Morning all,
i was just looking at H & B for some bits and came across this
Holland & Barrett - Chelated Zinc Tablets (25mg)
Zinc is an essential mineral to human nutrition and body processes involved with physical and mental development, protection and healing. Zinc is found in every cell of the body and it is necessary for the formation of the cells' nuclei. Zinc is also involved in the synthesis of protein and in the action of many enzymes. Zinc possibly hase the biggest role of all minerals in reproduction and pregnancy. This mineral is vital for the baby's neurological development. A pregnant woman needs at least 20mg of zinc a day. Lack of zinc is linked to pregnancy-related depression and postnatal depression.SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS AND VEGANS.

Could be something they wack on there just to 'sell' the tablets to you...no idea personally - worth asking MW about especially if you're at risk for PND? eta: some Googling has found a few random articles, but nothing solidly proven. But hey it never hurts to have a good multivitamin to keep your strength up!
Beenie - your list looks good! Maybe some hairbands/clips and lipbalm. And cotton wool for baby, like you said.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Ooh thanks i thought i'd missed loads of obvious stuff off the bag list lol. Will add hair bobbles and a little pot of vaseline i use that on my lips anyway. Don't think i have any muslins, maybe one or two amongst all the bedding.
nikkit i've never heard of that but i might ask my mw on Thurs about it cos i feel it's likely my blues could develop into pnd, trying not to think like that though but need to be realistic.
Need to go shopping today and assume it's my last chance to before baby comes so need to get enough to last a good few weeks just in case.
Want to get some normal food made up for the freezer, just a few days worth... I really want to make up some mash and freeze it, can you do that? If so, how?!
I seriously hate hate hate peeling potatoes lol, and we have mash quite often cos it's DS favourite kind of potato. So if i can have a few meals worth made up already it'd feel like less of a chore to make dinner!0 -
yes, you can freeze mash just fine!
just make it as normal and put in a container and then freeze. Easy-peasy. If you're going to do cheese, I wouldn't freeze it with cheese but add that when you're ready to eat.

Oooh thanks, i wasn't sure if it'd ruin it by freezing, or if i had to freeze it in little balls or something, like that gross frozen stuff you buy pre-made. _pale_
I don't do cheese on mash, only have it with gravy type meals, lots of butter yumm0 -
Before i head out shopping, has anyone seen any good nappy offers anywhere? Otheriwse i'll just buy at Morrys. I'm getting Pampers, cos i hated Huggies with DS even though that was a long time ago, i hold a grudge :rotfl:0

Hi all, another dreadfully sore night for me, mainly because OH kept stealing the covers then he wanted the bit of bed i was on, followed by him trying to push me out the bed as he'd decided in his sleep i was on his side of the bed
One of us will need to go in DS's room tonight or i may have to kick him where it hurts lol
Beenie my mum freezes mash all the time for my dad as he likes his with loads of milk/butter, it's a bit of a flaff how she dose it but at meal times it's so easy. she makes it as usual then puts scoops in a container so they are not touching and freezes then once froze she puts them in a bag, repeat till all the mash is in single scoop blocks. that way when she makes dinner she just takes out how many scoops dad wants and lets them defrost and blasts them in the micro, Plus it means if the kids get hungry it's quick to micro them and give them a chop 10min and dinner is done.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j
