Glad to see you back PP, hope you start feeling better soon and get over your infections.

We just had a dirty dinner of sausage, egg, chips and mushrooms. Not something we normally eat but I had a greasy urge :rotfl: Probably going to regret it hugely soon.

  • Hey all,
Excellent news from the land of the Fishcake, my internet is safe!!! I now have internet at home. My lovely lovely future MIL has offered to pay for the internet for the next 2 months so we dont have to find the £25 a month for it. She lives about 30 miles away and we often chat on MSN and she didn't want to miss any baby news!!
On the bad side my ex boss is now saying I left my job voluntarily so I don't think I can claim Jsa, but if we're carefull we should be able to survive the 8 weeks untill my maternity kicks in.

  • Sidekick - as I think has already been said, perhaps give him a little time. If you imagine you weren't pregnant but that as a couple you were considering starting a family, it would be natural for one of you to start thinking about it more positively before the other one. In this case, neither of you were considering it, so it's bound to be a shock, and it may just be that you have adjusted to the idea before him.

Helen, I love those photos; they're gorgeous!

MrsI, I'm pleased your little boy is a bit better today.

Lou, I'm pleased the scan went well.

Mermaid, I found that 'Nice' biscuits helped a bit with the MS.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Sorry PP :o How about noodle soup or something similar? I used to get tonsillitus every fortnight all winter for about 6 years and thats the only thing I could eat. I was about 20 when they finally whipped them out!

Fishcake fab news on your iinternet! What a lovely MIL.

Three - was so shocked to read that you lost your sister. Thinking of you and your family. Hope to see you back here when you're feeling up to it

You ladies have got me into some awful eating habits. I have been having soup and a wholemeal bun for lunch. All the greggs talk has got me back onto sausage rolls and now everyday I have been having a sausage roll and then my soup, and while in Greggs buying my sausage roll I inevitable buy a cake or biscuit! My current favourite is the shortbread with the jam star in the middle!!!

gymfiend - I can't believe your OH's family - I wouldnt dream of accepting someone elses clothes and then selling them! That's disgusting. And it's yours and your OH's business if you want to visit somebody - if you wanted them there you'd tell them lol

    Helen - I love your pics :)

Princess - so glad to hear from you. We've all been really worried. Thank god the LO is hanging on in there and lots of get well vibes to you.

sidekick - give your DH time and make sure you take him with you to the first scan. Seeing that tiny little thing moving around with a beating heart will turn him to jelly :)

I have a slight aversion to soup, cup a soups were my craving when i was pregnant with DD1, looked after a friends child for the day whilst pregnant who filled my kettle up with sugar i didnt realise til i made a cup a soup and drank it
Never been able to touch soup since :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I did buy some ben and jerrys ice cream on my way home from the hospital though that should reduce the swelling in my throat right???:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • GISI - Those ikea cloths are a bargain!! Hmm I am not sure what to do, saw a whole kit thing on ebay but dont wanna spend too much on them as eventually we will be using normal wipes, just not in the first 6 weeks or so.

Cant wait to watch Gordy at 9!!

Boogelly that dinner sounds just divine, nom!!

I keep getting paranoid that baby isnt moving much. Deep down I think its just where hes run out of room, but all I seem to get now is odd shifts of bump from side to side and its been worrying me a little today. Does this sound normal to you ladies near my due date? xx
