Well i am :j:j:jbecause i have harry home:j The nurses wanted him to stay in over christmas but he really turned a corner very quickly and after many tears and begging to the doctors they let me stay in a connecting flat to the hospital once he had all his drips, and wires off and out so we could be together 24 hrs to bond and feed. He did so well they took out his feeding tube and let us go after another 24 hrs monitoring on the neonatal ward. Poor thing had so many tests done to him. It has been it was really hard to watch. He had a canula in his hand and foot, tons of heel pick tests was hooked up to a heart machine and another one to check his oxygen levels and had 2 chest x-rays one where he had to swallow dye to see if he had an obstruction as they said his heart muscles could be prodtruding into his throat so i am completely in shock he recovered so fast and he is home. He has to go back in 2 weeks but that is fine. Fingers crossed it isn't anything serious they are thinking it may be a strawberry birth mark on the inside of his throat so he may need a camera put down bless him. He also has lost quite a bit of weight but that is expected from 7lb 9oz he is now 6lb 12oz fingers crossed he hasn't lost any more when the MW comes in the week.
Sorry for the long post.
Im so delighted for you xx
I hope you have a wonderful christmas and a blessed new year!!
I have been told I can go at anytime......although if i experience any twinges that I may think is the onset of labour...I need to go in to hospital for steriod injections as bubs lungs will be under developed.... and considering all the stress that DPs Ex is putting us under (long and horrible story) Im feeling ratty to say the least!!
But its christmas....... and im trying so hard to put on a brave face for my children......I had severe PND with my 2nd child and im so scared i will get it again....Im going to think positivly and try and lose all these negative feelings:o
Dp is away shopping for stocking fillers today....he has already bought nothing that I have asked for:eek: He has bought DD another new dress (which she doesnt need:rolleyes:) but he loves getting all the kids nice pretty things.....he is like a child...ohhhhh its shiney and purdy im going to buy it...He even argued with me about not getting 2 of my nephews presents...It was an agreement between my sister and myself....we leave xmas and just concentrate on birthdays....therefore presents are affordable and only one P&P to pay for!! I have 4 kids with birthdays being the end of the year....its so not fair on her...but DP disagrees he said we buy presents not to receive them back but to brighten up the kids xmas...but I know my sister would feel obliged to buy and thats not fair on her she only has 2 kids!!
Righteo....kids last day at school today.....half day tomorrow but I think we are all going shopping as a family tomorrow, and to the cinema and to see santa........phew im exhausted thinking about it....
Oh kids asked what if I have the baby early, I said i may have to be in hospital over christmas....they had lots of questions but all answered very truthfully and the kids were happy with the answers given....so everyone is prepared and wont be too disappointed if bubs comes early...Which i dont want!Baby no 5 due 10th Feb 2010Not very MSE:money:still dont know how it happened

I just LOVE champagne, and Christmas is one of those rare excuses to splash out! Our fridge is groaning with fizz, wine and beers at the moment too!
I am going to have a can of fosters at crimbo
Its just a personal preference really, I dont feel comfortable going against guidelines in case something goes wrong, doesnt mean other people are wrong, but thats how I feel.

Sending lots of stay put vibes for you meltdown. Not what you need at Christmas.
I've just bought out pram! Went for this one, as spotted by kindof
http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_0_10751_-1__97924_10001_
I went to a Christening on Sunday and they had it there and were raving about it, which pretty much made my mind up. Liked it when I played with it in toyrs r us as well. I've bought the raincover from kiddicare to go with it as well. It's £20 but looks much sturdier than then £8 ones on ebay, and let's face it, gonna get plenty of use out of it in Manchester lolMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
EEK Gill I am going to get that as well lol
going to ask OH's mam to get it after christmas they have a pram fund.

My Mum is paying for mine as well
She said just to go ahead and get it as soon as we're ready, and we can keep it at their house aswell until our nursery is ready.
