Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec
  • Just wondered if there were certain vitamins that I could take for the benefit of baby through the pregnancy? Used to take 'pregnacare' but the doctors wanted me to stop because of the iron levels in it interfering with my IBS. If any1 knows anything, i would be thankful xx

So went to see my DR this am as seem to have got thrush!!!! Joy!

I explained to her my worries & concerns about not feeling PG she was really nice and has said to see the MW tomorrow instead of Fri ( they only do Tuesday & Fridays) and explain to her & they may be able to scan me earlier but did explain that early scans were kept for bleeding etc....

Don't know if it has made me feel any better but i expect they would do blood tests etc tomorrow as my fist MW appointment???? would they confirm I was PG???

Spoke to Dh again and he said that maybe we could have the private scan in Truro after all if it would help me to come to terms with being PG given i have no Signs or Symptons.....
If you can think it........it will happen
  • Hi tinkwings, how many tests have you done?I did 2.1 first resp and 1 clearb digital which spelt it out to me!lol.I was told by my doc that you don't get false positives and that the tests we use at home are now as good as at the docs.I don't remember having blood tests when I first saw midwife (I'm in Exeter too) but I do remember lots of paperwork and family medical history etc.
Sorry I can't remember if this is your 1st preg or not?SAme people don't get the dreaded morning sickness and tiredness for others it kicks in later. Please try to chill out a bit, otherwise your work yourself into a frenzy. If you feel the scan wd put your mind at rest and you can afford it go for it.I had an early scan cos I was bleeding but it didn't stop me worrying.I thought I wd stop panicking after the 12 wk one but then I started worrying bout the 20 wk one.

Supersaver sorry I dont know what you should take, apart from folic acid, I take pregnacare cos it has everything but you cant :(

It depends how many weeks you are tinkwigs, I went to see MW at 8 weeks and they did bloods then but as far as I am aware they didnt retest for pregnancy cos they trust the home tests?

If you would feel better getting a private scan then I would xx

Hello, been lurking for aaaaages, so only seems decent to introduce myself ;). I've got a due date of 12/07/10. This is my first, but OHs 2nd (got an almost 19 yr old). I've been vetoed on finding out the sex by everyone (booo), so it's a surprise for me, unless baby gives us a flash at our 20 week!

Xmas - sorry to hear about the tiredness, didnt enjoy that phase at all!

Nikkit - Can/hospital visit sounds a bit of a wash out, hope the news is good tomorrow tho x Put your feet up and enjoy that sofa lol.

Tink - eek at thrush, hope it clears soon x Oh and yeay to OH coming around on the scan :D

Yorkgal - my bump changes size frequently, its very odd but just down to babies position. I also find am much bigger at the end of the day, probably a gravity type thing lol. Oh and am a Double DD pre pg too, if you get a good fitting bra you can ditch the underwire, and I never thought I'd say that!

SJ - thats so funny about the cross legged thing !

SS - yeay for scan tomorrow :D Also hoping for no snow tomorrow so I can get to antenatal on wed.

Gisi - fab link and prices :)

EA - after your post I checked out how much my old mobiles are worth £55 for one £23 and £6 for the others :D

Kindof - glad you made it to work today :) Was talking to some of the ladies at work and saying I think Im getting BH now but not sure, after much discussion have come to the conclussion that yup I am. so knowing that now think I've had them since about 29 weeks. Feels like Bubs is having a mighty good stretch in there and its a lil uncomfy and all goes tight. Glad you liked the RLT :D

Kym - no pushchair does everything you've asked and most are pretty pants on sand (and snow) tbh. Try looking at three wheelers tho as they are pretty robust. If you can get a good price on a second hand Bugaboo Cameleon, that might be good for you as they have a 2 wheel mode for sand/snow but are pretty pricey at £700 brand new! Kym as for the rest of the stuff thats up to
you, we were on a tight budget to start but have been given things that would never buy eg bottle warmer and have found some stuff were just too good to miss bargains. Besides we havent spent as mush as planned on some stuff so splashed on other bits along the way.

CAFC - sorry the viewing was a miss, hope the one tomorrow is better x

Saz - agree with SJs comments about finding out :D Its nice to buy things in pretty colours, some neutral stuff is tres boring (not all tho), saying that alot of our big stuff is neutral incase we have a boy next time hehe.

Well OH has a cold poss flu on its way and was a pain in bed last night keeping me awake even more, not his fault tho just a pain! Work wise the heating is fixed but have gone from one extreme to the other as its now like a sauna! Is it sad I dont wanna go to work tomorrow but wanna get to Sainsburys and stock up on their 1/3 off goodies!

Hi Fellow Extonian!!! It is my 2nd my Daughter was born in 1997!!!!!!

I have had no tests done at all by the doctors yet. I have seen my Dr twice Once 4 weeks agao when I first found out and then again today. She advised to bring my MW appointment forward to tomorrow as it is the MW that books the scans etc etc. Just would like some sort of realness if that makes any sense?????:o:o
