - i don't believe i'm ever going to feel great like they say! is this just a myth to try and get us to populate?!
i have to say I've been pretty relaxed about what to/not to eat during pregnancy. As i say i craved eggs, so ate quite a few runny fried eggs on toast, had some pat! at Christmas, have had the odd v small glass of wine, etc. I have read up quite a lot about it to make an informed decision but i think there's quite a lot of scaremongering that goes on about it... and don't get me started on people telling/asking you what you are "allowed"!
well i am now off work for a week, yay! i'm still in my PJs, started as i mean to go on0 -
I had a very tiny bit of beer last night, tasted soooo gooood! I've been eating runny eggs too. When I had DS 12 years ago (:eek::eek:) there was no advice about eggs and to my mind moderation seems to be key.
Mt vomit-inducing smell is deodorant, especially in the massive quantities my year 9s smother themselves in! I wonder what would happen if the next time one of them sprayed, rather than me telling them off I just threw up into the bin as I've so nearly done anyway :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Updating soon...0 -
ahhh deodorant is awful! i feel for you, teenagers go crazy with it. but yesterday DH doused himself in a load + aftershave and then tried to give me a massive hug, i had to hold my nose and run down the stairs :O0

Morning all
DP - I'm patiently awaiting the "blooming" feeling. I think I might be starting to get there as Im having days of more energy, and making more of a effort with getting dressed, sorting out my hair, and putting some tinted moisturiser onbut I still have moments where I feel really sicky and just generally pants!
I'm 23 weeks today but my mothercare sign up appears to be a week out, as I just got sent my 24 weeker, and it was scary! Just about having a prem baby, all the risks etc. I know its good to know about these things just in case, but that was literally all there was, oh apart from telling me they do a premmie range with velcro.... shameless plug
My mum is coming up to visit for the weekend, so she's gonna see how huge ive got. we havent seen them in like 6 weeks or something, but im getting excited now as DH has given me permission/told me to get started on packing up some boxes, of things like our dvd's. That always makes me feel like im closer to movingWealth is not measured by currency0 -

Morning ladies - welcome to everyone who's just joined us
DP - I'm 28 + 6 and no blooming for me! I just feel tired and run down most of the time, altho if I had a less strenuous and stressful job (or was less bothered about doing my job to my own high standards!) then I would probably feel a million times better!
Felt really poorly after I got back from hospital yesterday so phoned in sick for today. Think a lot of it is just stress creeping up on me again, had way too much going on at home and work.
We've just had the boiler replaced (still being done) and were going to get bathroom done (huge job as it needs gutting and replacing) before baby comes, as well as trying to finish nursery and doing some other bits round the house. I've convinced DH that we should leave bathroom until baby is here and a couple of months old as i think it's just too much. Feel a bit better now that I'm not worrying about that.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0
