Gill - I would lay off its lots and ignore your staff, I used to clean (either mop or sweep) under all the pushchairs once a week and havent done it since getting my bfp. Like Kindof I dont hoover at home either for the same reason.

  • Hi everyone,
    Just catching up:
PP - Congratulations, at last! I'm sorry it was a difficult labour.
LL - I'm so sorry about your news, sometimes life feels so unfair. Please take care of yourself, and I hope to see you back here soon.
    Welcome to Bonty and Laura.
Well that's about as far as I've got, I'll continue reading in a minute. I hope everyone who got out today, got on ok? I went back into work today, but driving in was really, really scary. We had been told that if we had major childcare problems we could bring our children in - eek. I had nightmares last night about how disruptive my 4 year old could be to the whole office, but fortunately her nursery opened this morning so I didn't need to find out!

    woowoo!!!!

My bump seems to go through phases of looking clearly pregnancy bump and then just making me look like im still carrying puppy fat from my pre-teens.....

And did anyone else's skin just seem to go to pot?!
I've got dry flaky skin on my forehead and nose, red patches round the side of my nose, circles under my eyes are a totally new shade of purple!

I've never felt so totally unattractive....
And to boot ive now got one pair of yoga pants that fit comfortably, and thats it, and cant afford to buy anything.....

    :(

I sympathise entirely, the same applies to me. My bump goes from mahooosive to a possible beer belly depending on where bubs is lying. As for my skin - I think my face has dandruff!

Hi everyone looking for some advice when did you go and buy your pram? I am 14 weeks but as its twins Ive been told to expect to go early, dont want to jinx anything (irrational I know!) but dont want to leave it too late.

    Thanks for advice

Well i just spent half an hour sewing my duvet back together, i think the big fella (aka the male dog)senses that bubs arrival is imminent and is behaving like a child lol He has been behaving more and more strangely towards me recently, He was pushing the lappy away yesterday trying to get my attention, and he stole clothes out of the wash basket too and he never done that before along with chewing other things, think he is missing mummy time as i can't go down onto the floor and play the way we used too. I keep telling him soon mummy will play when the baby is here and sleeping lol.

Haven't quite got everything ready for bubs yet, just need fiddly bits that really could be done without for the moment so no panic rushing to the shops any way, well except the car seat lol

Hobo my friends wife had twins and they were born at 8mths as she had complications in her first pregnancy so i think you will have plenty of time to get a pram. Most places deliver them pretty quick too (24/48 hr dispatch)so by the time you'd get out the hospital it would be at home for you.HTH

Som your boss is an A@@E lol

Where do I start? Not sure if I said congrats to JHA?well done sweetie. Also massive congrats to PP-I thought he was never going to come out!Gorgeous pics by the way, real cutie.
I hope that Gemma is doing ok,I didn't get to say good luck but I have been thinking of her today.
Sorry to hear your news LL,take care of yourself luvie.
Sorry to hear your mum is still being horried, three. It's such a hard time for your family at the mo,hopefully she'll come out of it soon as you really cld do with her support right now.
Kindof I don't think your particularly paranoid about baby movements etc but I do find that little miss kicks a lot more when I'm relaxed and not stressing or willing her to kick if that makes sense?I wish Hubby wd hoover for me!He was an angel through my 1st pregnancy and wouldn't let me carry bags, clean bathroom etcOr hoover. With this 1 (my 2nd pregnancy)it rarely occurs to him that I might be struggling.I miss being pregnant 1st time rd 'cos everyone is so excited (rightly so!)and makes a fuss, plus you can nap when you want 'cos you don't have to worry 'bout your firstborns teatime for example.lol.Sometimes even now (at nearly 33 wks)I forget I'm pregnant 'cos I'm too busy putting Elizabeths boots on or crawling around on my hands and knees trying to find the missing jigsaw puzzle piece! So to all the first timers-savour every moment and milk it!!Hee
    hee ;)
I had to take dd back to docs again today as she still has her urine infection (3 wks now)so we're onto the 3rd course of antibiotics!Luckily hubby is doind a late shift today so he came with us.It was slow progress,'cos of the snow and ice and I slipped and skidded trying to keep dd upright as well.If he hadn't of been there I would of fallen at least twice!I have spd and boy did it hurt (not surprised your sore Som,sticky out tongue to your manager!)I have no intention of going out there again till at least monday, far too dangerous.

Ive been tempted to get this and jack in sky movies (which is £10 a month)

    What do you get?

There's different packages you can get, it's worth you having a look through if you fancy it and I think the prices are quite reasonable. I used to be with them before but ended up being too busy to watch much tv or films so I cancelled it. Just rejoining for the free trial and maybe 1 month's worth while I'm on leave with no baby, to get the £18 cashback!

Gill sound slike a hard day at work. Make sure you take it easy tonight. I would say if it's been put in your risk assessment then definitely don;t do it, and don't feel bad for not doing it! You've been told not to for a reason!

As for home that's a bit different as like you say the area is lots smaller etc and you only have to do it as and when you feel you can. Personally I have been hoovering the whole time and our kitchen is tiny so I get down on all fours to clean the floor in there so no mopping for me!

MMmmm my fajitas were nice! Just had a mandarin too and wondering what to have next ha ha!!

DH has just gone to work :( And it started snowing here again an hour or so ago and there's another inch fallen so far. I am worried about him driving there now, and even more about driving back :(
