Hi everyone, DH and I have had a couple of days off work together, which has been lovely. We haven't been away but took DD to a 'Wildlife and Dinosaur (!) Park' which was fantastic, also been trying to sort Xmas shopping etc. Anyway, just trying to catch up.
Beenie - I'm sorry, but I can't believe what a w@nker your ex is, I'm so wound up on your behalf.
EA - grr, that's really horrible - I bet your counting down the hours and minutes to your ML, I would be (actually I am too - I hate my work!).
Sorry, I can't really retain much more at the moment, so apologies to all those I haven't mentioned (I really am that rubbish:o). So anyway - sending big hugs to all those who need it.Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Really irritated as I was SO sure I was going into labour yesterday - BHs got painful and very strong, plus very frequent. But then stopped! Think it's just a sign something will happen soon :-(0

Som that's just positive thinking
Oooh Charlie lots of vibes for you sounds like things are moving in the right direction!
Can I be a pain in the bum and ask more advice please Som? ***presumes you say yes***Is the Bee really worth the money, or is there anything else comparable out there? I can't say I've seen anything I like so much but OH has gone off it slightly...but not onto anything else, so no idea what he wants me to show him really!!
Well you've all convinced me, as it's such a good deal with all the advantage card points, going to buy it tomorrowWill try & get it delivered as late as possible though, no idea where we'll store it til the room's all sorted...which is a while away yet! We think we like this dresser too but can't find it available to buy on its own anywhere...any ideas?
Ooh and more Qs while I'm here, when you make cupcakes, what sort of bun case do you use, as presumably the standard ones are too small?
Have a lovely day all xxx

Hello ladies :cheesy:
After being a fly on the wall on the trying to conceive thread and also this wonderful thread for a little while, I feel ready to join you gals if you're ready for me?!
Expecting my third child May 21st, already have a 10 and 12 year old, but having said that this all seems very new again. Things have changed considerably in this time! It is the first child for my lovely man.
I was sick for 9 months for both my previous pregnancies, but this time I have Hyperemis Gravidarum, a totally different ball game
I wonder if any of you girls are suffering too. I've had one stay in hospital a month ago and been put on very strong anti sickness tablets, but some days that doesn't work. I've been signed off my two jobs. I feel like I've been in a living hell and to be honest, so envious of all you ladies who are enjoying your pregnancies (hope you don't mind me saying that). But I do have hope everyday that I may start to see a glimmer of bloomin' marvellous!
Having said all that, I just had my NT scan and I'm feeling much more positive now because my results are quite positive and the photos amazing it all seems more real now and I'm getting over the fear of thinking I may have another 6 months of illness and thinking it will all be worth it :heart2:
I just want to say hi to you all :hello:I feel like I know many of you already after following this thread for over 3 months, and thank you for being so helpful, entertaining and inspirational along my journey so far.

IHF how awful of your work to do that  same for you EA, how unfair
No way Kindof, you've wanted that pushchair for so long too - is it available anywhere else? Nappy cake is lovely though
Boo - where are you keeping all the batch cooking, have you got a massive freezer?!
I was given an older version of this today, I know it's not v MSE but I still want to buy a new one...wish I'd got the BT ones when they were cheap now
Bit of a dilemma, it's a stupid one really, think we're gonna get the Lindam Solo cot & Boots have it with the extra points this wkend, using codes we could get it delivered for just over £150 with 4000 points, so 40 quids worth..added to the near 40 quid I have in points, we could almost get the car seat with them...but wondering if it's too early to buy the cot? I annoy myself with indecision sometimes!!
Definitely get it while the offer's on. We've bought all our baby stuff as and when it's been on offer and it's saved us a fortune. You don't have to take it out the box yet so it won't take up much room.Som that's just positive thinking

I'd use muffin cases in a muffin tin to get the American style deeper cup cakes.
Have you gone to Mothercare or similar and just tried loads of pushchairs? That's what we did and some of the ones we thought we'd love weren't for us and vice versa.barksavingmad wrote: »Hello ladies :cheesy:

Congratulations! Sorry to hear about the Hyperemesis- that must be so miserable. I'm not sure if anyone on here at the moment has had it that severely, but you'll certainly find lots of support on this board.
Are your two excited about the little one?
Well, I've been having irregular pains since 5:30 so am very hopeful that this is the start of things for us. Just bouncing on my ball and drinking RLT to try and establish things a bit. I soooo hope this is it as it would also explain my complete wobble yesterday (and baby's sudden slowdown yesterday). Thankfully baby is back to wriggling about today so no worries there.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Thank you so much for the welcome x And for adding my to the EDD list - how exciting!!!
Parnter and I are thrilled that we are expecting, although unfortunate it's not been a positive experience so far and probably quite shocking for him really. My children are very excited too. Actually that's an understatement, My 10 year daughter has read Emma's diary several times and has a mental list of what I need to take into the labour room with me lol!!!! (I think she thinks she may be coming - wrong!!!)
Apart from the anti sickness drugs, I am also having accupunture, don't drink and eat at the same time (that's when I can bring myself to eat) - I still haven't put on my pre pregnancy weight, but think it will take a while as my portions are extremely limited and small. And my mum ordered some lillipops (lillipops.com) iced soothies which do exactly that - soothes me when feeling yuck. But my tummy is HUGE! Think maybe it's because my muscles have had it after two big babies (8-12 / 9-2):T
My daughter said yesterday, i can't explain the feeling I've got but it's very good lol!!! She took her friends at school into the loo to tell them - what a nice memory that will be in years to come lol!
Look forward to chatting to you all xDS 17 yearsDD 16 years DS 5 years

Hello everyone
Welcome to Lauz and Barksavingmad
Barksaving - I think it is mostly important to maintain fluid intake, when I was on this thread last year a member ended up in hospital on a drip because of dehydration and was told to just keep drinking water as often as possible.
Lauz - I am sure the baby will be fine, but if it puts your mind at rest it is always best to get checked out....maybe you could phone your early pregnancy unit, they will normally fit you in for a scan within a couple of days:)
When I was prenant with ds1 I was about 7mths and went out into my back garden, I didn't realise there were wet slimy leaves on the patio slab and my feet went from under me and I ended on slap down on my back!! I was petrified, but he turned out ok:) Also with ds3 I was trying to get the dog to drink his water (long story) anyway I was tugging him by the collar when he managed to pull so hard the collar came off, he managed to knock the bowl of water all over the kitchen floor as he ran off, I slipped on the wet tiles and slap bang onto my stomach, I was about 5mths...I could have killed the dog!! anyway he also turned out to be fine:)
I had my booking in appt yesterday, she was able to whizz through most of it as I have only just been through it all:rolleyes: It was actually the same midwife who did my booking in appt last year with ds3, she remembered me:o She has me as 12wks (yest) and due on the 21st May, and said I should hear from the hospital by phone to arrange my dating scan within 10days:)
Hope everyone is well:)
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Barkingsavingsmad - I'll join you in the hating Hyperemesis corner, it truly sucks. I'm due 2 days before you and have had it the whole way through so far and have been signed off work too.I also ended up hospitalised when I was on holiday as a result. It seems to be almost under control with meds (I'm on a combination of 2) but as soon as I try to reduce them at all it comes back with a vengeance.
I don't know what meds you are on but it took a combinatiuon of two to straighten me out, I dropped half a stone in 4 days at one oint which I''ve thankfully managed to put on again now(well, I say thankfully.......lol)
On a cheerier note, off to an NCT sale today for a nose and bargain hunt. Feel a little safer buying things now I'm past the 12 week mark even if my best mate did tell me she doesn't think I should buy anything til bubs is BORN! what would that do for my bargain hunting huh!
hope everyone is well#0
