Well, you can tell him that was a compliment from one of the pregnant MSE ladies, lol! I really did think they were shop bought!!! Well done you two! They are fab! He should do them and sell on ebay or something because i am sure so many people out there would love to have some cat in the hat stuff as it reminds us of when we were young, i mean, i'm not sure about copyright on that but it'd def be worth a try.
I always wanted to do a big Belle (beauty and the beast) for DD on her wall but i am terrible at finishing things, i can draw really well but none of my artwork, even my canvasses from years ago are finished, i always find myself moving on to something else just before it's complete. I used to like drawing scary images, like half horse, half man type things ( i have a big, nearly finished drawing at home that i did when i was about 17, i think it's some mystic or starsigny type thingy someone printed and i drew in big) or sad pictures, like tears and pain - i think i was a troubled kid while at schoollol, prob explains my gothy/rock chick type phase, haha!

Helen sorry you didnt get the home birth you wanted but so happy for you to now have your little man here.
Im off to watch a film (fall asleep on sofa!) with OH. I told him his paintings had been complimented and he went beetroot and told me off for showing them everyone
Night ladies and huge labour vibes to those at the top
Mgeb your artwork sounds just like OH's! He does weird half men, half planes and big weird psychadelic drawings. He's got a degree but is so modest and laid back in his attitude to his artwork, everyone asks for them as pressies but he doesnt think he's good enough!Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
Congrats Helen. Sad to hear you didn't get your HB though. I have one booked too so understand how that must have made you feel :-(0

Ah bless him - My OH did that too, strange half man half motorbike, and half man half bird, kind of like a angel but dark, demony type thing! Oh no i think we all have troubled minds lol! Well i was with OH since we were at school, for his art GCSE he did a naked woman bathing in a lake with forest all around (something to do with 'the begining') - all done in pastel chalks and huge massive picture. He got an A, he was better than me as his stuff was all finished, lol! BUT everyone at school thought the picture was ME...I promise it wans't at all as he'd never even seen me nude by then but it made me mega embarrassed!!! I never lived that one down, especially as it was displayed in the art room for all to see.
I done A-level but never completed as got a full time job as needed to pay rent! Lol, sound like story of my life, never completed anything...oops, lol!
You tell OH that he shouldn't be embarrassed, he has a lovely talent - i really think he should make something of it on the side!
Nighty night!Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
Night night MGEB, I am off to bed now too.
Helen, thanks for the update, sorry you didnt get your homebirth but glad it all went well in the end and your little one is here safe and sound. Thank you for giving us the heads up about your mucus/waters as I wouldve thought the same as you, the word waters indicates they would be like water doesnt it!! Also the bit about ur waters breaking and you running comedy style made me laugh out loudxx

Aww Helen, sorry you didn't get your HB too. I am planning one so can imagine you were disappointed. At least when it happened it was quite quick though and great you didn't have to be induced!
Boogelly those canvases are fab! I wish I could do stuff like that!
Well off to bed now too. Night all and GISI sending you labour vibes!0 -
