Is it weird not to have had any BHs by almost full term? unless i've just not noticed them..

I was wondering the same thing, as I hadn't had ANY yet...I don't even know if that's what it was last night...only a guess  (but my bump didn't go hard like other people have described...it just felt like a 30 second painless tightening inside my bump)

Fish cake , i usually give my belly a prod and a wobble to wake him up , he did nt wake this morning for a while then all of a sudden he had hiccups then came the movements,
Do you not have a doppler ?

If not give matertinity a ring to be on safe side
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec
  • I didn't have any BH with either of my first two, but with my third I was having them quite a bit from about 4 weeks to go. Then with this pregnancy, I have been getting them from about 9 weeks. Just a tightening and painless. I think all pregnancies are different and I know mine have been!!

Think I had my 1st BHs last night...kept getting a tightening roughly every 10 minutes for about an hour and a half...but didn't hurt in the least. And then it stopped just before bed, so definitely wasn't anything interesting.

Oh my god, I've been getting BH's regularly since about 18 weeks or so!!! Crazy! This includes every single time I go up any stairs and every time I walk further than about 50 yards! My uterus is going to be well practised and I am going to have a very quick and easy labour :rotfl:

    Hey ladies,

I`m getting a bit worried because I havent felt baby move much lately, my last kick was about 1pm yesterday. Me and OH went swimming last night and I'm half convinced that I've done something!!!
I've been laying on the sofa and in bed and really concentrating since last night but I can't even feel her turning. I've grabbed some full fat coke and am downing it to see if that helps. Any other ideas?

When I went in for monitoring a couple fo weeks ago for the same thing the MW recommended drinking a glass of ice cold water - it worked fo me! And also to take it easy. Not sure how true it is but she also said it can be your body's way of telling you to slow down. I had just spent 2 days solid stood up baking and decorating cakes and needed to rest.

Hope LO moves fo ryou soon though, I know how worrying it is :o

EA Good luck for the scan today and dont forget we want pics :D and yay to the xmas decs the last of mine went up yesterday too now all i need to do is the xmas food shop and to wrap presents  the two bits that i hate! :rotfl:

I'll deffo have pics! They'll be on my fb at least lol. We dont have decorations, just a tree. I dont like ceiling decorations. Mainly because im 5'8 and i always walked into my mums one, and teared them down, so i refuse to have my own ones lol.

Im going to do my xmas food shop next week i think, i do online shopping. Have this weeks order coming between 4-6pm, fingers crossed it comes on time!

Also ASDA own brand breast pads are currently 2 for £3:money:

Fishcake - Try not to worry! Do as the others have suggested and then if nothing call the maternity ward. They should get you in for monitering.
My little one wasn't moving at all for ages this morning and i didn't feel her last night, and i was nearly crying, then OH put his hand on my bump and she started wiggling away. It freaked him out though cause of how much he could feel :rotfl:

Happy due date beenie!! Labour vibes coming your way!

And some labour vibes for always if your still around! :D

That is you jumping to start labour!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator :p
  • kindof and fishcake - this is going to sound bonkers but almost always gets my little man kicking, have a cup of something hot and inbetween drinking it, rest it on the top of your bump, he obviously feels and reacts to the warmth. And the serious option, if that doesn't work, ring the maternity unit and get some monitoring sorted - that kind of support is what they are there for.

som - I'll come over and rest a hot brew on your assistant managers head for you to make them uncomfortable too if you like. hope you have a less manic day to day and thank you for heads up on the sale - I need to get a couple of breastfeeding vests so I'll have a look for them on line (assume sale is on line too?)

HAPPY DUE DATE BEENIE!!! Sending you lots of labour vibes now you have everything set up, even the scary medical kit!

three - can't help with the Christmas tree, it's one thing looking for lost paperwork in the fridge which has been known around here but suspect you would have noticed a tree in there :p

and talking of fridges, am off into the kitchen now to make mince pies and speculaas biscuits and chestnut stuffing and shepherd's pie so mum thinks when she arrives this evening that I have been a domestic goddess all week and not been miserable and whiney at all.
