Kindof - I would phone MW or labour ward if your waters go as that was what we were advised :D Oh and wear what you feel comfy in for birth. Love the meal plan. I buy 7 days worth of food but dont plan what nights we are eating stuff usually go by what has shortest exp date or what we fancy lol.

Muso - sounds like a tiring day! No advice on amounts of clothing we ended up with more than planned cos got given so much, suppose it comes down to how often you'll do washing and/or baby messes thier clothes. Oh and if you prefer outfits or will keep bubba mainly in sleepsuits/vests. Id say at least 8 changes if I were starting from scratch. Is wagmamas noodles? if so would love to try some time if I can get someone other than OH to go with me.

EA - thats some naughty substitutes, I ticked the box saying I didnt want any so will see what happens when I get my first online order on Tuesday.

Maureen - maybe your pct changed their citeria since your last bubs or maybe its cos your older, I know our at risk is 35yrs + so you get extra scans etc.

Jolene - hope the scan goes ok and bubs is all fine, could be an error by midwife or just an anomly! AT 34 weeks was measuring 36 and at 36 weeks still measuring 36!!! I think its cos different MWs and docs have there own way of measuring, there is after all some guestimation involved when it comes to the location of the top and bottom of your uterus!

Convent girl - dont get to many bottles to start a) because you need to get into a routine and b) bubs may get on with a certain brand of bottle and you may have to change! I have atm 4 avent bottles that came free with my breast bump and 2 TT that came with my steriliser, also got 3 cute Mam ones for next to nothing in the sale. I wont need that many but dont want to get rid incase baby is fussy.

fernliee - will try remember that tip for next annoying call lol.

Went to In laws and took them some cookies so just cooked off the last of the dough mix, OH said can I make some for him for when Im in labour at hospital lol.

    OK cool thanks :)

Yeah I might switch the meals up a bit, obv tomorrow we will have the chicken pasta cos we have leftover chicken from today

Wagamamas isnt just noodles, there are rice dishes as well, scrummy

Yeah me too I was 36 weeks when I was 34, then last week when I was 35 I was 36 lol so lets see what I am this week when I am actually 36 lol

Are you going to make OH cookies lol

Weve got a bath thermometer its a rubber duck and you float it in the bath for 30 secs and it fives you the temp

  • SS - hope the cold clears up quickly, there's nothing like a cold to get you down. There seems to be so many bugs around at the moment - everytime I go to work I feel a bit like I'm playing Russian Roulette lol!

  • Kindof - I was going to tell the midwife, but the dizzyness seemed to go with the dodgy tummy, so I don't think I'm going to bother unless it happens again.

  • Thanks for that Rach! - Going by that I've prob got enough 0-3 stuff apart from vests. So just need to get more newborn and vests. The only vests I found came in pack of 2 for £5 for plain white vests. Seems a bit pricey to me!.

MIL got us a thermometer that can be used as a room thermometer but also floats in bath water.http://www.boots.com/en/Philips-AVENT-Bath-Room-Thermometer_13631/

A bit pricey but she works for boots so gets a discount on it! Already come in handy as we've discovered that we keep our house way too warm.

25 week appointment tomorrow - any clues on what will happen at this one? At 16 week one I turned up, gave her my wee sample, had blood pressure taken and left! Hoping it will be a bit more substantial this time.
  • Lol...thanks Redstar :)

Just made my OH and son's sarnies for tomorrow too,hehe...owww I think I'm gonna get my jim jams on too :D

From what I an see from my notes, the 25 week appointment for me was probably the quickest- normal checks and then out :o

28 weeks is when I had routine bloods taken- that was a much longer appointment.

Muso i would ahve thought they would offer to listen to the babys heart beat for you and have a feel around your tummy. I cant remember if they start taking measurments at that point or later on :-)

Muso - think your 25 week appt will be pretty similar hun, unless something has come up in one of your routine tests or you have something you want to discuss most of the appointments are the same am afraid.

Red - still worth mentioning to your MW, at least I would.

Kindof - might make the cookies if I have the stuff in and maybe it'll take my mind off early labour but not making no promises.

fernlie - I got room thermometers free but no bath ones lol.

CAFC - woohoo for ikea trip, theres a lovely girly canopy in ikea that we wanted but not sure how we'd attach to ceiling, said we would get one when we move if there still available.

Xmas - thinking of getting this thermometer as its not too much imo.

Thanks for all the other replies ref thermometer, I would just do the elbow test but worry as I like my water really hot I might not be a great judge and I know OH is worried too, so for us worth it for peace of mind.
