  • Happy Friday MSE people,
pregnancy question! I feel as though I have lost my appetite since becoming pregnant and I don't really feel hungry. Like today the only thing I've had is a bit of beef stroganoff (and it's 5:15pm). I still take my pregnancy vitamins but is it doing the baby major harm if I'm not eating much? When I am hungry the only thing I feel like is bread and cheese.

charlie - congrats on the birth of Charlotte!

redstar - pleased you found your wedding ring! Reminds me I found the bank paperwork I'd lost at the weekend - I'd put it all in the box I'd put it on when I opened the post and then moved upstairs to the kitchen but hadn't unpacked!

fernlie - thanks for the info about the asda eco range. did get some naturecare stuff but it's nowhere near a quid each! will be using naturecare nappies until he is big enough for his bumgenius (which are still waiting to be washed!)

beenie - we very nearly got this travel system but inlaws gave us some cash so we were able to get my covetted maclaren one, I think it looks pretty good, I'd go for it at £45!

som - sorry your doggy is ill again, hope he's better now and you get a decent nights sleep tonight. and you've reminded me again I completely failed to get to sainsbury's. bloomin preggers brain! hope your doc appointment this morning was all good

naomim - congrats too! hope your little one is growing well after the early arrival!

lou - sorry to hear about your cs but at least you know now and have time to prepare for it, not to mention you'll know exactly when your baby will be here!

saw my lovely midwife yesterday - tummy spot on, heartbeat lovely, my bp miraculously still (just!) staying below the magic 140/90 and little man 3/5ths engaged. Have another appointment with her on 2nd for exam and possible sweep and if not sweep booked in for Dec 10th. Hospital policy for induction is 41+5 so as she said one way or another he'll be here by Dec 16th! I never did ask to get my due date changed from 4th to 3rd Dec but doesn't change the list - I think I did some bad maths right at the start!!!!

OMG- the top 3 on the list probably aren't there now which means I am now 5th :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

well, unlike you, I'm permanently hungry! However, in your last few posts, you've been a bit stressed about the whole situation if I'm not mistaken? Stress can do all sorts to your appetite so it's probably not unlikely that you'd lose your appetite a bit.

You're probably not doing a great deal of harm (after all, some folk eat but can't keep anything down!) and you're taking your vitamins so you and baby should be fine.

As for the bread and cheese thing, your body is probably just wanting the carbs from the bread for energy and the fat and calcium from the cheese. It's funny how your body tends to crave foods that have the nutrients you might be lacking. Clever body :) for what it's worth, near enough all I ate for a week was cheese on toast with pickled onions!

If you're worried though, see your GP, if nothing else, to reassure you that everything is ok.

PS. On the morning sickness front, you may just be lucky. I felt queasy from 6 weeks when I didn't eat enough but it faded almost completely by 10 weeks. I think being symptomless is fine, it's only a worry if you've had some then suddenly lose them/experience a lot of pain/bleeding etc.

sorry, I've gone a bit rambly!

    Hello everyone

Scan went fine although I knew the 13wks that the midwife reckened was wrong anyway I had myself more along the 10wk mark,,,,according to scan I am 8+3!!! I am a bit gutted it is not nearer the 12wk mark, but on the other hand I am pleased that the baby will be 15mths old not 14mths old when the new little one arrives:)

Could someone please update the list for me my due date is now 29th June

    Mel x
