It was my 34+1 appointment today and it didnt go smoothly
I have protien in my urine
My blood pressure is too high (140/90), she seemed really concenrened about this and has asked me to stay off on thursday to wait for a MW to come see my at home to take it again (she took it 3 times while we were there, she had me wait in the waiting room between appointments to take it)
And baby is now Breechhe has been in the right position all the way and now he is breech
I asked what would happen if he stays breech but she wouldnt say.
She said if BP is still high depending on what it is she thinks I should finish work this week and not next week, I dont know what I will do about that all my dates are in etc
And I was supposed to go back for 36 weeks, but I have to go back next week now instead
I am slightly worried and concerned.
*hugs* kindof. If the midwife advises you to stay off work next week then you definitely should. All my mat leave stuff states that if you want to change your dates then you need to give 28 days notice *unless this is not possible*, circumstances where your midwife is advising you to for yours and babys health will definitely be mitigating circumstances, so don't worry. Do you get sick pay? If so I'd be tempted to call in sick for last week
I know it's hard but try not to worry about it, or that will make your blood pressure worse. At least you know you and Elliott are being well looked after now. There is still plenty of time for Elliott to turn round as well so don't even think about that until nearer the time.
MV - hope everything is ok with your scan tomorrow. Will be keeping everything crossed for you.
Redstar - that's ridiculous that they couldn't do your tests because you're one day behind! Surely it shouldnt make any difference??
Gymfiend - welcome back
Had three been on recently? Don't remember her posting for a few days.
I've think I'm just going to keep my fitted moses basket sheets that are too big for the mattress. Once I've wrapped them round and then put mattress in they fit really snugly so shoudlnt be a problem. I guess it's not much different to using a flat sheet on the mattress really.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
forgot to mention, we've got house viewing on friday. Have seen pics of it on the internet and looks like it could work for us. Am so tempted even if its not perfect to say to dh we need to take it because i need to feel like we're getting somewhere now.... and its making me stress about everything which is no good for baby etc. DH is a bit more enthusiastic about it now he has a job...
And then I can start on nursery decoration!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
CACF - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the house, I do hope it's perfect!

Kindof try not to worry sweetie. With dd I had bp of 100/160 and had traces of protein in my urine but I didn't develop pre eclap.Little bean still has time to move, app going down on your hands and knees can encourage them to turn around. If your midwife has adviced you to finish a wk earlier then I wd do it,perhaps they can put you on sick pay rather than mess up your ml dates. Most importantly put your feet up (literally!)it will help your bp.x:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Kindof... I had high blood pressure and protein in wee with DS. Don't want to worry you hun but I ended up in hospital for quite a few weeks then induced. That was 14 years ago:o so I think things are a bit different now as ladies are more closely monitored at home.
Pre eclampsia can be dangerous to mother and child so that's why they get a bit concerned by it but because you will now be monitored you'll be fine;)
I'm at high risk of it this time round as well.
Aww blimey! it would suck to go in to be there for weeks.
Are you ok this time around?
Thanks DPwe'll try talking to him
Thanks for the hugs redstar xxx Thats crap that they have your dates wrong so couldnt do the blood tests!
Hey Brednall I hope the sweep starts things off for you
Thanks Maureen xxx
Thanks Gillto be honest I am not due to start mat leave till 3rd March I am taking annual leave from 3rd Feb so I wouldnt need to change the mat leave date? I do get sick pay, I am going to speak to my boss tomorrow and tell her I need thurs off and tell her about possibility of me having to finish early
Yeah thats a good idea about the sheets gill, I have flat sheets for mine though and hate them lol so ia m going to get some fitted ones from asda
Good Luck for house views CAFC
Thanks twinkle
And thanks supersaver xx
You have all be lovely

I think you should keep going kindof (altho that's not an informed opinion!!) I think most of the stuff (RLT, EPO) helps healing and labour rather than bringing it on?? So might be more important to keep going incase they want to induce at 37 weeks or anything?Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0
