    Hi ladies :wave::hello:

Just got back home after spending the weekend at my mums house. She gave me some fabric nappies (newborn size) BNIB and i'm debating whether to keep them to use when bean arrives or to sell them on ebay. Must admit i was given some fabric nappies for DS but never used them as i was put off by having to wash nappies. Will most likely end up selling them and use the money to buy an outfit for DS and bean.;)

Am i the only one on here getting really excited about christmas? I have the urge to make christmas cards and wrap up pressies! Was thinking about making a nappy wreath to represent bean at christmas (would hang it on the inside of the front door) but am not at all crafty and have a feeling it would probably end up looking like a dogs dinner

DS wore the squeaky shoes his nan brought for him today and it was sooo adorable hearing his little shoes squeak as he ran around my aunties house (went for the monthly family get together today).

Anyone have any tips for getting a good nights sleep? I'm finding it impossible to get a good nights sleep as every side i lie down on is uncomfortable. The only thing that makes me feel comfy is if i put my legs on top of my DH's but then that makes him uncomfortable so that's not a viable solution  and my body pillows not worrking either as i find it awkward to lug around.

So if anyone could give some tips for a comfy nights sleep then it would be greatly apprecited. :A  :A

Good night sleep - I was helped a lot by putting a pillow between my legs, from knee to upper thigh area . It seemed to help quite a bit.

It would depend on the car, my car is a vectra decent would be £40 more if i could afford lol thats with discounts so not cheap but as you have found can be priceless. Best thing to do is check the car manual find out the best battery then search local garages for deals.

Also if that one is meant to be new take it back you are entitled to a new one as it must be faulty, don't be fobbed off by the old but you have used it stuff. HTH

LCK i had that with DS and it lead up to the labor later that week, it can come on and disappear in a second. try to relax see if they get more pain full in an hour if not go for a sleep. They can last for hours in the days before full blown labor. just check your bags just in case, good luck, and vibes to you.

Thanks for this, I'll stop panicking. Timings still pretty consistent but pain not escalating. Think I might just go to bed and read. I guess if I manage to fall asleep and the pains gets worse I'll wake up. Just a little nervous as we are 1 hour away from hospital!

  • EA; Because you are so lovely and wonderfull and gorgous and I love you, could you possibly maybe email me book 5??? I`ve only read the first chapter of it and I did I mention I love you???

Fidget; Congrats on your new arrival.

I'm probally being a complete whine baby but I'm a bit concerned about my boobs. One is leaking when its poked or squished even slightly which I gather is normal at this point in pregnancy but the other one doesn't, in fact the nipple is a slightly weird blue/purply color and lately the actual boob itself has been a bit sore and very very hot. Is this somethine I should be concerned about?
Also are there any tips on breast pads??? From what I've seen they are just expensive cotton wool pads which I'd rather buy, but I could be wrong. I definately need to start using one a night as I'm leaving little patches where Ive been laying.

Morning all, another reasonable nights sleep, but could quite easily have stayed in bed, god damn work, roll on ML.

Fishcake - cotton wool might work but it your leaking a fair bit then I'd say opt for the proper pads as they have a waterproof backing and this is what will stop the show on your clothes. Also you might find cotton wool would look odd if your wearing something tight fitting and I be a bit annoying (breast pads are quite thin). You could look at reusable/washable ones if your worried about cost.

LCK - Good luck just in case this is it for you :D

Labour vibes for everyone else in need xxx

Morning all, hope everyone is well.
LCK are you still with us???

Well i ache all over this morning, I can barely walk feel like i have pins restricting movement in my legs.

Rant Alert, i can't hold it in any longer. skip if emotional today!!

Got a call yesterday from dad in a bit of a panic obviously my reaction was sis had taken a bad turn but it wasn't her. My gran has been admitted to hospital she stopped breathing on my mum and she had to call an ambulance, Who thought reading those wall charts in hospital where a waste of time, mum remembered them and gave gran cpr till help arrived.

So me and mum spent most of yesterday at the hospital waiting to hear about gran, Things do not look to good for her. They told us that it is touch and go if she recovers (pneumonia), she is getting anti biotics and fluids but we have been told that given her age and other medical problems they will not intervene if she slips away.

That all kept us busy until we went to see sis around 7 and walked in in the middle of them battling to save her, i thought dad was gonna pass out then mum went a little hysterical. The doctor warned us that if they couldn't get her stabilized and her oxygen up within the hour we may lose her, the nurse then told him about my gran and it is the first time i have seen a hospital doctor look shocked(he must have felt terrible).

After just less than an hour(felt like days) a surgical team and 3 doctors and a blur of nurses they made her comfortable and allowed us in to see her. She's bad and was trying to get us to take her home she was covered in blood as they had struggled to give her medication's and had to put in new lines.

Called late last night before bed and she was stable but no improvement, i guess that is better than deterioration. So we are now visiting 2 relatives in hospital with not very good out looks. Both of them are strong and as determined as each other so i just hope that wins through for them now, when it is needed.

Fish cake, i think you should contact the MW about your boob best to be safe, and i would advice breast pads over cotton wool. Shop about and you can get them pretty cheap depending on what offers are on in the different shops.HTH

Forgot to mention i feel like my life is now a really bad american sitcom, all doom and gloom. Full of dramatics.
