Hello ladies and gent. Just wondering 2 things, does anyone find they're eating more of things they don't usually eat a lot of without it being an actual 'craving'? At the moment I seem to be liking fruit juice, something I normally buy once in a blue moon. And bread, normally it gives me stomach ache, but bubs seems to a carboholic!

Also, where exactly do they injecy you with the anti-d? I've got to have it apparently (I've got monkey blood according to the lovely OH) and can't quite figure out where they jab you - thigh or butt? Not looking foward to it either place, but hey ho.

ymake - yup thats them and eek 19 now, she is a nut case! Just back from my anti-d too they actually remembered it this time hehe, and think Im getting used to it now this is my 4th and didnt hurt so much!

Our appointment was 40 min late getting started, but got chips on the way back :D

SJ - nice birth plan, MW was discussing mine too mainly about various injestions and cord cutting, she showed me the space in my notes where I can write it too :D

Asked about EPO again and got a non comital response, pah so annoying. Asked if there are any other classes ontop of antenatal I can book and was told there is a BF one and she gave me the no. hope I can get a place. Wasnt my usual MW as she is off on compationate leave, I miss her she's way chattier and doesnt seem so uptight.

Is is bad that my first thought was "I wonder if it just fell out as she was walking round asda?!" ?? :rotfl:

Ha ha, I thought the same thing. For the last 3-4 weeks of my pregnancy with DD, I felt as if she would just fall out at any time. I used to worry about it when I had to walk anywhere. ha ha! She was 2 1/2 weeks late and after 3 days pre labour and 26 hours of established labour I bl00dy wish she had!! :D

    welcome DP ,
also MV if you are around hope things have gone ok with MW today , sticky vibes for you xx

Evening Nik...thank you so much for asking :)

Well I went for my booking in appt today, and when I told the MW about all the bleeding problems I have had this week (inc a fairly large one first thing this morning), she booked me in for another scan immediately at EPU.

So up I went again feeling really anxious/depressed/despondant you name it...truely believing to hear bad news as the bleeding has been getting worse, but lo and behold we still have a bean with a good heartbeat..we were so relieved.

They don't know why I am bleeding, but she did see some blood on the scan which is on it's way out and told me not to be upset/worried if I get a few big splats in the next day or so. The area of bleeding was on the opposite side to the baby though so that was good.

So..I have to go back again to EPU on 1st Feb for another scan and just take it easy till then. They've done all my blood/urine tests etc today and I'm offically 'booked in' now, so will just have to see what the next few weeks bring.

Can't wait to join this thread properly and the EDD list!

    Hey everyone,

Not been able to catch up in a couple of days so trying to read through now, hope i don't miss anything big!

Congrats to Meltdown & welcome to baby Mark :)

Kindof hope you've managed to find something to sooth the itching? My mum had really severe itching throughout with my brother & was actually prescribed something in the end as it was driving her mad so maybe worth mentioning to midwife/doc?

SJ I'm going to nick your birth plan & rework it a bit - I've never been able to work out quite what I want to write, or how to write it!

OMG to the woman with 19 kids - must be mental!

EA we need bump pics so we can see if Lily's dropped :D

MV glad you've managed to get seen again and you've got a little more reassurance, x

Som we got the boy Superman babygro from Mothercare last week :D It's lovely, the pink one's so cute!

I'm soooo tired tonight, went out with my friend this morning into town & only just back really - had sushi which was lovely (40% vouchers are the devils work!!) & trailed round the shops all aft! Picked up a lovely dress reduced to a fiver in H&M and some other bits & bats from Boots & Urban Outfitters. Not really bought anything for myself lately so quite nice to treat myself :D Parked my car outside of town & walked the half hour there and back and seriously felt it, actually thought at one point he might just decide to arrive he felt so heavy and low, good job I was near the hospital!!

eta: Is anyone else really struggling to eat? I feel like my stomachs the size of a pea at the minute, and am a bit concerned I might not be eating enough?
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j
  • Hi MV, I'm pleased that it sounds like it went well.

Hurrah for all those starting their ML soon, I've only got 21 working days left as I've booked 5 weeks holiday before I start my ML and I really can't wait.

I'm impressed by the birthing plans, last time my MW was really discouraging about having a plan, so I don't think I actually had one. Haven't really thought about it yet this time, it all feels a bit funny as I haven't seen my MW since I was 16 weeks and then it was only literally for a few minutes. I'm due to see her now on Tuesday for my 28 week check-up, but it's wierd - as I've hardly seen her, I don't really feel like I want to 'share'!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Hmmm, am on my second page of my birth plan and im still writing about the 2nd stage lol.
I may need to go through after and reduce it :D

I dont really have anything majorly specific for my birth plan

Id like a water birth if pool not in use, if not

Like I want it to be as natural as possible but am not saying no to any drugs right now, the only thing I dont want is (if I need monitoring) to be tied to the bed being monitored

Second Stage I dont really know what I could put about that lol

And third stage I am not bothered about it being natural I think I would rather have the injection so its over faster and I can spend time with OH and beany

I want skin to skin, if I cant then OH wants it, and I wish to breasfeed asap

YAY MV I am so pleased you saw a healthy bean on the scanner :) and yay that you get another scan on 1st feb

Yes I did thanks gymfiend we got some camomile lotion and it seems to be soothing it now, so I am going to have a bath in a bit and get OH to put some more on before bed :) then I guess I can just put some on in the morning before I get dressed for work and hope that helps througout the day?

I just hope it doesnt last the rest of pg!

Yay for your food and treats :)

I am about to order the sheets for MB and CB to be delivered to asda cos they have none in :(
