  • For everyone trying to bring this on I found starjumps worked with me
With my first my hind waters broke Tues am no gush just a trickle. Sat in the hospital all day no pains or anything that night at about 12 I did 10/20 starjumps ( ward sister through it was really funny ) and within an hour my front waters broke, pain started and bubba was born safe and sound 5 hours later

Not medical advice just what I tried

Similarly, walking up and down stairs is also supposed to be good. Not sure starjumps are very safe - could cause injuries!!

    (blasted there's no stairs nearby :( )

Gemma - I hear ya' on going crazy. Hadn't been out since Wednesday either (other than 'round the front door to check for post) and was going a bit mad. Went to McD's for dinner tonight with DH so that deffo helped even if it wasn't very far.

We never usually 'take walks' together as it's all verrrry hilly around here, but starting when DH is off for Christmas, I am determined we are going to every single day. I've been doing some Wii Fit but real walking is prolly better for the body.

V quiet around here tonight...is Beenie off having her baby? :rotfl: :p eta: aha, she just posted ;)

  • I got fed up of the stairs I'd been going up and down the for 10 hours on and off and nothing seemed to be moving. I was fit and healthy and didn't jump too hard. I was 11 days early and the thought of being induced terrified me

Not for everyone and I'm not sure what a doctor would say but the ward sister didn't have a problem with it, if fact she laughed:o

Right think am all cought up now..

Beenie - Glad your able to get your sweep on Saturday, hope it does the trick. Oh and I think 6hrs is just wishful thinking on my behalf cos no one has ever told me that.

Albionsarah - neither me or OH have previous baby experiance so your not alone! But isnt that what antenatal classes and relatives/friends are for :D

EA - go you fixing your boiler, well done :D

Elasti - Congrats on the birth of baby Harry, so soory he isnt home yet hope its not a long wait for you xxx

neneromanova, twinkles'08, chocciebikkie and twinkle wings - welcome and congrats to you all :D

CAFCgirl - citybug is new so cant comment at this point but its had alot of intrest. The company that make it have a good rep but have never known them to make a base for their car seats. Flyte is a good bargain and folds up to a good size, but also no base available.

PP- Grr at your stupid !!!! MW! Hope DD1 gets better soon x

Gym - Yeay for more M&P bargainages. I'm planning on getting the Cabriofix, unless Maxi Cosi manage to roll out their new Pebble infant carrier befor the end of Jan.

gill - Never heard of the second graco seat you mentioned, but then graco have an annoying habit of changing the names of their products. JoJo Mamando some nice bags tho some are V. expensive! Oh and yeay for time off work, can sympathise its hard work being in a shop over Xmas.

Aless as far as am aware it wasn't placenta, well was never mentioned.

Jha - didnt over do it on my pop out hehe, but was all stuff needed doing and now am gonna sit with my feet up and watch Bones :D

Well had to phone doc and arrange sick note for work, receptionist said I should really have an appointment but as they were pretty much booked up she would have a word with doc and took details. 30 min later I got a call from them sayin I could call and collect my sicknote when I was ready and it was waiting for me :D Hows that for efficiency. Posted Xmas cards so we made the 2nd class post :D Colected my SS, big thanks to beenie made me chuckle. Quick bit of shopping for last minute pressies as my mum is visiting tomorrow then have been at IL's for last few hours. Now have two cute lil bonnets to match the cardigans from the other day, and a large bag full of baby girl clothes from her work friend, so now officially have more baby clothes than space to store them!
Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpuls
    Working on baby no2 :D
