Good luck JHA hope all goes well and you get back home soon.
oh no PP how are we gonna get updated on yous if yous are both in hospital at the same time! Ok bubs stay put till we have news on JHA then get out ASAP:rotfl:

Didn't make it out shopping but did get Tesco with dad, turns out it was a photo of my sis he wanted copied and printed, so i went into her room and got some other pictures of her, They are lovely pics and we are so pleased how they turned out.

Just made a marinated chicken dish that i have not made since OH and i dated 13years ago lol Nostalgia struck when i found a picture of us when i was 17 so i made it for dinner and showed him the picture, kind of strange because it was my sis who took the picture. Everything reminds me of her, even the snow, she always complained we didn't get snow for xmas and new year like when we were kids, it's as if she asked up their if we could have it as a farewell,

Sorry i'm a bit soppy tonight,

    Hugs and vibes all round.

    What I decided on.

Labour (improvised, I had an elective C section) (I'd suggest your important labour stuff to be at the top of your main bag rather than seperate bags)

    Notes.
Old T shirt to birth in, you may get it dirty and as I'm tight I'd ask for hospital gowns if I did.
    Socks
Slippers and dressing gown if you want to walk.
Hair bands (you will end up telling your long hair to get the !!!! out your mouth)
Cheap faceclothes you can bin for cleaning up afterwards, and toiletry bag.
Tub of vaseline (to use on your lips and then afterwards slather some on your lady bits so it doesn't sting when you pee and you can use it on nipples too)
Camera (probably explain to your partner what you will do if they take a pic of you red faced and sweaty)
Snacks and drinks (though I just sent DH to the machine)
Clean T shirt for your partner (think of messy hand prints)

    Clean nightgowns
    Breast pads
Maternity pads (boots are agreed to be softer)
Paper knickers or old knickers (nice and big)
Nursing bras if breast feeding, supportive bra either way.
Something to read for when you have to go poo so you can sit and relax (trust me it works)
Spare change for chocolate machine, erm.. I mean phone
Comfy clothes (nothing that presses on your tummy) and shoes.
face wipes, moisturiser (your skin gets bleurgh)

    for baby

    Nappies
cotton wool (some hospitals don't provide it)
sleepsuits, vests, socks (mits fall off socks are better), cardigan, small cuddly toy for the crib (must have)
dummy (optional, hospital will give you small container of milton)
ask your hospital about formula, some give it out some don't
    going home outfit

Car seat already fitted in your car and you have had a play to make sure you know what you are doing.

I also took some peppermint tea bags for after my section to help with any tummy problems. And a bottle of diluting orange because you do have to drink loads and water isn't always my first choice.

Oh and any medication you take. And you may or may not want to take paracetamol... If you do take some and take them just tell your midwife. They can be a bit slow bringing it to you if your low risk. Gaviscon if you take it. The heartburn doesn't always magically vanish.

Hope this gives you some ideas.
