EA - OH chose the "smile if you not wearing undies" T shirt, sure he'll cause plenty of trouble with that LOL. Actually ordered him the size bigger than what he normally gets as reading the info on the website is as their Ts are 100% cotton then they can shrink! Will review it fast so ncan get back on the list asap and hopefully get something for Bubs next. At least its better than T bags I remember someone saying they got LOL. Shame there werent any Daddy type slogan T's :(

CAFC - Agree with Agutka you do need the cert normally as not everyone who is PG is entitled to freebies, but saying that the last time I picked up a prescription they didnt ask for it!

Kindof - sure those last 3 days will pass fast, mine did. Thanks in advance for the pics :) Am going out with MIL later so will maybe have a look for something bigger and cheapie in Wilkos. Suprised you didnt get offered a T too, Im sure you registered at the same time as me.

Guinea - good on you for still being at work, persoanlly I couldnt do it as working in a shop and standing 8+ hours a day was getting too much, but if your happy and well then surely thats all that matters.

SS - yeay for Guinea Pigs, I've never owned them before but there so cute Id love some or maybe one and a rabbit (just need a garden!), great names btw :)

Right off to get organised and put turkey stew in the slow cooker.

  • Hey you lot! Haven't been around for ages as I've only mangage work, looking after children and sleep. Hyperemesis is under control with meds now, so I haven't been sick for about 3 weeks or so which is amazing! :T

I feel giganticus though!! As i work in Mat unit people keep asking if I'm about to drop and I'm only 24 weeks!!! I have to laugh or I'll get very very cross!!!!

Well we're having to be very thrifty with our new arrival. With a nearly 11 year gap we're having to start fresh with everything. So far we have:-

~ Jane Slalom Pro Plus travel system via ebay £111 looks brand new
(incl carrycot/pram/car seat and rain covers etc)
~ Pine Cot ebay £26.50 (will buy new matress)
~ Pine Cot (for mums as she'll be looking after baba once a week) 'FREE'cycle (will buy new matress)
    ~ Play Pen 'FREE'cycle
    ~ Moses Basket 'FREE'cycle
~ La Radoute Changing table with drawers and cupboard under 'FREE'cycle
~ Chicco Happy Snack highchair 'FREE'cycle
~ HUGE bag of babygrows, vets etc Newborn - 3 months Free from a friend

Still got the builders in so can't even think about starting the nursery and I'm trying not to get in a panic, but I just feel I want to be organised before I stop work so there is no stress involved - am I mad?!!!

Anyway love to all. Got holiday soon so can pop in more often.

my oh my quiet over here today!

    So far so good ladies.
Last night was horrid again with pain, woke up at 4:40 and was still in the land of the living at 8am! But then I fell asleep till about half ten.
Face is a bit sore but no pain so far this morning. I spent most of my awakeness massaging my face, which offered some slight relief, that or it just gave me something to do to take my mind off it.

Got bedroom window wide open this morning for some fresh air, and DH is booking some house viewings. We also found another house (to buy so not holding out much hope) for under £30k....... so we're gonna be nosey and have a look.

Little L is being very active the past two days and kicks are getting stronger. It still weirds me out slightly especially if i have my hand on his kicks for too long, feelig it from both sides is weird.....LOL

Off for some brekkie soon and hoping the evil toothache stays away now xx

    Morning ladies

Glad to hear your pain has subsided cafc tooth ache can be horrible at the best of times.

Just a quick question i am going to start getting my little bits for my hospital bag although i am planning a home birth as i learnt with the last one it is always best to have one prepared just incase and i wont notice a couple of pound here and there with my usual shopping. Anyways i wondered about what pads you used after the birth. I had the mothercare ones last time and hates them so ended up getting the always super nighttime ones. i dont like pads at all and never use them apart from after giving birth. Any recommendations?
:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j

always do a good super maxi nightime pad, had those with my m/c (not the same thing at all I know) but thats what the EPU nurse recommended.
Took DH half an hour to find them in ASDA as he was determined not to ask anyone.....
    HTH

Off into town shortly..... am thinking of a quick dart into Greggs....... I feel like I need a good sugar fix (just what my teet need!)..... Im thinking donuts....

    Hiya everyone,

Hope you're all ok. I'm shattered, DD has dia-woo-woo and I ended up giving her a bath at 3am bless her, something she's eaten hasn't agreed with her but I have no idea what as MIL had her yesterday while me and DH went on a tour of the hospital (we were not impressed either lol so I'll be pushing to go to the birth centre in Petersfield providing all's well with my scan in 2 weeks.)

CAFCGirl has you tried phoning your local Dental Helpline? Each PCT has their own number to ring if you need to find an NHS Dentist or need emergency treatment.

Xmas, like you, I don't use pads normally but I found the Boots maternity pads good last time, they are quite thick so they cushioned my stitches and were a lot more comfortable than the mothercare or asda ones I tried. HTH.

We did see the one that said "Wearing a t-shirt like this you dont need pants" and that was on his list lol.
I told him he has to fill in the review asap so i can get back on the list lol.

Oh damn, we ordered his normal size. Which is a small, so if it does shrink that will be rubbish lol.

Have any of you searched your name on urbandictionary.com? Its quite funny.

:D There were others, but i wont post them lol. And yes i noted the person spelt 'ridiculously' wrong :rotfl:

    Hi everybody-hope all is good.
Just having a brief skim through posts
Cafcgirl-I hope your toothache gets better quickly I had it and had to have an extraction, I can't bear toothache.I used to hold frozen peas against my cheek wrapped in a towel which helped ease pain for bit.
OH took me shopping yesterday it was lovely until he decided to go into jd sports&I tripped and fell as soon as we stepped inside-a little boy shopping with his mum laughed at me I couldn't wait to leave the shop.Felt fine at the time but had an uncomfy night bump is now 18 weeks.OH did treat bump to a dumbo hat and bib set from disney store after I moaned that bump was feeling left out as we had shopped for ourselves and nothing for baby.
Is it ok to start shopping now? I've been buying little bits &pieces here and there but some people seem to think its too early and should wait until after 20 week scan.
