Aww GISI bless you. Hope you are ok. I would totally be the same, must be even harder to read when you are so close to meeting your little one too.
Well I'm just going to go to sleep now. I'm totally shattered. Prob won;t sleep well cos i'm so full but I can't stay awake any longer!
Oh yeah, and my belly button got weird this week - had looked bigger and more open and stretched before but not it looks all closed up and weird. Hope this isn't the start of it "outing"!!!0 -
re- fundal height, when I was PG with DD my midwife told me that their team don't bother doing it as it has been proven to be inaccurate. I only had it done once as I had a student midwife, and they still have to do it for their training, so my midwife asked if I minded. What I'm trying to say in a round about way, is I would try not to worry, as even though your carers may think it's important, it is a practice that is fading out so obviously not very accurate. HTH. Good luck with it all, it's so confusing when all you get is conflicting advice! Grr!0

Am up for work
Booo! Don't wanna go, had a really sore hip yesterday afternoon and dreading that coming back. Mothercare is heaving on Saturdays too so not like I can take it easy either. Feeling a little down atm, no real reason, altho it might have to do with apart from me and OH no one else seems quite so intrested in me being PG. I'm tres excited but have no one to share with, even at work I get overlooked by staff and customers. Oh I don't think am explaining my self too well so am just gonna shut up lol. Really disturbed sleep last night so probably explains why I'm not functioning too well!

Hiya Som, just wanted to say hello & say we're all interested in your pregnancy
I totally get what you mean though, I think it's tough for others to share the excitement other than really close family (my friends really aren't too interested!), try not to worry about it & think that you get to share all the loveliness and excitement with OH
Hope work's not too bad today hun, xx
SJ funny you should mention belly buttons, OH asked me last night if mine would 'emerge' & I was going to come on & ask if it happens to everyone? Yours sounds strange!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
36 weeks today!! :eek::eek:
My belly button hasn't popped out btw0 -
fundal measurements....I never had this done with ds1 or ds2...but with ds3 they did them at each later appt. On one occasion I think I was 38/39wks they sent me up for a scan because I was measuring small...hmmmm 9lb 1oz baby I don't think there is a problem there. I think this time I am going to refuse them, or at least if they try to send me on a waste of time journey to hospital I will refuse to go! ds2 was my smallest baby and he was 3wks early but still weighed 8lb 4oz!!!
My belly button has never popped out with any of them (thankfully;))
Som - I know what you mean about no-one taking an interest...dh doesn't even take much interest when I am pregnant:rolleyes:

Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Yours sounds strange!
Thanks for that!! Ha ha!! It is a bit strange though. It's always been quite small, dunno if that has anything to do with it!?
Som try not to worry about other people not being excited. I feel like that too about a few of my close friends / family and I wish they were more interested. I'm sure they all will be once baby is here.
Labour vibes for GISI, charliedavis, fattybooboo and boogellyboo if you are here and all still need them!!!!
Beenie wow on 36 weeks!!0 -
Morning ladies,
Hope we are all well
I cursed myself this morning my friend asked me how i was feeling and i said that i was still feeling sick but touch wood hadnt been sick, ten mins later i was saying hello to the bottom of the toilet bowl again  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Think im going to keep my mouth shut in future :rotfl:
Som, SJ is right we are all interested so just tell us everything instead
My belly button has never popped out with any of mine neither
Re fundal measurements i have had mine done with all 3 pregnancies and it is actually how they picked up on the polyhydramniosis with DD2.
Someone i know was actually taken in for a c-sect purely based on fundal measurements a few weeks ago  She did give birth to a 10lb odd baby at 36 weeks though could you imagine if they had left her :eek::eek:
Having a huge thunderstorm here at the mo, hoping it stops soon though coz i need to go to the shop and i really dont want to go out in that :rotfl:
Apart from that DD2 has a temperature and is being really clingy so cant see me getting much done today
Labour vibes to those who need/want them

Awww Som, that seems weird as you'd think the customers would think it was cute to be served by a pregnant lady in Mothercare! But we all care, trust me!! I know you had a long battle to get pregnant so possibly some of the journey has worn you out *hugs*.
Yay for 36 weeks, Beenie - I'm 34 today,
Rude awakening, as DH had left for work and phoned my mobile (which I keep by the bed for this purpose). Reception in the flat is v spotty so it died and then he phoned the landline - meaning I had to jump out of bed and make a beeline for the living room!! Not easy when pregnant!!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Yay happy 36 weeks Beenie and happy 34 weeks Aless!!
Thanks for all the fundal height info everyone, I am deffo thinking this hospital scan is a waste of time but will still go and have it done now its booked in I think... just in case.
Som, sorry to hear no one seems excited about ur pregnancy, try and ignore them and just get excited with your OH. Hope work goes ok today.
I had an inny belly button and mine is still an inny, however it is a more shallow 'hole' now IYSWIM and sometimes when I get a braxton hicks one side of it has a funny bit of skin stick up to one side I guess where its getting stretched, haha!!
Hope GISI, Charliedavis or boogelly might have some news!! I am still waiting and still nothing really happening, booooooo!! xxBaby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0
