A Girl next door to my MIL didn't know till her waters broke for labor, She was on a diet as she was a big girl and thought allot of what she felt was just her body reacting to the beans and pulses(wind lol). When her waters broke she was at the diet class and a women said I thought you knew you were PG:confused: lol Off she went in an ambulance and after a slow labor nearly 48hrs i think she had a boy 7lb something and home within 3 days.

Everyone on the estate chipped in and got her stuff for the baby, i still can't believe she didn't know until labor.

at least that makes a bit more sense...this woman they just showed wasn't big at all (maybe size 14?) and had 2 previous kids!! Where does the baby go if there's no bump? So bizarre... I just can't imagine it - especially with all the kicking and wiggling baby does inside!!

My cousin was a size 16, and was slowly putting on weight. One day she went into lbour and gave birth without knowing she was pregnant, just thought she had been eating to much recently lol. Already had one little girl.

I was saying to OH the other day if i didn't know i was pregnant and saw my tummy move the way it does i would freak right out! :rotfl:

I did read a story about a woman, (in take a break i think, years ago) she was really slim, (maybe a 8 or a 10) didn't know she was pregnant at all, still had periods and didn't put on weight, and one day she just went into labour. Couple of years later it happened again, then a couple of years later it happened again, this time it was twins! Turns out the babies had been hiding in her pelvis and/or ribs! She then had a hystorectomy (sp?)

I think people just assume its wind.
And it easy to get through the first 20 weeks 32b, i didn't feel any kicks or movement until after 20 weeks.

Only pregnancy symptoms i had as such was no periods, horrible sickness and i was putting on weight. But maybe i could of been very ill and stressed and hungry? lol

Sometimes she kicks so hard though it makes me twinge, like she's kicked a nerve or something lol

    Hello All,

I am now 21 weeks, baby kicks pratically all the time, I just love the feeling and get a right panic on if baby doesn't kick for a few hours!

Question, going out on saturday night (hubby's chrismas work do) and wondered if its safe to eat haggis while pregnant? And is there anything else I should avoid at a christmas meal?

That would depend on the chef lol
Mind the cheeses as some are not very good when PG avoid Pate too. home made mayonnaise for the raw egg but the Jar stuff is fine. Can't see why haggis would be avoided.

I'm sat here stewing on something, it's really hacking me off so i just thought i'd get it off my chest here. I'll try not to make it too long lol.

Basically, sister got with a bloke who used to live in my street, him and his then gf and her kids used to torture me, i was prob an easy target for the chavscum and the biggest thing was when he tried to set fire to my house through the letterbox, i had a net curtain on the door window but luckily it had a coating on meaning it just melted and didn't spread elsewhere.

So as you can imagine, i was not best pleased to find out my sister had met this idiot and was seeing him, and even less impressed when she got pregnant to him!! They were on and off through her pregnancy, he was messing her about with his ex etc, BUT he used to give her money, bought her an old car, bought loads of nice stuff for the baby etc, although he is a waster and a criminal

Because of all this, we all kinda drifted apart, i still can't believe she got with him in the first place, but when her son was born prem i did all i could as in lifts to hospital although i was working full time, so was limited. She certainly didn't need any financial help, she's always been ok for money compared to me, even though i was working.

This was over a yr ago, and recently mother & sis fell out cos my sis now doesn't see this bloke, and mother didn't help her when she moved house etc, so a build up of crap from over the years meant a big row was always brimming anyway. I should mention when i had DS long before all this, i got no help from my sis except some babysitting when he was older, but i was 17 and moving into a house starting totally from scratch, sis was with her DD's dad and he was on good money when she had her DD so needed no help then either.

Anyway, fast forward to now, and she gave me some baby stuff and took money for it although her ex bought it all. I didn't mind this but i've since been given duplicates (not as nice, admittedly) for free from a girl i don't even know, and i feel like asking sis to give me my money back and take the stuff because i can't afford to pay for stuff i don't need!! My ex isn't giving me a penny, but all this stuff i've paid her for was bought for her.

I forced my mother to help me do some painting a few weeks ago, and keep getting comments from sis that she never helped her, and tonight i mentioned mother would give me money towards the pushchair and so she started saying mother didn't buy anything for her DS when he was born. The way i see it, she was moaning at one point that her ex kept giving her money!! I'm in a different situation and my ex has left me completely skint and isn't buying anything, this is the ONLY reason my mam said she'd chip in towards buggy, if my ex was still here i prob wouldn't have even hear from her in months.

And to add to this, i've been stressing about what's gonna happen at Xmas. It generally goes without saying that we spend it at my sisters, but i told her mother had been guilting me by saying she'd be on her own and that their falling out was making me feel torn even though i'm the one who will have just given birth!!
So my sister casually mentions that she's going to our estranged 'fathers' house for Xmas lunch, only cos i asked - she wasn't even going to mention it. So now i'm spending Xmas on my own with my new baby and my DS just because she's decided to bend over backwards for this man who is nothing like a father to us and never has been!!! We hadn't even seen him for years and years, she's been back in touch with him a while but he's never bothered with me.

So to summarise what i'm moaning about,
1 - I'm being made to feel bad for getting a bit of help with the painting, even though that help did not come hassle-free and i had to practically demand it.
2 - That she keeps comparing our situations, but insinuating that she 'had it harder' because my mother had offered to give something towards the pram (she hasn't and probs won't now though) even though she has always had plenty of money from her exes.
3 - That she kisses fathers arris even though he's done ball all for any of us, and when she mentions him to me always says "my dad", why not just say 'dad' i'm not interested in him in the slightest you don't need to emphasise the fact he's not bothered about me!!
4 - That she made plans for Xmas without telling me, even though she knew i assumed i would be going to her house.

She even got arsey once cos my mam said she'd buy DS's school shoes, questioning why she wasn't doing the same for her DD. I've never had any child maintenance for my DS but her ex is very well paid - my DS's shoes are from Tesco, her DD wears £40+ shoes???

I seriously needed to vent this, i am on the verge of saying all of this to her, cos i feel like she's trying to make out i've got it so easy, when i've always been on my own and never had a penny from a man unlike her!!! She's had every single car bought for her that she's owned, she ALWAYS seems to get everything handed to her, yet i've worked so hard for the little i have. I just sound bitter and jealous don't i? I'm not but i'm fed up of the snidey comments and wish she'd realise what being on your own really is!!!!
