I've been on MSN with my mam panicking about how i've only got 19 days til my due date but i'm convinced she's going to come earlier and how i've still got soooooooooo much to do!!!

So she's coming to help me wallpaper tomorrow :D Well, she'll paste and i'll put it up, sounds good to me lol.

Then i've got my swine flu jab tomorrow afternoon and am preparing myself for feeling ill for a few days like some have said they did. Jha did you feel ill?? I don't have time to be ill, it's bad enough being so tired!

No beenie - just a very sore arm for a couple of days. If you sleep on your left have the jab in your right arm sweetie:p I had the Pandermix vaccine (there are two diff types)

I suppose there is the view that as they're dealing with pregnant ladies everyday, sometimes they forget how important it is for the individual they're speaking to.

I'm not for a second saying this excuses their actions, but could give some reasoning for there actions.

However, I'm intending to attend all the midwife/scan appointments, so if anything does happen I'll ensure the right people are made aware. Mrs AB has Baby AB to look after, so I'll deal with all such nonsense :D

Also, Baby AB wanted to say hello and is waving to you all in the 12 weeks scan (or maybe about to suck his/her thumb as Mrs AB seems to think ;))

Aww lovely pic mr ab. Definatley some thumb sucking going on :T Heres halfpint at 11+2 sucking its thumb:D 11weeks2dayssleepingwiththumbinmout.jpg

Heres to hoping you guys dont get any nonsense to have to deal with:D my oh has been to every appointment and is excited / delighted and has done the complaining for me too.

    Morning all,

Kindof my due date was changed at my 12 week scan, I just never got around to getting someone to update on here, so we're due on the same day! Though I've got a real feeling he's going to arrive on the 9th for some reason?!

After much chatting with the other half last night I'm going to call & try to get an appointment at the hospital with my consultant asap to discuss the possibility of home birth :) Thanks for the links ladies, I showed him some of the sites and lots of the positive experiences from other ladies & he seemed quite convinced by it, provided I can get the all clear from the Drs. I'm really excited at the thought now, I know it's not a forgone conclusion and won't ever be as I could end up in hospital, but it's nice to feel like I've regained some control as before now OH was just agreeing with Drs and I felt like I'd be pushed into a birth I don't want.

Thanks for that info Bear (I know I didn't ask for it, but made v interesting reading!) :)

Mr AB - prepare yourself for boredom at the midwife appointments! Some of them are so mundane, esp. the early on ones which I found were just form filling and lectures on breast is best. It's lovely that you want to be there - my OH only comes to consultant appointments (though he did comment this was pointless as the last one consisted of 'How are you feeling?' 'Fine thanks' 'Ok, we'll see you in 3 months' so not sure he'll come again) and to scans, mostly because it's a pain for him to get time out of work and to drive back and forth to hospital, and equally because I'm not bothered, though think sometimes it would be good to have someone there to ask the things I forget, so I'm sure you'll be a very useful to Mrs AB :)

Baby is wriggling around like mad this morning, makes me stay in bed for ages watching him!! Lazy moo that I am, getting up now for a wander around town with my mum then home for the Tesco man & the carpet man to come, wahoo, can't wait to get the carpet sorted :D

    xxx

maybebaby - I saved some of the info on calcium from the last time it was discussed:
Here are some linkies for you to look at when you get back:

interesting stuff about calcium and pain generally

this one's a bit kookie sounding, but interesting!

this one says calcium is one of the reasons why RLT is effective

here's the one that I got the dosages from

    Love Weezl x

    here's weezl's original post: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=19307415&postcount=2587

So I was planning on doing about 2 tablets a day from about week 38, then doing the mega doses of around 4 tablets on onset of labor, to be topped up every 2-3 hours.

eta: there's quite a lot of conflicting info out there about whether to get calicum with magnesium. Some links say magnesium is good for labour, but other ones say that it causes the cervix to close & is actually used to stop pre-term labour. SugarSpun's doctor told her that magnesium stops labour, so it's quite confusing. I chose to get my calcium without magnesium, but it's really up to you to make your own decisions.

I had ordered the Mosaic Air (£150) from Bambino Direct but i cancelled my order cos they're crap, but i'm sooooo glad i did cos i bought this one on ebay for £45 inc raincover & bag in Choc and it's immaculate, even the wheels look barely used! :money:
Can't believe i was so close to spending an extra £100 for the same thing

Thanks jha, not sure which one i'm getting. They told me they had no injections left and to ring back late next week (they said that last week!) so i said, well i'm 37 weeks now so i don't want to risk feeling ill in my last week of pregnancy do i?! Anyway she rang me back and they magically got me an appt for today, lol.
