Gym - Hope all goes well (and quickly) today.

    Fishcake - congratulations!

EA - lovely pic of Lily!

Bexta - I'm 34 and don't feel like a proper grown-up yet! Maybe a baby and wedding ring will change things!

We had great fun yesterday ring hunting - I know what style I want now, but we already have a ring with a diamond (from OH's grandma) and we want to find a jeweller that can make the style we want using the diamond that we already have.

Also exciting (for me) - I got my first pair of maternity trousers (black trousers for work)!! They were £20 from Next which I thought was good, they fit well and are sooo comfy I'm looking forward to wearing them!

It looks like a nice day here today so I'll try to have a walk later, as my energy is coming back I need to start exercising again.

Better go - OH is making my egg for breakfast and I just heard the timer go off!

    xxx

    Morning everyone,
Good luck for the induction today Gymfiend!
    Congratulations Fishcake!
Gena - congratulations on your engagement (and the first pair of maternity trousers!).
Hope everyone's having a nice weekend? Mine's going well (other than killer heartburn...), yesterday we went to the beach for a walk and took a picnic, which was nice. Even better, we were walking by a farm and DD was looking at the lambs when the farmer and his wife came out and asked if we wanted to see the newborn lambs in the shed - they had been born that morning. The farmer then let DD bottle feed a little lamb that had just been orphaned. She thought that was wonderful!
Today my parents are taking us all out to lunch at a lovely pub as they insist that they don't know when they'll get a chance to treat us again with a newborn baby around. Can't wait - we've been before and the food's yummy!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

I find when I lie down it's more obvious where baby is but it's normally only his back that I can see. I know from both times midwife has checked that he his head down, and I can feel his feet booting me in the ribs! When he hicups it's above/around my bellybutton that I feel it tho

Hmm - i tend to feel what i think are kicks towards by lower back, but to be honest often i feel all sorts of different things in what feels like five places at once! I have my 36 week appointment next Monday, and the midwife mentioned booking me in to hospital to turn the baby if he hasn't moved by himself, so fingers crossed...

Not much planned for today. Am saving sorting out all the baby things till i'm on maternity leave - can't wait! OH is flat out in bed after arriving home at 3am in an absolute state. Bless him - he's been an absolute star for the whole of my pregnancy, but we've agreed that he can have one boys night out a fortnight now i'm in the third trimester, and he obviously thinks he has to make up for lost time! Actually, does that sound a bit harsh? I just don't feel much like going out in the evenings now, and i don't think it would be fair if he was out drinking every weekend whilst i was stuck at home?

    Good luck Gymfriend!

Gym - been lurrking to see if you had the little man yet, dont seem to have time for much else atm! Really dont panic about the induction, Im only half way thru writing up my BS atm as Mum and step dad are here the weekend but just wanted to say mine went really well and was so pleased we went for it earlier than waiting the full 14 days. I was induced with one gel at 9.30 Sunday evening, at 1am the contractions started, by 6am I was 4cm and by 6.40am I was 8cm (ok so that part was very fast and prob not quite normal!) but I was fully dialated by 8am and started pushing and bub arrived bang on 9am :D I certainly wouldnt mind if I had to be induced again if Im lucky enough to be pg a second time. Anyhoo am sure it wont hurt to wish you the very best of luck xx

Well havent got time for much else Tahlie is stiring and probably after more Booby juice lol, she's such a lil guzzler! Either than or its yet another messy nappy, which is fab but she has such a tiny bum even the size 1s are a tad big and a bit leaky so going thru a few outfit changes atm!
Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpuls

Redstar - what a fab weekend you're having :) You deserve it after the stresses of the last few weeks! And what a lovely experience for your DD - it's one of those things that they remember forever! Was gonna say I'd have a loved it as a kid....but I'd love it now lol

Gillby - I know what you mean about the kicks in different places! I'll see his back moving and get the kicks in the ribs then at the same time have something happening waaaaay over on the other side! I can only assume it's his hands but it does freak me out how long he must be lol

Som - really looking forward to reading your birth story. It's good to hear another positive induction experience.

I've got a couple of friends coming today then we can go out to lunch. Having problems over what to wear tho as everything that fits me is too warm for this weather!!! Will have to have a root and see what I can cobble together. Bump seems to have got massive in the last few days.

Having a good weekend for bargains as well - got a bag of bedding and a bag of 0 - 3 baby boy stuff from freecyle yesterday. Not had chance to look at the bedding but the clothes are immaculate, they look as good as new. Also DH is going to pick up my bargainous £2.20 moses basket stand this afternoon :)

  • Morning everyone

Lily is so cute, especially in the top.

Hope Gym is in and things are going well.

Hope everyone else is having a relaxing Sunday.

I am 14 wks today, but as have lost the early pregnancy symptoms, don't feel bubs yet or have a bump don't actually feel pregnant although have seen evidence of bubs, is a v weird feeling.

Som- I'm sure you already know this but you can get these:

    http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Smart-Nappy-disposable-nappy/dp/B000TUQVZY?_encoding=UTF8&

Supposed to be for smart nappy but if you buy a few packs they can be put inside a disposable too until she has grown a bit to fill her nappies. My DD was the same, teeny tiny bum (still has, all her trousers fall down constantly! :D) but might save you a few changes of clothes (and washing) a day!

Afternoon all (or it will be by the time I finish this post - hoping it doesnt get eaten by the post monster!)

Glorious weather here today, got the back door open to air out the house a bit and the fat pug is sitting inside the back door sunning himself... he's such a poser!

Did ok-ish for breakfast today LOL Had a huge bowl of cheerios, and then ended up eating a whole easter egg and then a pint of water ..... so some progress but still not great LOL

Got plenty to do today, two loads of laundry (and therefore putting it all away), washing up from my healthy dinner last night, fat puglet to walk, cards to write...
However I set up my Ipod dock in the kitchen yesterday (all by myself LOL DH normally jumps in with anything with cables and instructions he can ignore). Am v.impressed with my dad's choice, sound is really good and has a flashy remote, so Im gonna get my groove on to Stevie Wonder in a wee while....

Then I need to tidy the baby's room. Ive been getting everything out of packets, i.e blankets to see what sizes the are, so empty packets everywhere.
Think I may also have to make a start on washing it all as well.... Theres so much stuff!!!!! ARGH....

Had a dream last night that I had a c-section.... but they didnt put anything up to cover my nether regions.... and my son has perfectly styled blonde hair and no gunk, and kissed me when they put him to my face LOL God if only!!!

28 weeks yesterday and Im only just now starting to think of him as a small person, was watchig him roll around last night..... thinking he'll have a little personality and everything. DH said he hopes he has some common sense, because people who dont really bug him LOL..... Im just hoping he's healthy and has everything he should have....

Good luck for today Gym'. Hope it all goes smoothly for you xx
