babies have a lovely smell when they are born or maybe it's just me, personally I have just bathed them in warm water and then finally some bath baby stuff. Just go easy on it, only a pea sized amount is needed IMO. Thanks for the posts about forthcoming grandchild and freebies etc, any more comments always welcome, been 18 or so years since I last became a mum!!To love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0

I'm confooooooooooooosed. I ordered a travel system for £150. But heard bad things about Bambino Direct so cancelled my order and have been refunded.
However, someone is selling this for £45 BIN on eBay.

It's the same pushchair i ordered except the eBay one is Chocolate like the link above.... Not sure what i think of the colour - any opinions?? I'm having a girl!
Also, the £150 didn't include raincover or changing bag and the £45 one does, so saves another £30 or so...0 -
It's scarily quiet in here!!0

Well popped by Sainsburys on way home from aqua and picked up some goodies, fair bit for me breast pads, maternity pads, nipple cream and the like. Got some eco nappy bags to match the nature nappies I'll be using and some other odds and ends to use here and there. Also was dead chuffed because the moisturiser I use was on a 3rd off too hehe. Well hot choc and bed for me, back at work tomorrow, boo!Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Hiya all!
Quick update - they were indeed the start of labour - Charlotte Rose was both at 4.03am yesterday - 18th November, weighed 8lb 1 ozs.
I got my home birth in a birth pool, hypno birthing worked for extremely well, had a great labour 7 and a half hours long deep in hypnosis and gas and air for last 20 mins only which helped me control my breathing for pushing - all in all a great labour :-) The midwife tried to go home at one point as she thought I was too relaxed to actually be having strong contractions lol! I listened nearly non stop to my Ipod and the hypnosis tapes all the way through. Made it very boring for OH who fell asleep lol!
Had a natural third stage - noticed Fishcake mentioned this. It was more painful than with DS1 and DS2 but worth it. delivered it sat on the loo into a plastic bin bag lol - sorry if TMI!
Congrats to fattyboo and GISI!0 -

Hi All,
I was a member of this thread round about June time but I'm afraid I deviated off to netmums.:o I was due 14th Nov and just checked and I seem to have fallen off the EDD list.
Anyhoo, Jessie Elizabeth was born 28th Oct weighing 4lb 2oz. I had pre-eclampsia and hypertension so she was born by emergency section. All is well and we came home after she had 4 days in SCBU and I had 8 days on the ward.
