haha, usually feels firm but mine felt squishy last week but i only managed a fingertip prod on it. Tho i've heard people saying their mw commented on cervix being firm or whatever when saying whether they were favourable for labour, so maybe squishy is a sign?
hmm now im confused:rotfl:
I had a lot of twinges whilst i was out today and have had backache for days and the dog is still acting strange around me :rotfl: i think all of this may be what has prompted it but nothing is happening well not really if you know what i mean :rotfl:
Whats the betting im still trying in 4 weeks time :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I am thinking that the cervix should be firm and long to hold the baby in and then when you are coming near to your edd the cervix will thin and soften then go on to dilate. because some ladies i have seen on american forums have to have a stitch to help hold the pregnancy as they have a thinning cervix - the stitch is then removed when they are close to their edd - iyswim
I am still trying to get my head around this baby spinning thing and why it is so bad that baby is on the right not leftall i cared about was stopping it being back to back a and stuck on my pelvis:rotfl:

Waters and boobs are still a bit leaky today, but not as bad so i guess resting is helping.
Blimey, sorry about the long whingey post, think I'm feeling sorry for myself:rolleyes:
Gemma - whinge away - you are truley an inspiration to me and i think you are doing briliantly dealing with all the frights and leaks you are having - if i can put it like that:o Heres hoping baby stays cooking untill you are happy for it to arrive - sending you stay put vibes:D0 -
Aww Gemma i wish i could take away some of those leaks and scares you keep getting, i have had nothing like that and am starting to wish i did so i could feel like i might give birth someday soon  You seem to be coping really well i don't think i could have! I moan enough as it is without added extras to cry about :rotfl:0

Soft is one-half of the cervix equation. It needs to be softening AND opening to go into labour, so you're getting there! But hate to tell you that you can walk around with a pretty soft cervix for weeks and week...it doesn't mean a whole lot
