Was wondering if the Johnsons box that Asda have at the moment is worth buying or not? Do you find you use everything that's in it or would I be best just buying what I need seperately.0

Hi, I was in asda this morning specifically to buy the johnsons box!
BUT!!!! Its not the same as the normal one!
The normal Lilac box rrp £30ish has (according to the one in asda still at £20 this morning) 6 standard size bottles (shampoo, baby bath, bedtime bath, oil, soft wash and baby lotion, approx 250-300ml) bar of soap, cotton buds, talc and small packet of wipes.
The White "Limited Edition" box on sale today at £10 has only 5 smaller size bottles (100ml baby oil and shampoo, 200ml baby bath and baby lotion, 300ml top-to-toe wash), 24wipes, cotton buds and small 100g talc.
Seems like a good bit less in it (no bar of soap either). The box seems to be the same size and i'm quite happy with it, I just hope that people notice that the contents are different from the lilac usual essentials box.
dont know if they still have the offer but toysrus had the Lilac box on offer at £14.99 at the start of the month and that might be better value though I haven't worked it out in price per ml or anything.
hope this helps.
bye the way, i bought the white one anyway so that i would have the box for my craft hobby! lol And the full size bottles are on offer in asda for a £1 for some of them too if you want more product.

I'd prob use most things in it, but not talc or oil, and the cotton buds i'd buy own brand for about 29p, the wipes are cheaper in bulk.
The bottles are usually about £1.79 each but are £1 in the baby event anyway - the box itself is good but you're likely to keep the bath stuff in the bathroom after the first few times if you're anything like me0 -
i only needed 500ml to drink before my scans and all was well , dont oevr fill as it is very uncomfortable,
been having very low period pains on and off every 3 mins or so for a bout 1 min since about 10 am , its scaring me a little as i can not for life of me remember what contractions felt like its so long ago , are they low high middle ? when i go to have a walk around they dont ease and bounce on my ball they dont ease , paracetamol dont ease them either ,,Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
We use the box to keep our downstairs nappy change stuff in like nappies, a pack of wipes, nappy bags and also breast pads for me. It's so useful not having to go upstairs everytime.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Gisi - love the dowstairs box idea, we have a lil dvd cupboard in our living room, may chuck a few bits in there, as I like your idea of having stuff to hand.
Oh and both the Sure start centres I emailed have gotten back to me this morning, neither of them are open just yet, one is due April the other May! The first did give me another contact for another local centre and the lady there was real nice. But as they only opened last September thay are still getting alot of stuff up and running, everything they currently do is geared from birth on, tho she did say I was welcome to come and chat to other mums at there Wrigglers sessions they run on tue and thur afternoons. So Sure start for the mo is a wash outBaby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2
