I love being a bargain hunter in tescos !!! It's quite sweet really on a friday me and my mum and my nan go to a big tescos and they leave me to get all the bargains but you have to watch it with tescos because the other week they had reduced the bigger ketchup so it was less than the smaller one !! if that makes sense ?? Also we are known by a few of the cashiers they think it's strange to see 3 generations shopping everyweek and last week the cashier i was meant to be her last customer so she got some one else to do my Nan and also helped us packed telling me to sit down as i looked shattered. Such a sweet lady so i found her line manager and told him how great she was

I was just going around closing down old catalouge accounts, when i thought i would close my simply be one, i logged on and they have upped my credit limit to £700!:eek:

So now im in a dilemma, i worked hard to get that credit limit by spending and paying back on time, and i do love some of the stuff on there, and would most prob buy from there again, so is it wise to not close the account and keep it for the future? :D

  • EA did you go to the last m&S penny day? I don't want to put you off but you do know there is like only a list of 10 cheap items you get to choose from. You don't actually have to spend 5p there is a woman at the end of the queue holding a bucket and you put in a donation. No end of people didn't put anything in. I won't be going again. I got there before the store opened and the queue outside was un real. They let a few in at a time and gave you a leaflet to start to think about what you wanted before you got to the stall, The queue went down quite fast i only waited 15 mins but by then it had all gone! I managed to get a bag of sweets that's all, i gave them 20p.
It is 5 items per person but massive families were all going and getting 5 each, Guess what was on ebay the same day. All the m&s stuff. Some of the stuff was a pair of pants but pot luck on the size, a purse, mug, beach ball, cheap cufflinks, cheap necklace, sweets, can of pop, tea towel etc. It wasn't worth me paying for parking.

Nipped to 2 tescos as i saw the j2o post on hotukdeals but sold out in both my locals. Good find though.

  • Afternoon everyone!

Feeling a bit peed off. Had 12 week scan last week but they couldn't schedule my first consultant appointment til today. Hubby booked today off work to take me (cos I'm nervous of driving there by myself - such a wuss!) Its a 35 mile round trip as it is, had to pay £3 for parking. Appointment was at 1.50, a nurse took my blood pressure at 2.15, then I didn't get in to see the consultant til 2.30. She spent 5 mins with us telling us everything I already knew - what appointments I needed when (on a letter anyway) and that I'm more at risk cos of high BMI, and that was it! What a waste of time and money - surely I could have had by blood pressure taken at the GP's opposite my house!

Before we left for appointment I had to call police cos there was strange young men hanging our private garages drinking litre bottles of vodka at midday!

On a brighter note, had a lovely Chicken Pizziola sub from subway for lunch with loads of gherkins! I have a very strange obsession for gerkins!

Talking about cross stitch, I really need to get back into it, I made a gorgeous Winnie the Pooh blanket for my new nephew last year. It took about 6 months but I was so proud of it. I then bought several more kits but then went off the idea!

    Good to see PP back!
