awww, jha sorry to hear about your brief moment of panic, but glad it is sorted now! Just remember that they CANNOT do anything without your CONSENT. So even if they're going after you with a scapel, you could still refuse to have a c-section at 36 weeks!!
I think we all get a bit wrapped up and need to remember that we DO have choices in our pregnancies, ladies. No medical professional can you what to do - they can give their professional opinion & advice, but at the end of the day it's YOUR decision. I am not advocating ignoring medical advice, before anyone jumps on me here, but I think it's important to remember that you do hold the power to make your own choices in pregnancy and birth!! Please please keep this in mind when speaking to MWs/consultants, as I think a lot of us get scared we're losing control...you always have control, remember!!
(and SJ, going overdue does not equal no homebirth. MWs are obliged to attend a homebirth if you say you want it - weezl's favorite site might give you some more info: http://www.homebirth.org.uk/overdue.htm. Again, you can take the advice to get an induction/whatever but ultimately it's still your decision!)top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Thanks aless, I know I can refuse to have an induction even if I go 14 days over but I also know they aren't too happy to still attend HB after 14 days over. Hopefully I won't get to that stage though! Or if I do I may be begging to be induced so I guess I'll just have to wait and see at the time! Thanks though0

I'm still here- again! I did sleep quite well though so feeling quite human today, and for some inknown reason I feel a bit more positive that I might start before induction etc. Going to crack on with being on all fours and go for a little walk today and see where that gets me.Sarah_Joanne wrote: »Som I want a pumpkin outfit for baby next year!! I wonder if I can find one reduced somewhere now. I’m already planning on getting Christmas outfits reduced in January to put away for next year.
Sainsburys have some gorgeous pumpkin outfits reduced to £2 (from about £10, I think). My local one only had teeny sizes so I resisted but might be worth a look.
JHA- that most have been scary! Glad your CM got it sorted for you. I don't think people think before they open their mouths sometimes- scaring heavily pregnant women is not good!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Oh completely! Like I know I think RIGHT NOW that I wouldn't want an induction at +10 days (that's when they do it here) but when I'm actually there I might have a completely different opinion and be like get this baby out now!
PP, have you tried drinking those nutritional shake-thingees to get some calories in you? The milkiness might even be soothing on your throat!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Had a bit of a freak out yesterday as i was just walking across the road and nearly froze to the spot i seemed to just hit me it could be less than a month and my life will have changed
completey after 30 odd years of it being one way, i just wont be able to do the things the way i do them now if that makes sense i will always have to think of someone else 1st, which i am looking forward to dont get me wrong but it seems to have just hit me. Sorry ladiesbut just having a bit freak out this morning xxxDarling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0 -
Lou i'm feeling the same way, even though it's not my first. It's 30 days til my EDD and i'm scared, i'm so used to life just being me and DS. I'm scared of being on my own with a new baby again too but trying to think of the positives in being rid of the ex.0

awww, lou (and Beenie!)*hugs* I know how you mean, though - I have those moments sometimes, especially as it gets scarily close! I'm 34 wks on Saturday and for some reason that seems like a big threshold as I'm going to start taking my EPO, upping my RLT, perineal massage, etc. Makes labour seem soooo close!
Is weird to think that even just popping 'round the corner to the shop won't be the same!! Think once I go on ML it'll seem REALLY real.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
