    Hi all,

Went for my 20 week scan today, was v nervous but thankfully everything was good! The baby is doing well; strong heartbeat, everything functioning ok! Feel like I can finally relax and try to enjoy this pregnancy! Bubs is measuring 21 wks 4 days so thats good. Bubs also kept chomping, looked like he/she was eating or chatting! OH reckons its like a mini me as i dont stop talking!

Went to sainsburys to use my free mum 2 be kit voucher, bought some nappies that were reduced from £5.99 to £3.99, and then had a further £1.00 off voucher, also got some wipes for 64p, and the mum 2 be voucher took off £9.99 for the kit and it had been reduced to £6.70 so that took afew pounds off our shopping! Also managed to pick up 4 new cotton tops from the Tu range, 20% off clothing atm so they were all £4.00 each! Am thinking about getting couple more packs of nappies as they are cheap there atm.

Looked in toys r us and tried to choose what we are going to need! Think we needa mortgage to pay for it all!! Now considering a travel system as they seem better value. Love the ziggy zebra range there!! All we bought was a cute bear hat and matching mittens for £2.25.
  • Hour 35 of Mo's labour.... (read in the voice of the Big brother guy! lol)
Ok so its 3am, i've had somewhere around 3 hours sleep and been awake for the last half hour or so. My cold pack thing is carp, may have to throw it in the microwave as it can also be a heat pack and see if that works.
Lots of lower back pain which is what i was used to with the first two labours and the contractions are getting a bit stronger, not quite 5mins yet but i'm sure it wont be long!
Only prob being, got the two kids in the house sleeping, my aunt is (normally) a 20min drive away and said 'phone anytime', however, we've had snow, which means she'll have LOTS of snow!!!
Hoping to hang about here for an hour or so, go for a bath back of four, try and stay in it for an hour or so and then start contacting folk at a reasonable hour!
auch well, thanks for listening, will try and update before leaving for the hospital.

Kitkat - thats great news about your scan! I bought a travel system, cant wait to get out and about with it! Just glad its the school hols on Fri so i dont need to be deaing with the school run in this weather with a newborn! lol

Jopsey - hope youre doing ok, I should be able to update fb once there's news and you can let folk know what's happening! take care

    thanks

I certainly will Maureen ,hope the snow dosn't cause you too many problems not ,and sending you speedy up labour vibes ,I am soo excited for you xx

I feel so much better about taking the co codimol that the MW asked GP to prescribe for me for my arm's tonight ,he practically scared me half to death about them not being too good for the baby and can cause breathing problems and if I was to take them it's at my own risk ect ,but if i don't take them i am in agony through the night .My lovely MW said ignore him and if your where on the antenatal ward they would give them to you ,so just popped 2 and waiting for them to kick in before I get back to bed .

DS cough getting a bit better and not been sick tonight so that's another thing off my mind ,MIL is coming to take him for a few hours tommorrow(he broke up last Thur ) so I can get a few things done like put drapes on crib and other stuff

Kitkat thats great news ,but on the buying stuff front have you considered 2 nd hand ,I bought everything new with DS and spent a fortune (then gave it all away ARGHH!!) this time around I have most things 2nd hand and hand on heart there is no difference in fact I seem to have more things ie cot, swinging crib, travelcot, moses basket ,carrycot to sleep in , with DS I had just cot and moses basket
If you keep your eye on ebay you can get some mega bargains if you use the distance search thingy and collect within your area .

enough waffle from me ,hope everybody is doing well ,I have to ring up after 10 am for my blood results so should know further what is going to happen then
    Take care

Congrats moosmummy, and huge labour vibes to Maureen and Jopsey, hope your having baby cuddles soon.

Well had 28 week midwife appt yesterday and everything was fine, except little monkey is lying oblique (but head down rather than bum down) Now I'm not worried at all as they have plenty of time to get into the right position and I've got loads of methods to try to get them lying in the right way, however MW was really concerned and has booked me for a scan at 33 weeks to see if they are still presenting oblique, and if they are then she is referring me to the consultant (which I really don't want) so it is all systems go for project baby turn :)

I'm hoping that by the scan they will have got into the right position and can avoid seeing consultant altogether. I knew from the start this bubs was in an awkward position though it just felt really strange compared to DD.

On the plus side, I get an extra chance to see bubs and although I'm not going to ask if they can see sex (as DH really doesn't want to know, and I kind of don't) I will be keeping a close eye out for any clues :)
