Im hoping not i dont have hospital bag packed, and i still havent washed all of bumps clothes n bits n pieces im really not ready at least not today :eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I feel absolutly fine though was a bit sicky this morning hoping that clears off sharpish though as i only have 1 tablet yet and the doctors cant do me a prescription unless i see a doctor coz it came from the hospital and they cant see me til monday :rolleyes:

My mate is making it worse before she went to work she was walking round the house singing 'i think theres a baby coming soon' :rolleyes::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hey,

This probably sounds wierd & is hard to explain but should i feel different before i go into labour?
I know the obvious stuff but i'm 39 weeks now & i guess i expected to feel differently in some way, like there'd be some kind of sign that baby was gonna come soon. and i don't feel any different at all at the moment. it's getting to the point where it feels like there's no way baby's gonna come in next couple of weeks otherwise i'd have some idea.
Or could i just feel the same right up to labour starting?

For example, OH said something this morning about thinking she was gonna come next tuesday (even I don't know where that came from!) and i just laughed cos I was convinced if she was gonna arrive in 5 days, i'd somehow feel differently now to how i did last week for example.

I know this sounds silly & i can't really explain it properly, just thought i'd ask anyway!

maz, I've often wondered the same thing!! I think, from reading others' experience on here, that there's no way of knowing when it's going to happen until it finally does! Really annoying, I know!

Hello everyone

Sorry I've been such an erratic poster but we're halfway through moving and you ladies (and gent) all talk so fast I can't keep up. Im sure I was on page 150-?last time I posted LOL

Just an update from me really and massive thankyou to everyone for being very supportive and positive lovely mummies to be (and daddy to be).

I had my 12 week scan only today in my old district.No bloods done as when I move (tomorrow) and get my new midwife etc, they are going to be done again so they didnt bother....
Was amazing! I thought I was 13 weeks today but apparently am 13+5, and due date has now been put to the 12th June. Had two dates so far but she's said this one shouldn't change....

My Dad (who was with me) called it my date of confinement LOL Told him to cut out his 1970's jabber immediately!

Even asked (very politely for fear of angering the sonographer) at what stage I could find out sex, and she said do you want to know then, and I said yes whenever anyone can tell me, so she told me!!!! Was so excited, didnt expect that. She seemed very confident, even showed me where she was looking for it all, and just said I'd get confirmation of that at my 20 week scan....

Still feeling a bit sick, but its easing. Didnt help that sonographer was vigourously shaking the probe over my bladder during scan to get baby to move and then stay still so she could get measurement at neck....
My baby is non compliant.... just like Daddy!

So massive sigh of relief was convinced there wouldnt be anything there, or not heartbeat but saw some amazing images, skeleton, ribs, bottom of feet, got a wave,saw mouth opening and closing.....just really breath taking.....

Glad the scan went well

thats a surprise she could see the sex , as its not even sure at 17 weeks ( this is when i had a scan to do with my cyst i had and the sono said then there was no way to be 100% then ) , she has a 50/50 chance of being right ( so she may just be lucky ), so really i wouldnt be 100% what she said until ur 20 week scan , , dont forget babies are born both and then turn to a boy or girl at about 13 - 15 weeks ( well i think thats what i read somewhere)

i know :mad: nevermind.

i guess i'd just like a sign of some sort, even a false alarm, just to make it feel like i am gonna end up with a baby soon!

CAFC - so pleased your scan went well. Sounds like it was an amazing experience for you. Hope my 20 week scan tomorrow is as good!

Just been shopping - found the nipple cream in my local boots thanks Gymfiend. Was much easier once I knew what I was looking for! Got a few nice t shirt dresses as well but might take some of them back as I think I overdid it a bit lol

Also managed to get a few things crossed off my to do list!

She gave us a pretty good explanation of how she can see it, but yeah I'm not decking out in blues and browns just yet.....LOL

Was kinda nice though coz Im hoping for a boy xx:rotfl:
