ugh, have eaten far too much junk today (and McD's planned for supper out of sheer desperation :o)! couple of biscuits, bag of crisps and then there was some spare cheesecake set out in the communal kitchen. In hindsight obviously wouldn't have had the biscuits if I had known cheesecake was going to turn up! Anyway, feel gross now and guilty for not giving baby healthier stuff.

The first number is how many weeks someone is pregnant and the second refers to days, so they are 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant HTH.

No nappage yet as OH came in from work and we were chatting and he moaned cos apart from toast this am and a satsuma hadnt eaten anything, so just warmed up a cornish pasty to keep me going till dinner. OH is being nice and cooking a turkey roast :D Lucky me.

That they are 8 weeks and 2 days pg hth so i am 35 weeks and 4 days pg

I had my first cup of RLT today, i had misplaced it so that's why i haven't had any yet. I liked it, but after bubs went mad kicking me, my tummy tightened and it felt like when you are going to start your period. Hopw that doesn't happen again after i have a cuppa.

  • Hey all,
Well I had to see the midwife today because I had a letter come through. I`m 20+5 today whoop whoop.
So I got there, took a seat and someone took me off for a quick wee check and checked my blood pressure. No problems. Then after another wait I saw a midwife who asked me where my blood results were as she couldn't find them. I said that's because I hadn't had any which got me a very dirty look lol hilarious. Anyhoo que some more waiting to see the doctor/consultant. Same thing happens, wheres your blood tests etc. Once we'd moved on he checked the fetal heartbeat which was kinda cool. And then said come back at 36 weeks!!! Is that right? I had impressions of seeing them every month from now on, but apparently not. I`m begining to think about maybe just having a homebirth but doing it all myself. Stupid NHS.
    Any thoughts???

  • Ahh Help!!!!!! Think I've lost my wedding ring!!!!!!
My rings have been a bit loose since losing weight, but I haven't resized them as I know I'm going to put on weight with the pregnancy. DH emailed me at work yesterday to ask me if my engagement ring had got too tight as he had noticed I wasn't wearing it yesterday morning. Cue total panic as I hadn't noticed it was missing. After about 10 minutes of meltdown, he emailed again to let me know that he had actually found it on the living room floor when he had hoovered (thought it wasn't like him to be so observant!). He gave me a lecture on either getting them resized or taking them off for the time being. Anyway, I got home last night and the first thing he said to me was to put my ring on a chain or something. So I looked down and I no longer had my wedding ring on - arrgh! I didn't say anything as I was hoping it was in the car or something. I've looked now and can't find it - I feel dreadful and I'm dreading admitting that I've lost it. I feel sick...

oh no redstar that's awful *big hugs* I'd be devasted if I lost mine. Really hope you find it. Check the pockets of anything you've worn recently incase it's slipped off in one of them, and scour the floor in every room. Keeping everything crossed.

Just got back from my 16 week midwife appointment. Did anyone else find this a total waste of time? She took my blood pressure and took blood for quad test. She said it was too early to listen to heartbeat when I asked, which I'm gutted about coz have to wait until scan on 11th December, or until I feel movements to check that baby is ok now. Quite tempted to buy a doppler off ebay so I can listen myself now.

She didn't even ask if I had any worries or concerns, or how I've been. Whole thing just felt really rushed :(

Mine was fairly similar though she did have a listen to the heartbeat. In total I was only in there for about 5 minutes. Then she told me that she won't see me again until I'm 28 weeks - 16 weeks to 28 weeks seems like a huge gap. I know this is my second, but I definitely saw the midwife more often last time (about 5 years ago now) - this didn't exactly fill me with confidence, just hope I don't have any problems.

Hello SJ  – sorry just popped on this am to check up on everyone and then went into town.

Kindof – huge hugs to you – I am amazed the degree of bump / pelvic / back pain we can have and beanies are all still ok. It is only natural to worry before a scan – I have one on the 9th dec for growth and presentation (36weeks) so we can pass the time until then together. HTH
And wow on saving over £800 on stopping smoking – I wonder what the total will be by the time elliot – bump arrives:D

    Hugs nikkit :grouphug:

Yay for a great scan yorkygal – sorry to hear about the cyst hoping they can sort it out for you. Its amazing how much these bubs move at the dating scan isn’t it?:D

Fishcake – that doesn’t sound right at all. I have checks every 2 or 3 weeks with mw in docs and then additional appts at the hosp. Each time they check bp and wee – do you think she might have meant 26 week. How are they supposed to check for the markers for growth probs, bubs hb, infections etc:confused:

Redstar – huge hugs – sometimes they fall off when you are pulling clothes on and off so maybe where you get changed or the loo. Also I lost mine and found it in a drawer wherer I had put in some ironed t shirts and it had slipped inbetween? Check the bin (soz I know it is a bit gross) and the washing machine. HTH ooo - and the hoover bag - he might have hoovered up the one without noticing it
