evening all
i'm 15 weeks tomorrow and went to see the midwife and heard babys heartbeat for the 1st time, was really nice!!
i have low platelets and she didn't really explain what it meant further down the line and wondered if anyone else had had this???0 -
Just finished watching OBEM and loved the ending. Actually made me feel a bit emotional to see how happy Joy was at having her little girl. Awww0

X-mas - thats awful! I'd definately be calling social services! not just for the junior arsonist but letting the weans roam about the streets - my wee one is 4 and i wont let her out the house nevermind the garden without supervision!
Gill - thats pants about your AN classes - watching OBEM def sounds like good idea!
Nikki - pants youve still not got heating! hope its all sorted soon!Wow, loads of stuff going on. Xmas, I can totally see why you wanna kill the little wotsit and his mum! Nena - if you think a colds bad, I'll swap you the nits I've got from my little cousins. OMG how disgusting are they? I feel so creepy and gross  Trouble is, none of their mums ever do anything about them, so you spend your whole time with them trying to keep your head away from them, difficult when they're only kids.
I know what you mean Bexta - someone in my sons class 2 years ago had them constantly, everytime we'd get them cleared for a few weeks, they'd reappear! Spent months combing conditioner through his hair and freaking myself out about them!!! eurgh!!! The schools cant do much about them now either, cant even send a letter to say that they're going around, you've just got to find them for yourself!!
Been watching JoFrost! She's great - some of the kids need a kick up the bum... but some of the parents even more so! lol
off to bed so i'll see obem tomorrow,
night ladies,
big labour vibes to those in need - good luck for tomorrow LMF!

Becky your platelet count has something to do with your blood clotting apparently it will naturally fall towards the end of your pregnancy. i personally have always had really good blood so never had a problem but a friend had to be monitored during her pregnancy due to level being around 100 but they were happy for her to have a natural birth as long as they didnt fall below the 80 mark which they never did :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

thanks, mine was 114 and have had it repeated today.0

CAFC - I think all of us wanting water births are in the same situation, as most of the hospitals only have one maybe two pools, so first come first saved! Also it depends alot on on your actual labour, there are things for medical reasons that may stop you birthing in the pool.
Mo - sorry to dissapoint on the baby front! Hope you had a good, altho tiring week end
xmas - OMG thats really scary! Hope your all ok, was there much damage? Can't believe some parents!
nene - poor you and naughty daughter, hope you shake it quick.
gill - eek for your class, shambles indeed! Cant believe there were so many peeps there too!
bexta - Nits sounds yuk, poor you. But big yeay for your Mum coming
kindof - hope you get some rest and those B&H turn into something good
Nikkit - dont know if its worth a yeay for the hot water when the heating is still off! I suppose its better than neither, hope the heating is done for you tomorrow x
EA - men really should learn to keep them kinda opinions to themselves unless they like getting hurt, moany indeed!
B&J - yeay for hearing bubs heart beat for first time, I always like that part of the appointmentsNo Idea about the platlets sorry!
LMF - good luck vibes for tomorrow hun xx

Hi everyone
Sorry I haven't logged on for a couple of days but I've been a bit down.Still no baby so I am now five days overdue.
I am panicing about having any form of internal and really don't want to have a sweep or anything like that.
I know I won't care when I'm actually in labour (as everyone keeps on reminding me!) but I DO care at the moment. Rant over thank you!
I had a shaky start to the day today as I cried and cried about baby not being here.I've had a lovely four days with OH as he's had time off work but he's now at work so am feeling down in the dumps.
I will be starting my front garden tomorrow with the help of Mum. My back is so bad at the moment but I still want a lovely front garden when people come to visit Baby Bump! I will also be planting some more seeds....planted potatoes the other day! :rotfl:
Midwife was meant to come round today at 3pm. I waited and waited and thought maybe she's busy with someone actually giving birth so phoned her at 4pm. What was her response?! "Oh, I forgot...I didn't put it in my diary! Haven't you had the baby yet?" How many bl**dy times have I heard that now?!:mad: So...she's coming round tomorrow at 10.15...no lie-in for me tomorrow then?!
Hope everyone is doing well though!! :beer:Baby Bump born 4th March 2010! :kisses:

kind of ; re tax credits , I am on tax credits now and was told it starts from begining of ML , if you are not on tax credits it starts from day of birth of baby HTH.
We have hot water but no heating till tomorrow
Good luck LMF X
Thanks for that Nikkit, I know you arent a expert but can I rattle your brains lol?
SO if I took annual leave from 8th Feb to 7th March I would tell Tax Credits thaty ML started on 8th March (if of course beany is here lol) then my ML leave ends 5th Dec
Then to complicate it even more lol I am taking 4 weeks FT annual leave from 6th Dec - 2nd Jan 2010 (so 37 hours a week)
Then from 3rd Jan I plan on working 27 hours a week. So do I need to tell them all that, and then they will disregard £100 a week from 8th march - 5th dec (if he is born by the 8th?)
Thank god you have hot wter and I bet you cant wait for the heating today lol
Nene - lol its like our weekly !!!!! isnt it lol I have mine on the planner to watch later lol, so I will be back !!!!!ing about them lol
Xmas - what a little !!!!!! grrr, I am pleased you are all ok
Welcome beckyandjack sorry I cant help with your question I am sure someone will be able to help you though
Bexta Ive been trying to prepare OH for nits lol and he is like "I never had them, Elliot might not get them" I was like nah, they seem to be more rife these days lol, I am aways hearing people talking about getting them again and again at school
Som when are you next at drs?
Guinea - I am exactly the same as you and I just get !!!!ed off when people laugh at me and say well when baby is here you lose all dignity, well I dont care if I do I am still allowed to feel uncomfortable with the thought of any internals or sweeps etc
Sorry to hear the MW didnt come
Well I have had a !!!!! sleep lol, went to bed early (well the same time we nomrally do lol) and I was having really regular BH and I was getting pains in belly like period cramps and back pains, and I was all ohhhhhh is this going to get more and strgoner etc
But then I managed to fall asleep then all I seemed to do was wake up every half an hour, I oculdnt get warm even though I had my nightie on and the temp gauge said it was over 18 degrees which I think is warm, so I couldnt really get bck to sleep
So I brought myself onto the sofa at half 5 cos I didnt want to wake OH up

Kindof - Im at doc's this morning at 10 am. I could have written that last part of your post, also had a poo nights sleep and also due to period like cramps in back and belly. Was so hard to get comfy think it took me over an hour and a half to get to sleep, then just kept waking up every 20/30 minutes. Laying on my side was so uncomfy but really cant lay on my back either
keep getting pins and needles too!
Guinea - yet more big, huge, labour vibes for you xx and a big boo at your carp MW, I would have been majorly pee'd off.
CAFC - I found dried apricots work wonders when am constipated, and there nommy too
Just had to raid the money box for change for parking! Got lots of £1 coins but its only 60p at docs and I refuse to give them more, which I could pay for some permit hate having to constantly find change and theres no other parking around the docs without having to walk a fair distance. Didnt get to watch OBEM last night and OH has footie tonight so not sure when Im gonna see itBaby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2
