My HV didn't come to see me until my midwife signed me off after my first child but it may be different in your area.

Kindof - I had a letter from the HV a couple of days ago saying she's coming over, so presuming it's standard practice? Apparently they give out info on local activities & check out your house etc. Rubbish about your bro's birthday :(

SJ you sound so happy :D Hoping that when I get to meet Alfie, Guy might be tempted out by the idea of a playmate:rotfl:

    BSM those pics are lovely!

Nikkit all the labour vibes I can muster for you hun, you must be fed up, x

    Welcome to the newbies :j

Would be lovely if baby arrived on your birthday Som :D Can I ask the name you picked or are you keeping it secret? Hope your friend & baby Ethan are doing well?

OHs dad is really hoping baby will arrive on March 5th as it's his birthday, but I've got a really strong feeling he'll arrive on the 9th, dunno why though :o My birthday's near the end of March & I really have no wish for him to share my birthday!!!

Lovely pic of baby Dave nenero :rotfl:

:j yay for OH getting to feel bump move Convent, it's such a lovely moment isn't it?

Hope the hospital's ok Gill, x

Guinea, I can't say I feel sad at letting go of my old life but can sympathise with your feelings, it is a massive change.

I'm officially bored stiff :o Been up and to the post office to post eBay bits, sorted out the kitchen and hoovered the house, brushed the cats (Job & a half as one of them is the hairiest thing ever!), sorted out a load of books we've been given for baby, and now officially have nothing to do. Can't believe I've got so many weeks left with nothing to do :o
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

Back from hospital - anti D was fine (and I had a trainee doing her first one as well!!) but I hope it's not like the swine flu jab where I end up with an achey arm all weekend!

Got to hear baby's heartbeat again but still haven't been measured - hopefully they'll do that when I go back in a fortnight.

Remembered my HIPG form which I'm going to get filled in straight away as money would be very useful atm but she couldn't tell me anything about the antenatal classes. She's given me a number to ring on Monday morning tho.

Guinea - I know exactly where you're coming from. I love my job and have always been very driven but being pregnant has had a huge impact in what I can/can't do. I have no hobbies as such and I feel as though it's the one thing in life I'm really good at. Had some really difficult times coming to terms with it and I do worry about finishing. I'm less worried about when the baby is here though as I feel very confident that I will be a good Mum and can focus my energies on that :)

    Hellooo :D

    I am knackered!

Thanks for the info about pizza hut 50% finishing today, we were going to use it sunday but have been invited for a roast, so i said we can have pizza tonight. Lucky eh? :D

Had MW today, all is good with baby. Sugars are back to normal and im still measuring 38cm, which is good seeing as im 36+5 :D
HB is fine, my BP is good but...

My awkward little madam has decided to move from her perfect position for labour, and she is now back to back! MW asked if i have been having back pain and i was like "yeah why?" and thats why! lol.

So i have to try and get her to move before my next appointment in 2 weeks. But she's 4/5 engaged! :D
MW reckons she'll be alot further engaged by my next appointment :)

Kindof - Avatar is amazing! You should totally see it in 3d :D

Smartie - How cool would it be if you have twins?! :D

IL's have bought us a dummy and bottle set, but it has tattoo designs on it, its sooo very cool! :D

And my Nan is forcing me to let her buy the babys bridesmaid dress :)
She got baby a blanket and is totally fine with me not seeing her until baby is born now, she actually moves faster than me now days! lol

eta: I've not heard from a HV, im sure i heard that she comes out after MW discharges me from her care though

That's what everyone's thinking as I've had a definite bump for a while now!!

And I have twins in the family!

It probably isn't... I just have a baby that likes to show off ;)

  • I am joining you all if thats ok - been for my scan today so now feel its official - I am Pregnant with baby number 3.
I am 9 weeks exactly today (mw had estimated 11 weeks so been put back 2 weeks) - scan was great, could see heartbeat and a little wriggly baby.

Just means I need to wait another 3 weeks now until I reach 12 weeks .
