  • Remel - Thank you and hello :hello:yes that's why I went in, i was so deydrated my veins were collapsing, I'm trying to drink, but so difficult when you feel so dreadfully ill, but I'm trying. I gather sprout will still be ok as they take everything from me, and it's luckily only the mama that suffers.

Scotsgirl - :hello:although I'm terribly sorry to hear you too are suffering but my goodness it's lovely to cyber meet a lady that's going through the same thing. I'm on Ondansetron 4 mg 3 x a day which apparently was the strongest they could give me, but I find it only lasts roughly 5 hours so the hours between the tablets aren't very pleasant. I have begged the doctors to try other meds but they have said no. Have a great time at the NCT sales! They are great fun - it's like bumps at dawn when I used to go years ago lol!!! Good luck and let us know what bargains you come home with.

    Hugs to all x

  • Well, I've been having irregular pains since 5:30 so am very hopeful that this is the start of things for us. Just bouncing on my ball and drinking RLT to try and establish things a bit. I soooo hope this is it as it would also explain my complete wobble yesterday (and baby's sudden slowdown yesterday). Thankfully baby is back to wriggling about today so no worries there.

Hi GISI, ooh hopefully this is the start of it for you, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Glad the baby is nice and active too so you dont have to worry :)

Charliedavis :hello:, labour vibes for you too (and anyone else who needs/wants them!!) Every twinge I get I am seeing as a positive now, lol, and thinking ooh this could be it, have stopped telling DH about every single one though as he is never gonna take me seriously otherwise when it really does start happening, lol!!

I am waiting to hear from my work friend, do you remember I said her waters broke yesterday early hours, well she ended up going back to the hospital last night as contractions were every 5 mins by then, so I should imagine she has either had her baby by now or is very close, very excited for her and very jealous too, hehe!!

Not got a lot planned for today, we are popping to the local auctions this afternoon, they have a 3 sweet little wooden kids chairs including 1 rocking one which we particularly like, would prob ebay the other 2 if we won them. Then tonight DH is watching the boxing round his brothers, so my best friend is coming over to mine to watch x factor and catch up, whilst we sit with older dog who will be scared of the fireworks again :(

    xx

Gisi - and anyone else in need, big easy labour vibes to you xxx . I'm looking forward to hearing of some more births this weekend :D

Gymfiend - Its hard to make a recomendation when I'm not sure exactly what your looking for in your pushchair. But it is hard to compare much to the Bee, for weight and size when folded (considering its a travel system), as it quite unique. It can be a little tempremental though, so you would need to look after it, but on the bright side most issues that arise with it can be sorted quite easily. As for price it is a little bit expensive especially when you start adding on all the extra's. Anyhoo, maybe if you give me the key points you need/want your PC to have I can suggest a few alternitives and then as someone else suggested you can go look at them. Oh and that white bedroom furniture is really nice, and the bedding has cought my eye too hehe.

Welcome to barksavingmad sorry to hear your suffering though, fingers crossed for you that its not planning on sticking around much longer xx

Well gotta dash lots to do today, not that will probably get most of it done lol.

Oooh Gisi good luck, hope today is the day for you :) Thanks for the advice too - will have to go buy a muffin tray, all we have is scabby old baking trays, not big bakers in this house :)

Lots of labour vibes for Charliedavis too :D

Welcome to Barking, sorry you feel so rubbish though :( I'm afraid I can't offer any advice as luckily I evaded morning sickness but there's lots of lovely helpful ladies around who I'm sure will help :) I know MGEB has been trying homeopathic stuff but not sure if it'd have any effect if you're suffering so badly?

Thanks Som - sorry to keep bothering you! We're gonna pop up to Bambino Direct later today & see if they've got a bigger range than our local Mothercare as we're so stumped. We basically want something small, that a car seat can clip into, will last hopefully til the baby is out of pushchairs (i.e. not having to buy a cheaper stroller later), something that folds down small, something with a very adjustable height as we're both over 5'9 and my mum & MIL don't even quite reach 5 foot, and preferably that looks cool as we're superficial like that :D I guess the Bugaboo fits these requirements which is why we loved it in the first place, but OH seems to have gone off it yet has no idea what else we might get!

On an exciting note, I've sprouted an actual bump, that can be seen when I have clothes on!!! At just about 23 weeks, I was beginning to think it might never happen :) Still not big enough for anyone who doesn't know me to notice but tres exciting for me :D

    Hello ladies :cheesy:

After being a fly on the wall on the trying to conceive thread and also this wonderful thread for a little while, I feel ready to join you gals if you're ready for me?!

Expecting my third child May 21st, already have a 10 and 12 year old, but having said that this all seems very new again. Things have changed considerably in this time! It is the first child for my lovely man.

I was sick for 9 months for both my previous pregnancies, but this time I have Hyperemis Gravidarum, a totally different ball game:cry:

I wonder if any of you girls are suffering too. I've had one stay in hospital a month ago and been put on very strong anti sickness tablets, but some days that doesn't work. I've been signed off my two jobs. I feel like I've been in a living hell and to be honest, so envious of all you ladies who are enjoying your pregnancies (hope you don't mind me saying that). But I do have hope everyday that I may start to see a glimmer of bloomin' marvellous!

Having said all that, I just had my NT scan and I'm feeling much more positive now because my results are quite positive and the photos amazing it all seems more real now and I'm getting over the fear of thinking I may have another 6 months of illness and thinking it will all be worth it :heart2:

I just want to say hi to you all :hello:I feel like I know many of you already after following this thread for over 3 months, and thank you for being so helpful, entertaining and inspirational along my journey so far.

    x

    Yay on the bump! :j

Thanks! Still here, still getting pains so maybe today will be the day!

Just to say I love my Mothercare My3 (although obviously haven't actually used it yet). Not sure if you're already looked at the My3 and My4 in MC.

  • Hi everyone,
Fingers crossed and labour vibes to GISI and Charliedavis.
Welcome Barksaving - sorry that you're suffering this time around, hopefully it'll pass soon.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
  • Cakes sound good Kindofagilr - except I'm trying to be a bit better with my eating at the moment unfortunately. I realised the other day that I've put on a stone and I'm not 17 weeks yet (and I wasn't small to start with). I'm not doing anything silly like dieting, but I am trying really hard to be a bit more sensible with what I eat - the problem is that what I fancy is junk food!

Hmmm just spent half an hour cleaning the kitchen, yet I have a massive urge to bake! It's always like this on Saturdays, :p. Saw a fab-looking recipe on OS for carrot cake cupcakes the other day, may give them a go.
