Best of luck, you've come this far, the rest will fall into place i'm sure. x

  • Hi ladies, it's so quiet here:cool:

Som, sorry to hear sweep was a no go but YAY for induction, the sweep might not have had any effect anyway even if it had been possible and at least now you don't have to wait too much longer. Best, best wishes to you, you'll soon be having mummy cuddles with your precious lil girl:j

Congrats Guinea, you sound suitably delighted with baby Jonathan (sp sorry)
Sorry you didn't have a good experience at MK hosp. I am seriously not sure what to do now, one of the mums from ds school had a baby there last week and said the same despite the 'special measures'.
I had my other 3 there but that was 11, 9 and 6 yrs ago- it was ok then-not great but ok. But it seems things have been sliding in past couple of years. People keep asking why I don't have a home birth but with my 3 kids it is just easier to be able to get IL's to come here while we go to hosp than it would be for us to drop them at IL's where they won't have any of their belongings etc and I'm not happy to have a HB with kids still here:o

Kindof and Gym- super duper mahoosive labour vibes for you. Try the star jumps if you can:j:j:j
    Busy mummy of 4.:j
  • Hi EA, Happy New Mothers day to you for tomorrow:D
    Busy mummy of 4.:j
  • Hi everyone,
Kindof, I've got my fingers crossed that this is the start of things for you...
    Happy Mother's Day EA.
Som - don't blame you in the slightest re your in-laws, I would feel the same.
Hope everyone's ok, and hugs for anyone in need!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Anyone who's been induced bfore got any useful insight or tips?

HI I was induced for my last baby, 2 weeks overcooked, I was really nervous but turned out great, was more organised, relaxing(ish) morning then pessary, me & hubby told to walk around the grounds to help get things moving, started with mild contractions within the hour, watched the bedside tele to take my mind of things and gradually got stronger but as i was already at hospital didnt feel as panicky about getting to hospital for the gas and air :) the whole labour was a few hours long and contractions seemed more productive and quicker than my previous natural births (when i say natural i do mean with gas & air I'm not that daft/brave) :)

:grouphug: dodgy hugs kindof. Have you got your midwifes number can you call her and see if she can check you over. I'm wondering if you could be in slow labour especially as your pains seem to be getting worse just not any more regular.
