Hi EA, I do them similar to kindof except I just wash the pots, I dont peel them, and I cut them into wedge or chip shapes. I preheat some oil on a baking tray (bit like I would for roast spuds) and pop the chips in that and turn them over so they are coated (like kindofs idea of putting them in a bag though). I put my fan oven on high, around 200 and keep them in for about 35/40 mins too turning halfway, we do like them nice and done though
HTH!!

When we do homemade chips, we par boil first, made me quite fancy chips now...
May I rant?
OH has just come in and told me his twin brother has rung him having a go about us going to see his dad without him and his gf yesterday. Erm...what? Apparently we must tell him everything we do, so he can come too. He's such a little pr*ck, he often goes to visit people without telling us and regularly babysits for niece where we are never asked to - we don't care, nor do we ever mention this fact! I can't bear his family sometimes, poor OH gets stuck in the middle of everything because he doesn't want an argument, and gets sh*t on in the process. I told him that when he speaks to him next he should say thanks for his birthday present - the one he never got, despite their being twins, he obviously didn't forget! Grrrrrrrr  He's also the one that regularly tells us our choice in baby names is horrendous and too posh, well I'd rather be too bl**dy posh than a complete tramp :mad::mad: Oh, and OH gave him some clothes recently that he didn't want anymore before I eBayed to see if he wanted anything - took it all and what do I see on eBay the next week, all his clothes. Now, if we'd intended to give them to be sold we'd have said as much, but OH clearly said 'let me know what you don't want and we'll eBay':mad::mad: They made well over £100 from the lot, £100 that we could use what with me having lost my work contract and us expecting a baby, arrrrrrrgh
Rant over, feel much better nowBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Omg gymfiend, i'd be fuming and i would ask for their eBay profits, if only to let them know you know! What a cheek!!0

I'm livid at their sodding cheek, to dare to have a go at OH about going to his dads without him? Seriously, he needs to get a grip, they're almost 30 years old for gods sake. Wish OH would just stand up to him and tell him exactly what he is, a selfish, childish (duh, not childless!), money grabbing little sod.
Must get over it, only gonna spend the night annoyed!
OH did bring me home cherry coke, and a milkybar because there was no tobleroneBless him, so love him
