I cant find the list at the moment. During OH's nesting he moved it lol.
But the two i have are increased vaginal discharge (sorry tmi) and diorrea (sp?)
I think others were more frequent BH's, having a show, nausea and vomitting and i forgot the rest lol.0 -

Hiya, I would say you prob wouldn't need too many bottles if you are only planning occasional feeds, you can always buy more if you find you are expressing more frequently. I planned on expressing and found it such a faff that I never really bothered, would just give her the breast instead.
You can get a tommee tippee steriliser set that comes with 4 bottles I think (this is what a friend has) and that would prob be plenty. Means you can have one dirty, one clean, one in use and a spare.
Someone who knows more about bottles may be along soon with a bit more info though!0 -
Hey conventgirl, this is exactly what im doing to.
I have the TT closer to nature bottles and i think i have about 7 normal sized ones and 1 small one that came with the breast pump or the steriliser.
You wont need that many, in my excitement of finding them reduced in tesco i bought loads lol.
I think maybe 2/3 bottles should be fine

With the automated phone thingy on a lot of them if you hold down 0 it put's you through to an operator. Not all of them but def works for some! My home phone is broken though and for some reason although numbers work fine to dial, the automated message thingy's can't tell what numbers I'm pressing. No matter what I press it just doesn't register- strange! New phone time I think!0

Hello All!
I am now just over 30 weeks! Had appointment with midwife on wednesday who measured me at 35! So off to see consultant on monday to have a scan to see if I have a massive baby!
Been doing some housework and clearing stuff away this weekend, must say housework is much more fun while pregnant, I get to sit down and order hubby about! hehehehehe!

Am I allowed to stuff my face with double chocolate gateaux just because I am doing the glucose tolerance test from Sunday night? I'm feeling really greedy, just in case they find something wrong and I can't have chocolate anymore :rotfl::eek:
Is the glucose drink really disgusting? Any tips on drinking it?
Why do 'heavier' (how pc! I would say lardy, but I am nicely pregnant atm thank you very much) mothers need a scan at 32 weeks?
Agutka - i did the same thing before my GTT!! Had loads of junk a couple of days before in case they said 'no more'!!
I was dreading the glucose drink too, but it just tasted a bit like liquid syrup and not as sweet as i was expecting.
I'm kinda curious about the scan thing too - my BMI was around 40ish when i booked in and mw said you'll have gtt and extra scans at 32+36 weeks cos of the weight. I find this odd as i'm exactly the same size/weight/bmi as i was 4years ago with dd and had none of this! Was wondering if age was a factor too or if they've just changed guidelines again! Apparently thats the case with weighing us when we're pregnant, they will generally now only weigh us at booking appointment and dont bother the rest of the time. I stand on the scales at all my appointments anyway just for my own interest - i lost 5kg between 12 and 22 weeks! Now, at 32 weeks, i've only put the 5kg back on - hoping i wont gain too much more!
CAFC - congrats on the house! that's excellent!
Sarah Joanne - exciting stuff! My waters had be broken manually with my first two so not had that 'not knowing', hoping this time they'll go themselves!
Nikki and SJ - easy labour vibes to you both!! good luck!conventgirl wrote: »....i am planning on breast feeding but want to express so OH can feed bump too. I was wondering how many bottles i should get and what sort you would recommend?
I breastfed both of my previous babies and cant wait to do it again! I got the avent isis pump last time for DD and found that i could express from one side while feeding on the other and then just swapping sides each time - always offering the second side too at each feed. Found this really helped keep up the supply and meant that i had loads frozen for the occasional evening out/ hour to myself/ long lie in bed! lol
I used the breast milk freezer bags - boots own last time and i've got some freebies this time round too. The pump came with two bottles and I bought a further two. I've bought a new pump as the silicone parts were disintigrating! so i've got two bottles from that and a friend bought me a couple of bottles too, also, in my excitement at seeing a bargain, i bought 2 TT bottles so 6 altogether this time.
I did go back to work when dd was 6months tho so needed the extra bottles when she inevitably went to formula, however, not planning on working for the next couple of years while DH at uni so hoping just to BF as long as poss and not need to do formula at all.
hope my blabbering on for ages helps someone! lol
sorry for the long post!
i can smell the chicken casserole so off to prepare some brocolli and brussels sprouts... really getting into this iron thing now - even had fortified rice crispies for breakfast (puke!).,

Back from shopping absolutely exhausted as they've changed the location of Primark so ended up going round and round in circles! Found it eventually and it was enormous! Bought 2 x 5 packs of newborn shortsleeve bodysuits, 2 x 5 packs of 0-3 shortsleeve bodysuits (all plain white cheapies). Then pack of seven patterned bodysuits in 0-3, pack of socks and some curtains for our bedroom. I'm finding it difficult to get newborn size clothes anywhere- Primark only had plain ones that I bought and nothing else. Also, I can't find any vests anywhere. Any suggestions?
Does anybody have a suggested list of basic clothing thats needed that they can share? I'm struggling to work out how much of each thing we'll need. We're going to be using reusable nappies so will be doing washing at least every other day.
Ended up going for Wagamamas in the end which was as usual very yummy. It's nearly as quick as getting McD's or KFC but I always feel much more healthy afterwards. Would defo recommend it to anybody thats not been before.
Easy labour vibes to Nikkit and SJ!!0 -
