hi all, sorry not really read back properly to catch up, I confess. Had MIL round all morning and then MWs in the afternoon and so have had no time to do anything either housework or online! PP, sending huge labour vibes for you hon, I know you're so fed up :(.

Anyone know how long sales go on for? Got a £50 Mothercare voucher as a present today and am thinking would be smart to use while everything's cheaper. Not sure ready to venture to shops with Finn just yet so will likely nose around online.

just to brag - Finn's only lost 40g of weight since birth! He's feeding loads, so I'm not surprised! :p
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

would like to win a holiday, please!!

MrsBuble (love your name:) ) Sorry you're feeling so carp. Someone said earlier in the page that really cold water might stir baby-but Im not sure how much movement you would be feeling now as Im only on 5ish weeks and I dont really remember much from when I had DS.
MV Im expecting an internal when I go for my 6 week scan on Tuesday. Ive had a load of them over the last 18 months so they dont bug me anymore-just a nuisance in that you have to strip-where obviously with external its not the case.
PP Your MW really sounds like a numpty-what a horrid experience-but good going on the freecycle stuff.

I think Im getting a cold-My nose and throat are really sore and I have a splitting hedache. And for all my bragging about vanilla...I now have swollen gums tha just started bleeding whilst I was out and the vanilla is not easing it:(
  • wow PP what a great haul of goodies..

    wish i was that lucky!

Kindof - for clothes, but i think i may have more or about the same, and i bought most of mine so i cant say that people gave them to us...:o
But yeah i like the idea of the wicker basket.
I think we're going to store nappys in the top section of the wardrobe and on the shelf above the door and then just have some in a baby box to keep in the living room, so i dont have to take her all the way to the nursery for changes.

I think we're moving at the end of the contract, so she might not even sleep in her room lol.

    Nice bump!

Thanks, ah you see that makes you worse than us lol

    Aww PP that sucks :(

Thanks gymfiend :) Awww sorry to hear about your fall.

Awww Polka :) we were very lucky to have been given a lot of stuff, the boucer we have and the swing was also given, we're just lucky

Thanks Som :) I know we keep walking into his room and just wishing he was here, although he wont be in that room for a long timeyet lol yeah I am sure you will figure it all out :)

lolo06 tehy are from Ikea and are the Leksvik range (I think thats how you spell it) the cotbed was £75, the wardrobe was £150 and the drawers were about £80 I think, I cant remember exact prices :)

MLSL - It was me thanks, I wil try that in a bit, I think I have felt him move around but I have been out and about today so not 100% sure

Gill - Yes its a proper baby wardrobe it comes with two hangers, I will take a pic to show you what I mean, we only have one up cos he has some long suits, it was from Ikea

rachelet - well done for team pink :)

MrsBuble - I find a hot bath helps

MV - Wow a september date, thats scary

Well we went to toys r us today and decided on the lemon grass graco one, and we bought the changing bag as well

BUT when we got home there is no in car base in there you know the thing you put in the car and the seat clicks into? so we calls toys r us, and were told that its not included, apparantly the store version is different to the website version, I was like what EVEN THOUGH the price is EXACTLY the same!

SO here I am sitting in tears cos I wanted to build our pram and it looks like we are going to have to pack it all up and take it back and then order it again online FOR THE SAME PRICE! or pay £35 extra for a in car base

Do you use freecycle? I have been so lucky with it honestly i have barely had to buy anything new!

Even my buggy (i got a loola) was through a friend of a friend on freecycle i only paid £50 for it :D

If you do use it and havent been lucky just keep trying and keep asking you will get lucky sooner or later :D

I am really gobsmacked about the amount of stuff sat in my kitchen at the moment though :rotfl:

eww an internal?? not another one..honestly I've been poked and prodded enough the last year!!! Nothing was mentioned about a scan at 6 weeks..is that the norm or does it depend on the area you live in/doctor etc?

Hope you feel better soon Polka
