Hi all hope everyone is well, Did i say congratulations to Lou? can't remember. soooooo

    Congratulations

i had a busy day today, had my hospital tour today, it was pretty rotten really she just pointed to doors saying down their is surgery in their is the water birthing unit down their is the cafeteria, not exactly in depth lol physio was a hoot again though after we managed to get someone for the class, seems they forgot that we had not had any info on labor etc, and never organized anything.

Then i went a little nuts with Xmas presents and bought mum a flat screen and gave it too her, but i forgot to keep money back for the cars MOT so god only knows how i'm gonna pay for that?

    Off to catch up....

EA Good luck for the scan today and dont forget we want pics :D and yay to the xmas decs the last of mine went up yesterday too now all i need to do is the xmas food shop and to wrap presents  the two bits that i hate! :rotfl:

Som that sounds like a nightmare! Was a bit silly of them doing that with your keys  I mean what if there had of been an emergency for goodness sake! I thought the same with DD1 she was due on the 13th March but she eventually turned up on the 19th :rotfl: I love March now though coz something is always happening what with mothers day and easter being around the same time as our birthdays :D

I was exhausted yesterday which is why i was so quiet :( Didnt sleep at all the night before just felt sick constantly :( Ended up falling asleep on the sofa about 6am and then the alarm went off at 7  I fell asleep so early last night :rotfl:
I did manage to get some of the baby clothes washed though gonna finish off the rest of the today :D

Got my friends DD coming this afternoon to stay the night, all three of them have been nagging to have a sleepover since i first moved in and i told them they had to wait until the house was sorted so thought it was best to do it before the baby arrives rather than after :rotfl::rotfl:

Speaking of baby arriving 25 days to go :eek::eek::eek:
  • Hey ladies,

I`m getting a bit worried because I havent felt baby move much lately, my last kick was about 1pm yesterday. Me and OH went swimming last night and I'm half convinced that I've done something!!!
I've been laying on the sofa and in bed and really concentrating since last night but I can't even feel her turning. I've grabbed some full fat coke and am downing it to see if that helps. Any other ideas?

Ooo, was a bit quiet last night :).

HAPPY DUE DATE BEENIE!! :T  AND BIG LABOUR VIBES FOR YOU & ALWAYS!!

Think I had my 1st BHs last night...kept getting a tightening roughly every 10 minutes for about an hour and a half...but didn't hurt in the least. And then it stopped just before bed, so definitely wasn't anything interesting. Yesterday would've been ideal, too, because DH gets 2 weeks paternity and then his office is closed after CHristmas, so really would've maximised his time off! :p OMG I can't believe it's now less than 2 wks til Christmas. I almost just shouldn't bother with Christmas cards since I STILL haven't sorted them...(will never make it to the USA in time).

    Hi fishcake

Some chocolate, and the coke....I think lying on your left is meant to do something too. I can't see that swimming would have done anything to the baby, it is usually one of the most recommended forms of exercise for pregnancy.

If you don't feel any movement in the next half an hour after drinking coke and eating chocolate...give the maternity ward a ring and they will get you sraight in to monitor you and baby....
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

I got a leaflet from my midwife which says you should do the following if you haven't felt the baby move as normal.

    • lie down on your left side for an hour
    • have a hot or cool drink
    • don't watch TV, read or become otherwise distracted
if you don't feel anything then give your midwife or unit at the hospital a call (whichever numbers you've been given to call)

hope you feel baby move soon

Try to relax and not worry, as tensing up may not help! Do some deep breathing while lying on your side. And also just remember that baby might just be asleep and/or in a position where you can't feel it :). I'm sure you'll feel something soon! (just give the coke/choc time to take effect)

Is it weird not to have had any BHs by almost full term? unless i've just not noticed them..

I finally got around to writing Christmas cards yesterday - then went to get stamps & they cost £9!! thinking i might stick to festive emails in future!
