You're all posting so quick I cant keep up
Evansangel fish steams really well as does rice. Another one I do is chicken parmesan. Cut two breasts in half so you have 4 "thin breasts" (cook quicker too), mix up a bowl with 1 egg, a teaspoon of lemon juice and a teaspoon cornflour. In another bowl mix up some breadcrumbs with some parsley and grated parmesan cheese. Dip the chicken in the egg and then the breadcrumbs and put it in the steamer-cook until juice runs clear. You can do the same recipe in a frying pan but I prefer it in the steamer because theres no need for oil, and then you can do either some sliced veg to go with it or cous cous (which also is beautiful in the steamer)0 -
Ok I have a bedding question. The classic winnie the pooh bedding from Mothercare goes perfectly with the classic winnie the pooh border (half price
) that we've got from toys r us. But it's sooooo expensive.
I think we'll be using sheets and blankets rather than a sleeping bag so I'm just wondering what bedding I actually need from the range to make my cot look nice. ie I presume I may as well get plain fitted sheets as they won't be seen coz everything else is on top of them! eww an internal?? not another one..honestly I've been poked and prodded enough the last year!!! Nothing was mentioned about a scan at 6 weeks..is that the norm or does it depend on the area you live in/doctor etc?
Hope you feel better soon Polka
No, its because Im "high risk", been trying 2 years-and am under the care of a fertility consultant. Had a M/C in March this year and got pg this month on third cycle of clomid. Also, I have cerebral palsy which affects my left hemishere and last week I had niggles on that side so they were concerned it was ectopic or my uterus muscles were falling (on the weaker side). Thy've been monitoring my hcg levels to establish that its not ectopic and baby is doing fine-but my hcg hasnt been high enough to see anything yet-so they've booked me fo a 6 week to see where baby is so that they can figure out what other implications. DS also lay on the left side and I was on crutches from 25-32 weeks and then a wheelchair until I delivered....oops-forgot to say thanks for the feel better vibes:)0 -
Thanks polka
That sounds yummy, i will approach OH with it later to see what he thinks. He is so fussy lol.
PP- My fish is still alive! I swear he's immortal lol. This is honestly the longest pet i've managed to keep
Except my old cat which is at my mums, still alive0 -
Ah thanks for explaining Polka...honestly I'm so clueless about this whole thing!!!
I dont think I've got to go for a check up until the 11th week, so guess between now and then (I'm just coming up to w 5), I've just got to hope that the bean sticks!
What are you lasies planning for tomorrow night? We're just staying in, OH is going to cook a curry and I'm going to have a nice glass of cava to see in the new year.
We normally either go to friends or have peope over to us and get nicely messy and merry, but noth this year..dont think I'd enjoy watching my friends all getting drunk around me!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Hi all, just back from mums didn't make it to the shops mum wants to join me tomorrow, And i now have a dilemma, Mum is under the impression that we are going to hers for the bells, she has bought drinks for everyone right down to alcohol free for me! Now i need to figure out how/when to tell OH. Guess we could take his dad to my parents for the bells, just not sure how my parents will react to someone that drinks like him?
PP poor fish, don't know what it is with mine but i have had the same ones for years and every time i try to introduce any new one's they die within the week, i have given up now. YAY for the freecycle loot,
Ouch on internal scans i feel uncomfortable enough with the normal ones lol
On bedding i think three sets are enough, one on the cot/basket one spare and one in the wash. anymore and they just sit in the cupboard gathering dust. bumpers etc look nice but really aren't a necessity one set is enough as they usually end up almost dry when washed so are back on by the evening anyway.
Any news on Jha? hope you are well!![STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Ok OH has spoke to them at toys r us again, and they reckon it says at the very bottom of the info that the base is sold seperate (I still dont understand why there are differences with the online one and in store one)
As a good will gesture they are going to give us a in car base from the shop floor, they cant give us a new one but can give us one from the storeDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)
